"just John Wardle doing John Wardle thing"
Andrew has a way with words. You know... the place...?!
@@Archimarathon haha, classic
Enjoyed the trees , sunshine and the river as architecture needs landscape
Great video! I'll have to try this route out sometime :)
Or invent your own if you know the buildings
I used to do a lot of illustrations for the Catholic publishing department and I was lucky enough to go into that Yunken and Freeman building. I didn’t know it was by them at the time, but it has a great sense of space and large floor-to-ceiling windows looking out into that sunken garden.
Jealous
Imagine if one of you are just there for the bike ride lmao. Kudos, this is a healthy way to appreciate architecture. 👍
Yeah, a bicycle is a FANTASTIC way to explore your city. Done it before, def recommend, even if you have a cheap and old bike.
Great vid! Best way to explore architecture (and urbanism): On two wheels.
Any chance you could share a link to the map by Coy Yiontis?
Wow after hearing about buildings doing John Wardle things I looked him up. Recognised some of his work and can I just shout-out the Performing Arts Center 😮
Glad to see this ride was not a race, in spite of all the lycra. The riders and bikes would have looked quite different in the Netherlands, and Kevin would have blended right in if he'd taken his helmet off :). I'll look out for something like this where I live!
I am Euro Chic. Also nice to see the back catalogue is getting some love.
I love the way these guys-are-who-they-are. Jeans on a bike because that’s natural to you. No pretending, truth-to-materials, denim material 😅😂
Why would I wear another else? I am just riding a bike around the city
@@Archimarathon Good point :D
Definitely can't do that by bike in Sydney, but I'd like to see you try 😂
Lol! By seeing you mean chasing us behind with a large SUV?
WARDELING ALONG oooooo
I can't believe Kevin decided to wear pants !
Better than Lycra. Just my everyday wear. Not a drop of sweat. #ebikeftw
Where can you get photos of the archdiocese? I can't find any of the sunken courtyard online.
I have never seen photos of it. You can see the circular courtyard in any of the 3D maps though.
ua-cam.com/video/ypCrz_2jivw/v-deo.html 45secs in ;)
Is the map available anywhere?

what about a wiff of Melbourne food. Surely architects eat.
Are you requesting a Melbourne food and architecture episode or something?
@@Archimarathon I'm binging through all of your videos and saw this comment lol. I for one would love a food episode
There are cyclists ( some MTB'ers) that are ambivalent about lycra shorts; wear shorts to just above the knee. Jeans mm... nah, maybe cut-offs. Jeans on a boat absolutely a no-go
Except we were riding in a city
@@Archimarathon 😊...I hope you tucked your socks into the jeans leg...😁. All good dude, love your work
No need. It doesn’t have exposed chain wheel.
its called chafing
well done electric bike!
Future of urban mobility!!
Not only ride… also ride, stop and look and Not showing any building longer then a millisecond.
Bikes and blokes 🚺?.
