This is the first monitor to which I would want to upgrade from my CRG9. Been waiting for large 5K2K display for years. The feature set is just perfect, especially the bending, since I the curvature on typical gaming monitors is too aggressive for my taste, and now I could set it myself.
cant wait for the 39 inch model of this. perfect size at that res, i do wish we could get the 38 1600p ultrawides but either way ill take it haha. just wish the curve wasnt so much on the non bendables.
The previous 2 generations with lower resolution offered 240Hz 1440p. What has NOT been confirmed or to my knowledge ASKED is if this model can STILL do that? LG seem to want to promote upto 330Hz with 2560 x 1080 but that resolution is going to suck in comparison at 45".
@@Mr_Latte_UK The specs are confirmed to cap out at 165Hz at full resolution, unfortunately. The 330Hz 1080p figure is a perfect doubling of that (at half the resolution).
My thoughts exactly, it is so BS, they always have to leave something out. But hey, you can lower your resolution to a dogshit 1080P on a 45 inch screen to enjoy higher refresh rate, ffs
Next year more than likely…. I have the 2024 45” model at 3440x1440 and I absolutely love it. But to think the resolution can be worse that 3440x1440p at 45” would make this monitor unusable without a doubt!! The 84ppi to some is trash already. Any lower is just crazy. It’s passable for sure for me at 84ppi and in game unnoticeable at all. But within windows it’s noticeable. I’ve tried the 5k 2k with dldsr and my 4090 and it was struggling in all games beside esports titles. The perfect end game monitor hopefully next year will be 5k2k with at least 240hz for games that can achieve that with a good gpu and a duel mode for most gaming at 3440x1440p at over 300hz. It’s that simple.
Would have liked it to be glossy, ain't spending a fuckload for a matte screen. It ticks every other box though, might wait for the 39 inch version. Need to see the price.
Actually, I don't care at all about the Bendable aspect of this monitor: more mechanics mean more failure modes. The permanently Curved 45" LG 45GX950A seems far more interesting. That said USB Device Connectivity isn't covered in this or any of the other articles I've seen. Does it have an internal USB HUB? For instance, could I hang a Web Cam and Microphone on the top of it, route those to USB Inputs on the Monitor, and then run a single USB C from the Monitor to my MacBook, providing Power, Monitor, Web Cam, and Microphone all via that single USB C Connection?
@simoncooper8438 Keep an eye on our website www.abt.com We don't have any info yet on when to expect it, but we should be carrying these once they're available.
Can my GPU (4080) run games at 5k2k at 60+ fps? I am thinking about buying 45-inch monitor but can't decide with the resolution. Right now, I have 34-inch 3440x1440 panel and my 4080 runs everything greatly. Should I upgrade, any ideas?
I wonder will lg also offer 3year warranty for oled burnins, waiting for some non sponsored reviews, so far it looks like a dream monitor, I'd happily buy it over my curved gigabyte 32 va 2k
@@MustafaGTcalm down it isn’t that bad at all. I have the glossy of all glossy alienware qd-oled 34” dwf because I removed the pos film it came with years ago and also have the lg 45 2024 model “matte” and the matte finish is the best finish I’ve ever had on any monitor ever. I f’ing hate the reflections my 34 dwf puts off and can see everything behind me with the monitor with any light on or window open in my office. LG’s take on the anti reflection coating is amazing and I hope this new monitor has it again. But seeing other videos of this monitor it seems it’s a lot more glossy than last years model. But hopefully just as good because Samsungs qd-oled panels are a nightmare with reflections and coatings that scratch if you just breath on them and have to remove them just to get it somewhat right.
@ sooo you go out to buy an OLED monitor/TV which the whole purpose of it is to get those true glorious blacks and SHOULD be used in a dark environment, and you end up getting matte cuz you have too much reflections?? You’re doing it wrong bruh
You said it looked super bright... about how bright did it look for the 10% APL specular highlights? Would you say at least 1k nits? I'll always feel that when the manufacturer does not promote the brightness in nits, it must be under 1k nits in the 10%. LG always touts the brightness in the G series, but they never say anything about brightness for all of its other screen products.
@ 1k nits in the 10% APL is required for proper HDR. HDR Content is mastered at 1000nits and that’s what the original creator intended. Anything less than 1k nits in the 10% window is not full HDR.
@MistaVauros We don't have the equipment to measure so it's hard to say exactly, but rumors are that it's close to 1300 nits. The camera doesn't do it justice. If you live in the Chicagoland area we'll hopefully have one on display once they're available. Stop by and check it out!
In the video, it’s mentioned that this monitor has '10 million pixels plus,' but it’s actually over 11 million pixels (11,059,200). Also, the statement 'if you have a gaming PC that can do that', please show me one gaming PC that can deliver 330 frames per second at a native resolution of 5,120 x 2,160 pixels with V-Sync enabled. The technology just isn’t there for gamers. Why are manufacturers creating products that are unusable for real-world scenarios? Maybe aliens have gaming PCs that can handle this, but not here on Earth. I do like the 21:9 ratio and the adjustable curve, which are great features, but the rest of this monitor is an overkill. To LG: I’d love to see an OLED monitor in the range of 24 to 31 inches, with a resolution of 1920x1080@60Hz. This is the kind of monitor that gaming PCs here on Earth can realistically handle.
You can do 330Hz in speed-mode and then cap it at 240Hz if you reeally want that refresh rate. But there are no GPUs on the market right now or from the next gen that can output 330 or even 240fps on current-year released games in max settings + rts on a 5k2k monitor. 10 million pixels is a damn lot of pixels to drive. I have a 4090 and while it's monstrously overkill for old games, i sometimes struggle to keep a consistent 165Hz from 2024 games at max settings. I have to compromise on rts, and my screen is UWQHD, not 5K2K. I would imagine keeping 165Hz on a 5K2K you can't do max settings, so by the time you turn everything low enough to get 240Hz your game is just mashed pixelated mess. We need better GPUs not higher refresh rated monitors !
Only game in the past 7 years that I’ve played that hasn’t had ultra support is final fantasy games and ace combat 7. That’s it. Wouldn’t consider that a TON of games.
It's the greatest monitor for decades to come

I'm buying it..
Holy moly. It goes flat or curve on a press of a button
TAKE MY MONEY!
Never thought my LG Flex would get an upgrade.
mine too..
Really excited for this monitor😊
when is the non bendable 5120x2160 45" coming out in stores?
They said Q1 2025.
April 25 for approx. $2000

they are making a 39 or 40 inch version that is 240 late 2025 according to their roadmap :)
Is it uhbr20 display port 2.1

This in 5 to 10 years will be king. Its to early now for any gpus to handle that resolution at 45 inches
Release is Q2 2025 if sources are trustworthy
So what res was the other mode? 1080p?
That is a must-buy monitor. 😂

Is lg oled really good for photo editing?
Matte or glossy? Aspect ratio? Price?
probably matte so dont buy it...
Waste.
I need that for GTA six when it comes out soon 🎮
No release date, no price, no pre order
just take my money, was going to get the 1440p version but I think I will wait where can I preorder lol

How much does it cost and what are the dimensions of it?
The one that not motorized cost $2,000. It the one shown here in the video can be assume5to be more expensive then that
tariffs not included
Can the 5K × 2K 165 Hz signal be driven without DSC (compression) through a DP 2.1 port?
LG and Dell are the goats of PC monitors, epecially for gamers!

Its a lot of pixels to push. You're going to be running a lot of Med graphics. I've got the 4090 and I'll be doing the same. Lol
I wonder will lg also offer 3year warranty for oled burnins, waiting for some non sponsored reviews, so far it looks like a dream monitor, I'd happily buy it over my curved gigabyte 32 va 2k
I've been running an oled for 4 years. No burn in.
Is it matte or glossy?
Mat
@ In that case, I’ll pass!! Who in their right mind would make an OLED panel only to smear it with matte.
@@MustafaGT It isn't completely matte like older monitors. I have the 39" one and it is very good but q-oled still has colors that pop!!

game from 2021 called Chorus

bit rate on this video even at 4k isn't great so, wasn't good at displaying the monitor
gimme!
available in may of 2027.
forget OLED burn in will hit you in couple years

that's notre ultra wide 32/9, that's wide 21/9, most game supports it

looks trashtastic
