Shafalou Yanno, he actually has come pretty far for where falcon is in ultimate. He does not perform amazing in a tournament setting imo but when he’s hot, he’s my favorite player to watch.

Since Fatality glossed over tech-chase setups, I'll list Falcon's best options:
Gentleman: 0%
Nair 2: 15%
Bair: 30%
(Angled) Ftilt: 35%
Ftilt: 40%
Weak Bair: 50%
Falcon is usually fast enough to secure a jablock for all of these setups against most characters, though the timing can be tight for Gentlemen and Ftilt.

Sittyboy123 there are two types of jabs, gentleman and rapid. A rapid jab is when a character, as the name implies, rapidly punches. To do this, tap a twice then furiously mash A. A gentleman is a type of jab, usually a three hit combo, that some characters can perform. To do this, tap a 3 times at medium speed
Not sure if controller specific but on my controller I can just hold A down to get a gentleman. It's more consistent for me as I mess up the 3 presses a lot.

one thing i truly appreciate, is how you don't have yourself taking half of the place on the screen, and rather having it a place that doesn't ruin the gameplay!
With ultimate being my first smash I've mostly played Ganon for a simpler strategy focused around reading opponents and punish game, and inkling for a good combo character that's a little more forgiving than falcon.
But with practicing a bunch of the things I've picked up from the stream and these videos I'm starting to get better at the falcon combos, neutral game, and kill confirms. Just got my first perfect uair combo chain extended off platforms into a true up special confirm off the top. Felt sooo good.

I love the idea of jab lock with Falcon. Low% dair > low angle f-tilt is such a strong option setting up the option select between tech chase or straight up killing at 15% start.

I've said the same thing in another vid a while ago. I would looovvveee to see an i put camera because I genuinely think it would help my Falcon game. Glad to see others think the same. Us aspiring Falconeers can only hope!

I loved your first combo video but I watched it the other day and it is amazing to see the difference in how much u have progressed. Can't wait to see you in next tournament! If I were other smashers....I would be scared/upping my game because Fatality is coming. And he's ready.

Dumb question but how do you chase them with nairs and not accidentally do a fair?
Tyler Sheehan let go of the control stick slightly before jumping. It's pretty precise.
Same problem here..training my man,training..
You can also buffer a stick flick right before landing, so doing that and pressing y+a at the right time.

how to i get in with nair one without being predictable? it seems like everytime i try to land it, it gets shielded
I dont know about captain falcon, but try mixing it up with tomohawk grabs. that is when you shorthop like you plan to fast fall nair one, but instead of nairing you hit the ground and grab them while they're shielded
Just keep training in elite smash man you'll understand by yourself hehe

i was able to combo his raptor boost into his command grab up b. so it combos pretty well, just need timing for most things

So I'm like NEW NEW to smash and I know it's probably a very noob problem to have but I'm having a hard time doing nair 1 into regular nair. I always end up doing nair 1 into fair. Is this just a matter of practice? because it feels mechanically hard as of right now. Thanks for all the falcon uploads! I want to main him because hes so stylish Haha

raptor boost to falcon punch has worked for me way more than it should have. So many people air dodge down or behind me or use a down air, like stall and fall ones or if they have a counter, they mash that. But you have to keep it for a hype finish as if they get caught by it once, chances are they wont fall for it a second time in the same match.
I’ve been trying to main characters that are fun and I can get good at. And captain falcon is a perfect fit for those type of characters. I didn’t start watching you until recently but I love your channel. Now I main captain falcon, pikachu, and Luigi
When I play falcon I can't ever land Nair 1 how can I easily land it
It's a bit difficult and takes time. If you've already mastered executing it whenever you want, I recommend playing a few online matches with the single goal of getting nair 1's to connect. Do this for a few days and you'll start to pick up on when you can use it. Often times, you can be fairly close to your opponent, short hopping over their attack and as they whiff you pull out the nair 1.

It’s a RAR back air. Look it up and practice it a little bit and you’ll get it down

Bro you can confirm the end of fast fall soft knee into djump dair as an edge guard option. I'm not sure if it matters whether or not it's online but I do it all the time and it's dirty.

I really wish I was good enough to even know to you do the shit you do. I know now how far I have to go to actually be good.
I see that when you do back-airs offstage, your oppenents can escape that chain but if you do up-air and it hits in the back, you can up-b them to style

Hey Fatality, do you have any plans to make a video dedicated to attack cancel Bair and incorporating it into combos? I've been labbing the input for a while but I can't quite seem to get the timing down at full speed, and whenever I practice in one direction it always throws off my muscle memory in the opposite direction

this is something i see all the time but don't quite understand some basics (I can't play very much and i'm not that good), but how do you nair consistently while still moving in directions? most times when i try to nair while moving in a direction or trying to keep momentum, i end up doing a fair, or back air

Tilt stick especially since he is a tilt/aerial heavy character. Only characters like Snake or Olimar need smash stick to be more effective because their neutral game evolves around smash attacks.
Tilt because his smash attacks are essentially useless at high levels
GameSupport well, they can be good just very situational. If you shark w upsmash, it’s rare but sometimes you get something, especially w an airdodge read

I want to main falcon so bad but I really suck at nair into nair into nair I can barely fast fall but I’m determined to make him my main he’s my kind of battle style so I’ll do my best to learn him as good as possible and one day maybe we can face off

im trying my best to learn captain falcon but damn im so bad. a majority of my attacks never hit and i can never do combos properly. even in the training mode when the bot just stands there. I plan out my attacks and know how his moves work but i somehow always mess it up. my own lack of skill is so annoying.
