One thing to be wary of, is it'll do the gentleman on shield too, which can be disastrous and cost you a stock. I recommend just doing double tab and reacting to be honest, I would much rather risk missing a gentleman on hit than take a much higher risk of getting the gentleman on shield.

Had to get that "Understandable" merch. Been a fan since the old days of smash. Keep up the good work. I'm going back to my roots as a falcon main in this time of quarantine
This is such a great guide, it cleared up my confusion about precisely how to optimally apply each of Falcon's tools in neutral. Thank you for putting in the effort to make it!
you’re going to remember the day some 30 year old man released a guide on how to play a character from a party game for the rest of your life? jesus christ man
@@mycoinsyourpurse2244 he's known to be a hype monster obv he wasn't built to be a spiker, more like a brutal smash character with the slower but more epic moves you can pull off with him.
@fatalityfalcon, THANK YOU FOR THIS AWESOME BIRTHDAY PRESENT! Keep up the great content my man. Can’t wait to see you tear it up at some in person tournaments once this pandemic is over. Stay safe and strong my friend
Thank you for putting so much work into these guides, I haven't watched one from you yet where I haven't been able to pick up something new to work on. Improves my game overall, not just with falcon.
This was a well put together guide. I've questioned the effectiveness of being more aggressive with Falcon, or playing a more bait and punish style, so this is very helpful as far as his neutral goes. Thanks for the video!
This is a great guide and I would recommend this as a template of how a guide should be made and/or how someone should think of their options to build a gameplan. I'm not a Falcon main, but this definitely helped me with thought process in game.
This was a great guide. Thank you Fatality. I was a smash 4 Falcon main and could not get used to the new playstyle. it seems like they changed his aerials just enough to confuse the hell outta me. Also Rip Smash 4 dash grab....
Hi Griffin, I doubt you will see this but I want to say it regardless :) Thank you so much for this whole video! I will absolutely get some merch! I need a new hat (old one's a stretch fit and it became loose after I lent it to my friend) and I've never owned a coffee mug before so this will be my very first one! Much like Smash Ultimate, which is the first Smash game I've ever owned. And you are the main reason I got the game and play it all the time lol Keep up the good work Griffin, I look forward to all of your UA-cam content! I wish I could be there more often during your streams but unfortunately I lack the time as I am working full time (yes, even during the virus situation, because I'm a manager at a food chain) Lots of love from Canada, -Justin
I like down tilt a lot in neutral. It has a little longer of a hitbox compared to forward tilt and jab. You also get a good launch to dash grab off. It has a rather fast start up as well, which makes it a good option when empty hopping on someone
Falcon Kick I would say can be used a lot like a slightly weaker Raptor Boost in Smash 4. Even the whole pull back at the ledge thing is similar in function
Although not really applying to neutral, something I thought I'd note that I'm not sure if people do / if it's good / whatever; I usually like to use raptor boost as a combo extender at early-mid percents. Like, I'll use it to push my aggression after a hit where I can't land a true combo after it, because they might react to me approaching with a falling aerial or something to try to cover themselves and punish me, and then they'll get hit by it and then I'll get an even longer combo off of it. (The superarmor is 100% why I can use it like this.)
I've seen a few situations where I've baited a getup attack from ledge with good spacing and punished the option with dtilt. It can kill at higher percents. That's all dtilt seems to be good for
i will never stop using up tilt in neutral as a bread-and-butter combo starter at low %. It may not be true but it stuns them and serves them right up in front of you like a volleyball and follows up really well into nair, dair, or can even chain in a really infuriating way at like 30%ish? It's honestly one of my favourite neutral moves. Also down tilt is really good at ledge, it kicks them out just over the ledge and is really easy for setting up dair kills. I also like throwing it into my ground combos because it drops his hurtbox and dodges many jabs and tilts. Everyone loves falcon's aerials but nobody talks about how well his tilts combo into each other or how good he is at standing his ground with them. ALSO Raptor boost combos into up b and nobody talks about it? It's a good 'get off me' and i tend to pull it out when I'm having trouble comboing an opponent as an easy way to chip away at their %. It'll send them above you and almost guarantees to put you at advantage.
Hey man, solid and technical advice here. Love the depth of this guide. If I may mention one thing, have you looked into a teleprompter of some kind? It may be helpful when reading scripts.
Not sure if you're ever gonna read this fatality but you're prolly my favorite smashtuber and are the reason why I main falcon, I'd love to do a best 2 outta 3 with you or sumthin lol, love ya man, get some dubs and continue bein amazing, I'm definitely gonna pick up a hoodie soon! Bro your honestly a genius, and a God considering your fluent with falcon, a decent character, idk but if you can, are you able to play as pacman or link even more often, because I know your really good, you would maybe be better with a better character and probably would shed some light on these characters too, these characters are alittle underrated and arent talked about too often, ya other than these too, the underrated are Mac and Marth, maybe grenninja
Quite a few typos in this one, maybe could have used a couple extra editing passes? Also would have been nice to see some live fight example clips to visually demonstrate the concepts you were talking about with each character archetype. It’s great that the guide is finally here, though! c:

So, jab 1 into holding A is an option select. Nice.
Quite literally 1.5 A press. I didn't know about that. So you can transition to dash or jump while holding A, I guess
One thing to be wary of, is it'll do the gentleman on shield too, which can be disastrous and cost you a stock. I recommend just doing double tab and reacting to be honest, I would much rather risk missing a gentleman on hit than take a much higher risk of getting the gentleman on shield.

Played this in 1.25x speed , fatality is very deliberate with his words
Love the F-Zero backgrounds and music. Great guide
It has come! The Neutral Guide is finally here!
Step 1: accept the inevitability that you will have to spend hours learning movement tech to fix this flawed character
Step 2: ????
Step 3: Profit.
Step 2: knee.
Although knee seems like a step 2 the answer was obvious - Step 2: show ‘em your moves
