Woohoo go you guys! Very nicely done and what a privilege to see Dream Catcher sailing in convoy :-) Hope to catch you guys for the second visit to Lady M 😘
Really loving your honest travels, xx however please keep going loving lady muskrat, and giving me hope for new adventures again. You guys are rocking it xx
Hey legends!!! John saw you guys across from us and we were going to come around in the arvo and say hi but you guys had left by then 😔😔 absolutely, would love to catch up! Send us a message on Insta and we’ll make it happen 🙌
My 2 favorite UA-camr's.... can't wait to watch your episodes each week. So good to meet you Kristina and sorry I just missed Slim and Soph as well! We're staying in the Coral Sea Marina so see you on the water 🏝️⛵☺️
Great video - enjoy watching. A few tips - I always leave my instruments on when I anchor - very helpful particularly in the middle of the night when winds get up. I put a waypoint in as I drop the anchor then ‘go to’ that waypoint and display that waypoint distance on my chart plotter. That way you can tell very quickly if you are dragging. Another gadget that’s very handy on a boat - particularly when anchoring is a ‘range finder’. They are used lots in golf & hunting and give you a pretty accurate distance to other objects - like the shoreline or other boats. They are a couple of hundred bucks.
Goodmorning you guys & wow you are up in Bundaberg & what a great place that is. Its not far from Bundaberg where the turtles come into lay their eggs but not sure of the season. My wife & I were there at the wrong time of the year but at ;east we did walk along 'their' beach. Its great to watch your progress & to enjoy you editing skills Kristina. Great videos, great content & just keep them coming. Cheers.
First off I must say...your videos are top notch, entertaining and informative. And the quality is to be admired. Thank you again for sharing you journey. May your winds always be favorable and your blessings be many. ⛵
Been really enjoying your adventure of course your a great story teller!!! Good job on challenging yourself with the main halyard, but I thought I would encourage you to find a way even a little fold up stool to keep at it! John’s all ready proved accidents happen and both of you being able to move and sail the boat competently I think is a major safety advantage!!! Great videos 👍👍
Guys!!! Loving this story unfolding. Loving the info, the learning, the scenery and man fanning on John...absolute Legend, which is annoying, I'm a South African, so it's not natural 🤣🤣 Fell in love with the idea of Sailing around the world and vlogging it, watching La Vagabonde, Expidition Evans, Sailing Nahoa, Sailing Millenial Falcon and Dylan Magaster. I'm about 2yrs out from starting out on my adventure, all of the lessons you guys are publishing are helping sooooo much. Hope to catch you guys out there at some point and pay it forward in thanks. Keep on rocking 😎 🇿🇦
Good video content; we enjoy seeing where you go when they are interesting places such as Lady Musgrave, Bundaberg and the great sandy straight. Good balance of content. Thankyou!
It's funny with the camera angles automatically assumed Kristina was rather tall! Great work with the halyards Kristina! Not so sure about jumping in after the hat having just shown a Croc warning sign though, perhaps I'm not that brave :-)! Love the "Extemely practical" & Embarassing bag!
Great video guys!! Being on the water close to shore is the greatest learning you both can get, keep it up!! I will say that knowing how to do things on your own with your height is critical... figure out the best way that works for you Kristina, safer for both of you! Really looking forward to the next couple of videos!!
Something you might want to consider. There are wagons that will hold 70 kilos or so and fold up into a very reasonable bundle. I'd recommend one with wide tires. They are the easiest to manage and pull around when used. They aren't terribly expensive either. BTW great thumbnail on the video. Kristen, you look down right like the classic Elvin waif.
Great video. I agree with a lot of comments below that Kristina really needs to learn to sale boat single handed. It is safety issue for both of you. There are ways of making things accessible. Bars can be installed on either side that can be stepped on or modified steps on mast. There are ways of making work. The boat was just was never set up for someone of the perfect height😁
nice fun video , its good to see you 2 are learning the ropes so to speak , all new comers to cruising make the same mistakes so you are in good company ahahah
Man you guys were hooked close to the shore.. 3:54! What is the draft of your floating home? Also this is undoubtedly one of the best belly flops. Directly transitioning into the dog padding maneuvef, I personally have ever had the honor of witnessing ! ..7:31.. Well done! Ha!
The eyebrow window, tape off the surrounding surface and grab a tube of butylmastic, clean the salt and surface with metho, wipe clean and bog the window up,will skim over hard but underside will be malleable and seal well.
You need a good pellet rifle I kept a Beeman air rifle on board just for the sea gulls because birds of a feather poop together and my spreaders’ are not for resting places for birds. Get a scope for the air-rifle so that you can pick where you are going to bring the pain, believe me they do talk to each other and the word will get out that your boat is not a good place to rest.
I guess then you will pass by townsville . Enjoying your videos .just remember summer dec - feb is the worst time to be on the tropics !! Hot humid cyclones ! It’s just beginning to warm up now . ( don’t want to rain in your parade ) do want you to be safe and comfortable !! Just take advice from those more experienced than me .. best wishes
Hi Kristina, Plastic storage, watching wild sailings another youtuber from WA - Showed they have a plastic bottle wide opening at the top, they push all plastic food wrappers, e.g noodle wrappers in and keep compressing and compressing until bottle can no longer fit anymore. Just though I'd let you know what others have shown they do..
I see other’s have written it aswell, but seriously Kristina, you need to know as much as John, if not more! You seriously can’t hurt yourself stepping off one step, it’s Crucial that you can reach everything safely and know what everything does, by working smarter than John, because you are responsible for his life, meaning you may need to practice “man overboard” and stop that boat, turn it around, and lift Johns weight aboard.. Minimum, next you may need to get him to hospital by sail!
Bahahahaha @ spider pig! Kristina I hope you took some medicinal chocolate for that boo boo, it fixes everything! lol What an awesome flotilla you had there when leaving. Every sailing YTber I have watched have all said the same thing about the sailing community. That is invaluable. The things you can learn from them and issues that pop up they can help you with or even just reassure you that when they started it was the same for them. Bundaberg is only 150 years!? My house is older than that! Great video though guys. Just look at all that serenity! Absolutely beautiful scenery. Now just one thing that really worried me. Kristina, you need to be so careful with your long hair and those winches. Because that footage for the next video was very disconcerting seeing how close your hair appeared to get to that winch had me wincing.
K'gari is a modern invention. It is not an "ancient aboriginal name" it is a fabrication because Fraser Island is named after a white person enslaved and brutally murdered on the island. This is rewriting history!
Excellent video Kristina! With respect, you need to learn to sail that boat solo in case John is incapacitated. Tough call but a good safety step.😊
I agree so if Kristina needs to do anything she already knows what to do and how to handle it.
Agreed 👍🏴☠️or cook.
100% I hope they read this comment!
Thanks Joseph and crew 🙌 100%, I’m learning everyday and getting better with every sail 🙂
@@KristinasTravels I agree with the above Plus you need to Dive, That Bellyflop off the boat cracked me up ! ✌️💜🎸
I did this trip in 2003, it makes me want to cry seeing all the places I visited.
Hello, everything in this video seem truly charming as always.
The elegance is indescribable
Just divinely gorgeous!!!🤩😂
Love the roller bag.

Woah, that last clip with the long hair near the winch 😳
Another great adventure and a great many more to come I am sure! Thanks for sharing Kristina!
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for your kind words Rodney - means a lot 🥰 Have a fantastic week 🙌

How good is LMI!! Anchored there a couple of times. Didnt stay long enough! Great vid.
I don’t think there is such thing as long enough on LMI!! ☺️🙌❤️ I could just about live there 🤣

Good video guy's, like the drone views! Should've grabbed some Bundy liqueur, but I do like the Bundy soft drinks, ginger beer and lemon 😀
ginger beer and Lemmon is 🔥🔥
Another great episode this week 👍

Well done! Ha!
Our draft is 2.2m
Hahaha 😝 I know.. I know... I really need to practice my breaststroke! 🤣🙌
Kristina, watch your long hair around ropes and winches. Great viewing as always! 😀
Actually this is really serious - especially the engine - if longhair gets caught on on something when it's running it can be horrendous.
got to try bundy creaming soda! very refreshing
Ohhh fantastic!!! :) Delicious!
The eyebrow window, tape off the surrounding surface and grab a tube of butylmastic, clean the salt and surface with metho, wipe clean and bog the window up,will skim over hard but underside will be malleable and seal well.
okay what's not expecting a good tip like this on the comments but thank you!
Nice video
Greeks know how to sail or cook. Not much else. 😂 your starting to reach paradise. Croc’s are getting closer. Remember to have fun!!!! 🙏🏻

Tie the halyard off to a spreader instead of clipping it to the boom if one of you can't reach it.
Dingo?Orange coloured boat?saw it in Newcastle harbour earlier this year.loved the paint work, nice.
You guys going to come up as far as cairns
Sure are! And beyond that too 🤫🤗😊

you got took on that window. 2 caulk tubs of that black sealant for $120 and you removing old as much as can then filling would have saved you a lot.
Great video guys. How did you manage to get insurance with as you mentioned, so few sailing hours under your belts?
The window is bulletproof it won’t brake.
Fun fact,it has been alleged that Fraser Island sand comes from Stockton beach in NSW.
wait whaaa...?
👍👍👍👍👍
You got a power winch but that long hair dangling down seems frightening!
👍😊🇦🇺
What a delightful video Kristina is very charming I can see why she would make a good broadcaster, plus she is very attractive.
Dude just use a milk or juice bottle to stuff the plastic wraps in,use a broom handle stick.
Bahahahaha, that’s not rum!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆
