I'm so happy Mark is happy. You know how they say you have to hurt to play the blues? This man knows hurt. First time I saw him he had a black eye on Letterman.
"Love Hurts" written by Gram and Emmylou, made famous by Nazareth, was one of the first songs he remembers? Oh my. I miss him so. Long Live The Night Porter.
"What was the first...", "What was the first...", "What was the first...", "What was the first...", "What was the first...", "What was the first...", "What was the first...", "What was the first...", "What was the first...", "What was the first...", "What was the first...", "What was the first...",
That's so cool that Mark's first music memory was "Love Hurts" by Nazareth! That was one of the first albums I listened to too, when I was the same age as he was. Really cool interview on the whole.
When i saw that one of the first songs that struck him was Nazareth's "Love Hurts," i was thrilled. I have wailed that song at karaoke! I wonder if he's ever recorded a version.
James Marshall saw him the following night in Belfast, him and the band were great, sadly the sound quality of the venue (Limelight) was shockingly poor.
The interviewer is just not good, sorry but you get a guy like this to talk and its the same dumb mind numbering questions. You can see the look on Mark's face just like ok, its a shame. People need to come into these with better questions and not waste the artist time on crap.
Hard to imagine he's not going to fill the room with his powerful voice and music anymore. RIP, Mark Lanegan
That is what I'm struggling with 🥺
He seems so happy these days. I met him last week, it was the highlight of my life.
It's almost as if you can feel his presence through the screen. Also, love how at ease he seems here.

Oh yeah.. he talks about that in his book. Great book!

He seems like such a chill dude.
I like his words and the way he recalls his past. Very sweet. No wonder his songs are so beautiful, in their own peculiar way.

God I love his voice - speaking and singing. This to me is the voice of an angel. 🙂
Rest easy, Mark.
His voice is so deep!
Yes I met him in early May and it was one of the highlights of my life- to meet the man who has written SO many songs I can identify with.
He is beautiful and ever so talented! Thanks for the interview 🥰

Only recently getting into his music, I love it. There's not a lot of music that can make me feel so much emotion when I'm listening to it.
Same. Although I’ve been a causal fan for 30 years I’ve only recently got into his solo work.
Rest in paradise good sir rest in paradise 🙏💜
Very, very charismatic. Down to earth. 🤍
