I realize that this is an old video, but I love the short line switching so, so much. Definitely my favorite kind of the videos that you do. Thank you!
That L&I train looks awesome at night w the light reflecting off of it. The industrial area was definitely a cool place to catch it especially when it picked up the 2 boxcars at the end of the line.
THANK YOU JAW TOOTH! What a SWEET treat!!! Quite the surprise to me when I saw an old Lake Erie, Franklin, and Clarion boxcar on this video! Really enjoy the results of your efforts, for a multitude of reasons. - Sincerely, Your Western Pennsylvania neighbor, Trainman2k
Very cool hearing the scanner. Ive never heard of Louisville and Indiana. Now the old L&N is what runs in my yard, I used to see old L&N trains but no more
Another great discovery by our Intrepid Explorer, finding another previously nearly anonymous short line. How does he do it? Persistence, Son, persistence. And an excellent nose for railfanning. Other railfans would have thought it enough just to show the locomotive. Not Jaw Tooth. He gives us the story behind the pictures. That’s why he’s the best. No contest.
I haven't heard a hot box detector like that for a while. Fascinating piece of technology, really. We used to listen in when chasing trains in Three Bridges, NJ., on the scanner. "Three hundred, twelve axles, no defects..." How in the world they detect a problem on a particular axle on a freight going 60mph just floors me. But then again, maybe I'm just easily amused/perplexed....lol 😎🇺🇸
Very cool to be able to see this. Dedicated rail fans like you, Jaw Tooth, that catch actual train work is a God send for those of us who generally can’t see things like this. Thanks so much!
Worth the wait for sure!! Those are good looking loco's. Nice close up action again Mr. Jaw Tooth. You've been having some great luck getting into position lately and that is cool! Thanks.
Cool Louisville and Indiana locomotives Jaw Tooth! I liked them yellow gravel cars to. Another very interesting video Jaw Tooth! You are really terrific at making these cool train videos! 4 sure!
These locomotives look and sound brilliant, great to see all this work getting done on this railroad, it's good to see it so busy. Thank you for bringing us this fantastic video Jawtooth.
There is a really cool building in Mobile, AL called the Author Outlaw Building in which a train goes through the building. It's quite cool in my opinion. Plus you can stand on the steps n look down at the train going by. It's so cool.
@@JawTooth yes sir it is. I love it been there a few times n got to see trains go through it. Stood so close to a passing train that I could reach out n touch it or one time got to stand on the stairs n look down into the multiple coal cars. Was soooo cool!
Hello again from the UK. Really interesting video. Just when I have got used to seeing US trains street running we move on to the next level and see a train going into a building. A lot of US specific terminology here too, for example switching and switches. In the UK we call them 'points'. Watching the work at the end of the line is far more interesting than just watching the trains running along a main line.
Good made nice video, mr Jaw Tooth. The last locomotive (3001) from Louisville & Indiana is awesome with the American flag. Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
Hey Jawtooth, that spur once went all the way to Madison Indiana. If you look on Google earth you'll see it ends on the south end of Columbus today, but the remnant right of way is visible down to North Vernon. There is still an abandoned cantilever bridge at the end of this spur, but no tracks on it. LIRC did build an additional siding going up to that bridge for storage I assume. That job on that side of town is busy everyday as they serve the metal yard, cardboard factory, and the plastic furniture company.
Now those are some smart looking locos. CCET has the most clapped out looking locos in the RR industry. If they ever do a remake of The Fugitive, CCET"s rolling stock would be perfect.
Jaw tooth I wish I could meet you we got lots of trains here in Missouri your my favorite UA-cam channel I can't stop watching your videos bud keep up the good work 🙂👍🤟❤
Another visually appealing Jaw Tooth production; a JT masterpiece! L&I keeps their engines running real smooth and the color scheme is dazzling. it's beyond cool...it's cold.
Jaw tooth hauling ass men columbus indiana here comes the train slowly getting there two locomotives very long coal cars keep it coming new videos during the holidays bless you
Hammer those pedals Jaw Tooth, you’re finding great places and making superb videos, day and night. These short lines are fascinating. Almost none of them left in Little England make yours extra special.
@@JawTooth pleasure my friend, those trains are very awesome and those spots too. So continue to be a good railfan, to do awesome catches. See you soon.
HOW do you do it??? You’ve camped out, ridden bicycles, climbed stairs, driven everywhere, moved to where the action is, explain what the trains are doing & why. You’re very dedicated JT !! Thank you
Nice railroad, must have some money. Good looking track, good looking power. That’s a cool looking short line railroad. Thanks for showing us alittle of there world. Very Nice.
Awesome video! I work in Columbus and drive through that industrial park about once a week.... sometimes that train will catch you by surprise. Did you happen to go over to Elizabethtown to check out the remnants of the old railroad there?
A true rail fanner, JT will do what it takes to get the shot, and that includes riding a bicycle or camping out for a weekend. Nice little town of some 48,000 folks, especially showcased when you almost ran those two girls down on the bicycle/walking path. Just kidding.
Since you’re in Indiana I would recommend this. Down in the south west corner there is a major CSX line that goes from Evansville to Terre Haute. I assume it goes farther than Terre Haute but that’s all that I know of for that line. And I know it goes south into Kentucky across the Ohio. It is a little bit difficult to get back to that train bridge. But just north of Evansville in Princeton, it is joined by a Norfolk Southern line that goes all the way to Louisville. That line goes right past my college which is about 10 minutes away East from Princeton
This is the reminder of a once great rail road the PRR same colors and insignia yet another name, Sigh* They are at least maintaining their locos and track very well
I don't do that very often because not many people want to see dark videos. I spent 3 days at Natural Tunnel, Virginia and only 2 trains went by and both were in the dark. I don't know if I will post that or pitch it.
@@JawTooth the best part of what you do is you are devoted to your trade. I appreciate the time and effort you put in to it. Sometimes, you get really lucky, sometimes not I guess!
What a machine. You can hear the quiet power. While they purr, they roar quietly.

Columbus Indiana my hometown. I can tell you exactly who that you customers are. So amazing thank you John tooth thank you thank you thank you!
