Idk has marksman suggested his solution to the 1 shot sniper problem? Only thing I've heard was him saying it's easier to balance them on 100hp, but switching back to 100hp is not possible.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with one shot snipers as long as the shot is fairly high on the body. Snipers are meant to be like that but I can understand y it’s a problem.
I mean like the katt realistically in a real life situation anywhere about the waist at best you might live with half a body. Go watch what .50 caliber snipers do for damage.

Then all the OG devs left to do other things and were replaced by execs who made the focus to squeeze as much money as possible from micro transactions and the gameplay took a backseat.

I absolutely loved Advanced Warfare at the time it came out, it was new for its time and brought a lot of positives. I think you confusing Advanced Warfare, which is at least a 6/10 COD for the community with the trash Infinite Warfare. Infinite Warfare was by far the trashest Call of Duty ever made, that they had to bring out MWR in the same year. BTW I've been playing Call of Duty since Bo2 prime days, so 2012, so about 12 years now and Advanced Warfare in my opinion and many others is it wasn't a terrible game, there's definitely been way worse CODs.

My wife (who I met playing OG MW3), me, and my three regular teammates for over a decade quit COD around 6 months ago. Dont miss it. Like its not about pub stomping, we legit cant NOT use non meta guns if we want to have a chance. That coupled with sound whoring, camping, etc.....we finally said fuck it. AND THE SBMM.....like I can drop 30 in respawn, but Ill consistently get someone who has never played feeding the enemy team, going 2-17 Didnt think we'd leave, but it had to be done. I hope you can move on from this franchise, eventually

Love that they can ruin features like the tac cam by making it so you can access your teammates camera, and by making it so if you try to go back into the camera while you have another one ready it will constantly try to throw another camera. They can fuck that up, for no reason, but cant fix shit like the invisible gun glitches, or going under the map, or out of bounds area markers being wildly inaccurate.
I don't understand ur tac cam complaints. What's wrong with being able to see ur teammates tac cam too? Also I haven't seen the "unable to access tac cam without throwing a new one" glitch u are talking about.

i enjoyed infinite warfare. sad the game was plagued by hard to find lobbies because everyone went to mwr. but there was no excuse for IW to take months for basic features to get added

Having started playing cod in OG MW3... it's laughable that they say SBMM was the same. Like you say sometimes you were stomped on and other times you did the stomping... it felt way more authentic instead of feeling played by the game
The lack of customer service for a franchise this big is concerning and a little disgusting. My CoD account that I had since 2011 got hacked and subsequently banned and I've been trying to get my account back for 3 weeks to no avail. So currently that's my problem with cod :\
Happened to a friend of mine too. Account suddenly gone, a lot of wasted money and All he got was an autogenerated message from the AI support bot. They apparently can't do anything in this case. He still doesn't know what exactly happened to his account. If you contact them about spending money in any way they reply with an actual answer.
No, you did not have to use a point in black ops 2. You actually had to not select a weapon to have the knife available to you. I may be wrong, but that was added to BO3. You had to spend a point to get a knife in BO3.
9:23 If I recall, I don't think the bo2 combat knife cost a loadout point. It was just given to you if you didn't pick a weapon in primary or secondary slot. Knife in bo2 did kinda suck balls though, so it made sense

With the theater mode thing I'm pretty sure they've just over inflated the game to a point where they just don't care to try to implement it or the literally can't because they've made everything so complicated for no reason other than they felt like it. Activition gives no f**ks about their players and it's just become so blatant in the past few years that I've pretty much lost hope in anyone being able to make another good cod ever again. I've been playing cod since Black ops 1. I don't have 17 years into it but I have spent half my life playing these games and it sucks getting shit on by not only the greedy devs but people online who just make fun of people for wanting to play CoD. World at War was when I started and I’m so glad to have started back in that era of cod. So many good simple systems that made each of those games so good!

Funny thing is they fixed the knife problem on ranked multiplayer but not on regular pubs lmao they just want to protect the trash players instead of their loyal ones
They need to bring back the original prestige system, when it actually meant something. If they need to add a bonus for prestiging so be it, since I’m sure people wouldn’t want to restart from scratch. But that’s what made the prestige tokens such a valuable asset.
16 year COD player here and I completely agree with everything you say. Hell, I don’t even play cod anymore because I work all day and only have an hour or so to play on an evening, which makes it physically impossible to have fun with skill based match making. So frustrating!

Look, my biggest gripes so far are the UI and MW3 ranked. There is absolutely no weapon variation, because they took them all. And this most recent patch narrowed down it down even more. Moved over to WZ until they get their shit together.
Every good feature implemented in every cod should have been put in the follow-ups to make the ultimate call of duty. The combat record of bo1. The scorestreak system in bo2. The pick 10 system in bo2. The specialist system in mw3. There are many more I can name. But these people for some reason are more interested in going backwards.
on a small side note, i hope we get specialist back too. ive been around since BO2 SND elite days listening to marksmans in the mind and help commentaries (theres one on raid specifically thats ill never forget) series. good times, hope there will be another top3 cod game but we'll take what we can get until cod final digs its own grave.

funny enough the only way to have a knife in bo2 was to unselect a secondary as a whole, not to mention melee fights in that game were so stupid it didnt matter if you had a knife or not 😂. i remember side stepping people to get them to lunge off the map. great times
my biggest two gripes with this game atm shotguns are useless ( the mw2 wooden shotgun was nerfed to the ground for some reason ) the smg meta, its so boring that if you want a chance you have to use a smg

Straight flames Marksman! I have been playing Multiplayer in COD since BO2 and even went back to play the older ones as years went by (Cod 4, WaW, MW2 Ect.) Back then it just seemed like the Devs had more passion for the game and more consideration for their fanbase that came back every year to the franchise that we love. Although the OG games most certainly had their flaws, They were just more unique and fun to play whether it be by yourself or with friends. Now its all about the cash grabs instead of bettering the game off of the community's feedback. They just don't care about us anymore sadly... And unfortunately I'm seeing it happen to a lot games developed by AAA studios. Gaming as a whole has become more focused on whatever gives them the best analytics and microtransaction sales instead of making us happier and keeping player retention up. To me it doesn't make much sense... Push a great portion of your community away from the game makes them more money? I'll never understand that logic, And maybe I'm leaving out something in that equation but it must work in its current state I guess. The thing that pushes me away from the game personally is the AGONIZING SBMM and horrible team balancing that forces me to feel like I gotta run a full stack of good players all the time just to not lose 50% of the time or more. I don't think we'll ever see COD be more like what it used to back in the day and to be honest, I'm OK with that. Nothing stays the same forever, But that doesn't mean we cant make it something good moving forward.

Gilded or Forged meta weapon, max level no matter the season, never changing, never experimenting, always talking something crazy, just to not have a MW3 launch weapon leveled up. I personally find it confusing how some people play like that and enjoy it. I can't even stick with worse off guns and builds that I would use for fun for too long because it just gets boring. As a side note, I've genuinely taught some people in the hundreds on their levels on how to unlock conversion kits and what they do, and that they have to level up said weapon to apply it. Don't know if that's the fault of the player or UI. I'm really praying COD gets better, if this next Treyarch release is bad, astonished isn't even a strong enough word for it.
5:02 i tried this out back in the day when b03 had just came out. Created a new account for AW to try. It took me 10 tdm games of dying over and over again before i was able to drop constant nukes. It was so easy to abuse in AW, made me question all the gameplays i had seen in that game
Another point that doesn’t get across often is that back in the day studios only had 1-1.5yrs maybe even less to make a new title and their games came out good compared to the 3yr cycles that we are in now. Dogshit.

5:12 Marksman is right about the nuke after nuke, it's like today where all these "Pro / Meta Classes" everyone looks at are just people using overpowered guns in the most brain dead lobbies where no one can shoot someone that is moving faster than themselves unless they're camping.
Having started playing cod in OG MW3... it's laughable that they say SBMM was the same. Like you say sometimes you were stomped on and other times you did the stomping... it felt way more authentic instead of feeling played by the game

SBMM started to change around BO4 and even then, it was nowhere near as terrible as it is today...back in the day COD was actually good.

The lack of customer service for a franchise this big is concerning and a little disgusting. My CoD account that I had since 2011 got hacked and subsequently banned and I've been trying to get my account back for 3 weeks to no avail. So currently that's my problem with cod :\

No, you did not have to use a point in black ops 2. You actually had to not select a weapon to have the knife available to you. I may be wrong, but that was added to BO3. You had to spend a point to get a knife in BO3.

9:23 If I recall, I don't think the bo2 combat knife cost a loadout point. It was just given to you if you didn't pick a weapon in primary or secondary slot. Knife in bo2 did kinda suck balls though, so it made sense

With the theater mode thing I'm pretty sure they've just over inflated the game to a point where they just don't care to try to implement it or the literally can't because they've made everything so complicated for no reason other than they felt like it. Activition gives no f**ks about their players and it's just become so blatant in the past few years that I've pretty much lost hope in anyone being able to make another good cod ever again. I've been playing cod since Black ops 1. I don't have 17 years into it but I have spent half my life playing these games and it sucks getting shit on by not only the greedy devs but people online who just make fun of people for wanting to play CoD. I appreciate everything you've done over the years. Your dedication to a dying franchise is respectable as hell and we'll always be here for you if you decide to start a new chapter.

World at War was when I started and I’m so glad to have started back in that era of cod. So many good simple systems that made each of those games so good!
call of duty also used to have a phenomenal zombies mode which peaked for origins BO2 which was arguably better than multiplayer

Very rarely watch full videos on ur anymore heard how real and relatable this was at the start and decided to watch all the way through and it did NOT disappoint.
Remember games were for fun, you could use whatever you wanted and have fun with a game, now a days you have to put effort into playing tdm, campings everywhere, op guns, sweats. I miss fun gaming
Great vid. Been playing for years and before SBMM I enjoyed trying different guns and screwing with weird tricks on maps. I'm 36 now, and feel like I have to use the Meta because grinding new guns stopped being fun. (Probably also a skill issue) Really appreciate the work you put in and especially enjoy your pro breakdowns and thoughts on routes. Thanks!

They need to bring back the original prestige system, when it actually meant something. If they need to add a bonus for prestiging so be it, since I’m sure people wouldn’t want to restart from scratch. But that’s what made the prestige tokens such a valuable asset.
16 year COD player here and I completely agree with everything you say. Hell, I don’t even play cod anymore because I work all day and only have an hour or so to play on an evening, which makes it physically impossible to have fun with skill based match making. So frustrating!

The pick 10 system in bo2.
The specialist system in mw3.
There are many more I can name. But these people for some reason are more interested in going backwards.

Can confirm that when AW came out there was a noticeable difference in how matchmaking felt. I also remember it being a hot topic on UA-cam and Twitter as well so like….. is Activision just trying to gaslight us into thinking we are idiots?

Straight flames Marksman! I have been playing Multiplayer in COD since BO2 and even went back to play the older ones as years went by (Cod 4, WaW, MW2 Ect.) Back then it just seemed like the Devs had more passion for the game and more consideration for their fanbase that came back every year to the franchise that we love. Although the OG games most certainly had their flaws, They were just more unique and fun to play whether it be by yourself or with friends. Now its all about the cash grabs instead of bettering the game off of the community's feedback. They just don't care about us anymore sadly... And unfortunately I'm seeing it happen to a lot games developed by AAA studios. Gaming as a whole has become more focused on whatever gives them the best analytics and microtransaction sales instead of making us happier and keeping player retention up. To me it doesn't make much sense... Push a great portion of your community away from the game makes them more money? I'll never understand that logic, And maybe I'm leaving out something in that equation but it must work in its current state I guess. The thing that pushes me away from the game personally is the AGONIZING SBMM and horrible team balancing that forces me to feel like I gotta run a full stack of good players all the time just to not lose 50% of the time or more. I don't think we'll ever see COD be more like what it used to back in the day and to be honest, I'm OK with that. Nothing stays the same forever, But that doesn't mean we cant make it something good moving forward.

Streaming and esports really killed having fun in multiplayer games
14:31 I've encountered so many players like this myself. Gilded or Forged meta weapon, max level no matter the season, never changing, never experimenting, always talking something crazy, just to not have a MW3 launch weapon leveled up. I personally find it confusing how some people play like that and enjoy it. I can't even stick with worse off guns and builds that I would use for fun for too long because it just gets boring.
As a side note, I've genuinely taught some people in the hundreds on their levels on how to unlock conversion kits and what they do, and that they have to level up said weapon to apply it. Don't know if that's the fault of the player or UI.
I'm really praying COD gets better, if this next Treyarch release is bad, astonished isn't even a strong enough word for it.
5:02 i tried this out back in the day when b03 had just came out. Created a new account for AW to try. It took me 10 tdm games of dying over and over again before i was able to drop constant nukes. It was so easy to abuse in AW, made me question all the gameplays i had seen in that game
Another point that doesn’t get across often is that back in the day studios only had 1-1.5yrs maybe even less to make a new title and their games came out good compared to the 3yr cycles that we are in now. Dogshit.

Started at COD4 modern warfare when I was 9 years old, didn’t even get to the first prestige in this game. It’s been a lot of fun times but I’ve finally given up. Good luck with cod marksman I’ve been watching/ a fan since BO3

I think the knife didn’t count as a point in the pick 10 system, you didn’t need to choose a secondary and it would give you the knife

Matchmaking was PERFECTLY FINE without SBMM. There was always a good player, a few average players, and a bad player or two on each team. A bell curve of skill
