This has become my favorite Vai song. The repeated motif with the variations just makes it something extra special. The vibe, the everything. Love this!
Sums up loads of vai songs imo, its nothing extra than the usual. Go listen to for the love of god. His whole style is expanding upon the same "basic" idea throughout the song, allowing it to evolve
I was there. Front row. Left side of stage. It was Awesome. I got high off of the music and was buzzed for days. Such a great vibe. The new album is killer. I went out and bought every Steve Vai cd i could find afterwards. Live is the Best. He has matured in a great way as a player. Seems like a deep thinker. We were born in the same year. The drummer and bass player have stellar chops and stamina. Great Video. New subscriber. Thanks.
I’ve been living under a rock because I just heard this song a few days ago for the first time. He’s so crazy man. What a great tune. I want that guitar so bad.
I ordered a semi hollow custom built guitar (not an Ibanez) and I am so glad I did. I love this tone, I think its more full and interesting than the usual JEM.
"Prince" sounds crazy good, all stuffed full of foam. That Ibanez is really underrated, I would say it sings sweeter than an ES-335. I want one now, although THAT ONE, is truly one of a kind and not for sale.
Well, this one is an Ibanez semi hollow body it has a very full body tone like most hollow bodies and they love to sing and sustain. So, they packed this one with foam so it won't feed back. The paint job is custom and can't ever be recreated. On the studio track they used a Gretch, but I have to say, I like this Ibanez better. The Gem has a totally different sonic structure and resonance profile. This thing just wants to sustain for days with high gain saturation.

What an amazing song
New Vai signature model??? 🎸 😮
No it's a John Scofield signature model, painted by an artist for Vai.

I much prefer this over 13 thousand notes per second. This has so much more soul and meaning for me.
Just sayin ❤❤
The a John Scofield signature Ibanez.

John Scofield Signature - "slightly modded" paint job.
@@matsjonsson9492 I love the model. That custom paint job is insane however.
