Hi Abbey! Happy New Year. This video is so timely. As we start a new year, new opportunities may arise. Great information and love your energy. I have one question about how would address the issue of business continuity when there is an outage such as power or internet or during a storm.
This is a great question! Each business owner should have a plan in place that works well for them and their circumstances. The most important key is to make sure it is communicated well to the client before ever needing to implement the plan so that a client will know what to expect if it does happen.
Hi, great video, could I ask what you would recommend as a minimum package per month or per week for clients? I know you mentioned 10 hours a month as an example but that puts more pressure on trying to get more clients if it’s as low as that, tips would be really appreciated
Hi there, great question! We say a minimum of 10 hours per month for that exact reason. Anything less just doesn't make sense for anyone. That said, you get to choose what works best for you and your business. That might be 10, 20 and 40 hour per month packages or it might be 20, 30 and 40 hours. You might trying it one way and change your mind after. So many possibilities! You got this!
There are definitely VAs out there who specialize in platforms like Etsy and Shopify! We have a Shopify course inside our SavvyVault membership for anyone who would like to learn. www.thesavvyvault.com

One of the best things about starting a VA business is that you can do it from anywhere in the world and in any language! Depending on the services you offer and the clients you'd like to work with there may be cases where strong fluency in English is required but it's unfair to say that that would always be the case.
@@thevirtualsavvy that's true, but I was saying something else - there are multiple varieties of English, but the ones that tend to be the pest rewarded (in terms of payment) are those from First World countries. I know linguists with PhDs who don't get fair work opportunities simply because they were born in "non-English speaking" countries. This isn't to criticise you as an individual but to remind us that in language-related work, people have very strong biases that one can't always defeat with hard work or resilience:/

Hiring subcontractors is quite common in Virtual Assistance and other freelancing industries.
I've got this on my giant Bluetooth speaker and I can hardly hear it, is anyone else getting this>?
No issues with volume on our end. Have you checked the volume slider on the video player itself?
