The problem is that anyone with a built account has literally 0 reason to use him over better alternatives (there are many) and he's not a good investment for new accounts either. Blacknight and Beanstalk still fill a somewhat unique niche but the fact that Vigil's specialty is "I do damage" means that he competes with many other meta operators.

I guess I can see the appeal of it being constant DPS, but in that area I think La Pluma which can hit 2 dispensers is still better than Vigil puppies, assuming they can hit the dispenser.

This video is basically what I expected: Endless praise of Vigil. I already got him to E2 for my lupoknights squad but haven't mastered his skills yet (too busy with Texas alter and Penance masteries) but my goal is to S3M3 him later. He is the second available vanguard for lupoknights squad so in my case he works well enough. And yes, I also have max pot E2 Quartz in the same squad too. I'm well aware what kind of reputation Vigil has but he is still better than nothing when there are only 12 lupo operators available.
Use a bard op (Skalter, Sora or Heidi) to help healing the wolfo Especially with Skalter S2 for the constant heal and ATK/DEF buff Heidi S2 is very useful to raise the wolf block count and tankiness

Unironically, thank you. I did want to understand him better because I do think he's a pretty lad and was having a little fun with him but I'm not the kind that really understands what I'm doing fully when playing arknights.
What I think shouldn't be undervalued about vigil is that he's a vanguard that can be placed on Ranged tiles which is great for the vanguard bonus in the SSS missions, so he gives the expensive spellcaster bonus to units summoned on top of him for a cheaper price. I'll be using him for those missions alongside Beanstalk. Meaning you have more means of getting the spellcaster bonus thanks to Beanstalk and vigil,
I wish for the module to make the summon redeployed for 25s cooldown instead of killing it. It would make skill3 so much more playable than redeploy vigil.

Theres nothing to abuse. It's 2 DP every 5 seconds and a crab tank costs 10 dp to stsrt with. Cantabile or Puzzle actually abuse it.
