I personally enjoy narration journaling, but I don't per say narrate every single day, but focus on things I like or had my attention. I do like the aspect of collecting things throughout the week and then sticking them in the journal, so I might try that with my next journal, or journal entry.

I've recently started journaling, and I am loving it so much. It has been hard for me to get more creative, but it has been so beneficial for me! This video was so helpful, and gave me so many ideas for my own journal. Thank you, thank you!!🌹📚

Tess Avery Books that’s so awesome! I try to journal as much as I can; it’s my own safe space for me. It’s also a way I can be creative too:)

My journalling style is same as yours. I just stick my thoughts and anything just to pour out my creativity and my experiences, ideas for the day.

I don't journal every day, sometimes I will stack up things that happened and write about them in one go, but it doesn't really capture what I was thinking or feeling so I will try doing it every day. What I found to be very good for me is having a little drawing about every thing, when I flip the pages the drawings tell me very quickly about what happened or what I was feeling over a period of time. I even have a drawing of you when I started watching your UA-cam videos.

Oh i loved this video! I started a bullet journal 2 years ago but before that and still to this day I've been trying to find a way to make it more fluid and to allow myself to insert more creative and emotional thoughts and i really admire how you are able to work without the structure and i think i might incorporate into my journal!

I always used to write in journals when I went to visit my best friend when I was a kid, and it was SO MUCH FUN, but I haven't really tried it since. I really do love writing, and this video really has motivated me to start up again!! Thank you for sharing your process! :D

I loved this video so much. I was just wondering if you could ever make a video of how you journal for your Bible! I understand if not! I have recently started journaling (mostly just stream of conciseness and a few poems and letters I'll never send) and I was so happy I found this video from you. You really are so inspiring and genuine and I am thankful for your channel !! Thank you for all the videos you make for your viewers.:)

Hi emma, sorry if there are a TON of mistakes in here. I am german and english is only my second language.
I always tried to keep journals. I tested out so many different methods and styles over the years (bujos, scrapbooks, different journals for different topics and many others) but nothing ever worked. Mainly because i am a complete perfectionist and my sense for perfection and beauty made me overthink every dot of ink and every drop of glue i put in them. I tried to get advice from other perfectionists but always felt really let down when they said that they dont keep their journal perfect and then presented shiny, structured, beautiful pages.
Getting into your video, i thought that it would only be another chance to listen to your calming voice, getting to know your amazing character but in the end not really getting anything out of it for my journaling process. I dont mean this in a rude or insulting way. You inspire me and i can identify with a majority of the things you say ( i am an infj, too btw :D or an infp... i dont really know yet). To get to the point: i was surprised and got a lot out of this! You showed me, that there really is way for me to write down my thoughts without them having to have that beautifully structured presentation.
I always felt very sceptical about... just writing... without all the things around it. Without my notes having a complete order and structure. I think i simply needed proof that this “exists“ for people who i identify with.
I will try this out very soon and am full of optimism :)
I dont know if you did this already but i would love to see your other journals and the differences between them.
    Thank you so much.
    Love, Malva

i totally relate to you about the perfectionism thing. i think sometimes us perfectionists need a space where we can just be creative and be ourselves without worrying about making mistakes. i hope you end up keeping a journal that you will love :))

Great video! I really think it's nice to know that not everyone's journal is that perfectly artistic stuff you see on pinterest or ig 😁 And the close-up on the page in your journal that says Dear Emma,... is everything ❤ So beautiful and so true 😊

I love that you are not an insane perfectionist like me. That's one reason I can no longer keep written journals. I used to hand-journal since I was a teenager. Since the internet, I have kept an online journal for more than 10 years. I find I can no longer write fast enough to keep up with my thoughts. But I wish I could, because I love handwritten journals. My sister and I were commenting that we wish we'd kept so many ticket stubs through the years to remember shows /concerts. And also because with internet/phone purchases, paper tickets/stubs are becoming a thing of the past.

Loved this video. I'm not a fan of bullet journaling either. I tried it but my perfectionism wouldn't allow me to enjoy it. Your idea to leave blank spaces and fill in later makes a lot of sense. Also would love to also see how you Bible Journal.
