Lovely, lively tour Chris! Looking forward to next one. Love the contrasts, and really enjoy the historical factoids you throw in so smoothly. Keep it going..
Congratulations on a great first video. A very interesting and passionate tour with a great depth of knowledge and nice graphics. What makes this special is "As an Architect" and long time Londoner, Chris has a unique insight into London Architecture. I am looking forward to seeing many more videos!
A very worthwhile watch, especially as I live in London. I will keep it in my archives for my next overseas or out of London guests and impress them with many very original pieces of information and funny anecdotes thanks to you Chris and an excellent partnership between presenter and camera man Jack! Many thanks Cate Summers
Fascinating and entertaining programme with a unique insight into London’s past and present architectural sights. Looking forward to seeing more from your channel!
Hi Chris just to say another superb video...I lived in the city for 4 years just off bishopsgate across from Liverpool Street station... Christopher Wren is one of fravs.. I so miss St Paul's and his other churches and the Architecture in general....Thanks for the memories 😊....
Really enjoyed the content which is unfortunately let down by soft audio when speaking but then loud jarring music inbetween sections. Will watch another in the hope that this improves as very interesting and informative.
I do not understand why on minute 6:15 is said that there was a plot from catholics. When Christopher Wren got benefited re building the churches to the plain protestant style, letting everyone think that there was no catholics in the city. In addition, they offer to Wren to be on top of Monument and he did not accept because people would think that was him who started the fire.
Just one of the many theories was that it was a Catholic plot. I think the rumours just reflected the general paranoia about Catholism at the time. Remember it was only 100 years previously that the reformation took place and England broke away from Rome.
All Hallows. John Quincy Adams the 6th USA president was married in the church.
Amazing architecture in London
Brings back lots of memories! Thanks for a great class. Miss London so much!
