It's always surprising how walkable London is, and so many interesting historical references, if one "nose" where to look.

A lovely walk through where my paternal ancestors worked on 19th. Cent silk looms ….sensitive and lively descriptions, and another fan of Hawksmoor ( the architect). Thank you very much.

I somehow misunderstood and never looked it up or learned more till now - I thought the little man on the top of the column at Trafalgar was Napoleon and the idea was to make fun of him being a tiny man who thought he was so big! lol

And now I've got to the part about Napoleon's nose so I guess they did find a way to make fun of him after all!! love it

Great tour Chris! But what a horrendous ugly sight is Docklands from the observatory viewpoint I have to say, (in my personal opinion). And poor St. Paul’s cathedral very nearly obliterated. (At least in another of your videos I see there’s a wonderful uninterrupted view of it from the Millennium bridge!)

The fresco that appears on the bottom of Nelson’s column was made from melted down captured guns of French ships. I thought the nose installation was not to do with Napoleon but an art installation by Rick Buckley 1997. The thirty five noses attached to buildings such as the National Gallery and Tate modern. Eleven still exist. It was a protest against CCTV installations throughout London. He installed noses under the cameras. Henry 111 was crowned at Gloucester cathedral aged 9.

Best tour yet. I really love your knowledge of the buildings and the history behind them. You add some fun facts like Admiral Nelson's body being transported back in a barrel of rum. I will definitely look forward to future videos. I agree, Battersea would be interesting. I'm also called Chris.
