Thank you so much for posting this video! I was able to replace the bulb myself and save $70 by not having to make a trip to my mechanic! Thank you, thank you!
Thank you very much for the video! Your great close-up shots combined with the instructions on the lexusowners forum helped me figure out how to detach the U-shaped clips and change the driver's side bulb on my LS430!
Excellent video, the closeups really helped. My retainer clips were bent, so they didn't want to lock the bulb into place. I just needed to bend them in and it worked fine. Thanks again!
Actually I prefer changing both to maintain equal brightness/colour. I did by removing few screws on the inner wheel well plastics. From there also you can access. The process remains the same.
Hi I'm wondering if you know how to adjust the headlight aim left and right? After I change my bulb the main focus is to the far right on the passenger side that you did as well. Thanks in advance!
hey i have an 01 ls430 w halogen headlight housing and it says low beam size is hid d2r (only difference is 04-06 is d2s) but is it compatible without the hid conversion kit?
The drivers side is more of a pain in the ass. You have to separate the bumper from the car to get to a bolt to loosen the headlight assembly from header.
No you don't, all you have to do is un-bolt the fuse box directly behind the bulb, I think it's 2 or 3 bolts, and lift it up slightly and move it to the left side. After that you will have access to the back of the headlight where the bulb is located.

Thank you...thank you soooo much. That looks so easily done. A mechanic told me that the modular or the whole light needs to be replace ($200-300).
OK could you show me how to change the bulb on the driver side
What’s the part # of the bulb you used?
I used a Wagner D2S
thanks dude this was actually really helpful
Hii, can we replace this with an LED bulb and if so what size would fit in?
What about the high beam
You may not see this, but do you use bulb grease at any point during this process?
I did not, if you have any suggestions I’m all ears :)
Can you do a video on changing driver side
Good idea I’ll likely do this in the future.

Did you have any issues twisting off the ballast?
I'm having trouble with my ballast not twisting off so I can replace the bulb.
Hi, sorry mine came off pretty easy…….righty tight lefty loosey 😊

Hi Alan, good question, unfortunately I’m not 100% sure. Might be worth contacting a Lexus dealership or an auto parts store to get bit more guidance.
Good video thank you
Thanks!
Thanks 😊
I have a 2003 LS how do you clean the vow body take everything apart
Sorry I’m not familiar with the vow body could you provide A bit more detail . Thanks
Cool thank you 🙏
Thank you from 2024
Another reason to change both light at the same time is so one won't be brighter than the other. It will be noticeable to on coming drivers.
Thanks appreciate the information
Love the content!
Thank you thank you thank you ❤️
THANK YOU!!!
I took the plug out while the car was on. Worst mistake ever, now i need a new ballast
Oh no, sorry to hear that.
hid bulbs should be replaced in pairs. 😒
I agree, I only had one bulb at the time this was completed. The other will be replaced soon.

you did not align the bulb correctly
Thanks for the comment. I’m definitely open to advice. Please expand.
How are you supposed to insert the bulb correctly?
