  • Hi there,
    Sponges have been following me since ASMRMagic uploaded her fabulous video called ''ASMR Sponge Mic!'' This video is simply flawless, and extremely relaxing. I like it very much. After watching it I was impressed and really wanted to make something similar for my viewers, but somehow I forgot about it until I stumbled across another wonderful video in which an actress Eva Longoria uses different items to make relaxing sounds. I really liked the sound of two sponges rubbed against each other, and it reminded me that I was going to make a video with sponges playing a major role.
    In case you were interested here are the videos I was inspired by:
    1. • ASMR Sponge Mic! Squis...
    2. • Actress Eva Longoria E...
    Don't forget to check out my bandcamp profile. There are lots of HQ downloadable audio tracks in many different formats such as MP3, FLAC, ALAC (Apple Lossless), AAC, or Ogg Vorbis.
    The microphones I use: binauralenthusiast.com/
    Now if you wish you can download your favorite soundtrack, and listen on your mobile phone or mp3 player whenever you want: deepoceanofsounds.bandcamp.com/
    Through the last few years I've been getting quite a lot of messages from people who wanted to start their own asmr channel but were not completely sure what equipement they should choose to make a video in which the sound would be noticeably good.
    So I decided to create a list of the most important devices you need in order to start making good sounding asmr videos:
    Recommended low-end audio recorders:
    1. ZOOM H1: amzn.to/20PVdQ3
    2.TASCAM DR-05 amzn.to/1KzNaCX
    Recorders with XLR inputs and low EIN noise:
    1. OLYMPUS LS-100: amzn.to/1paBvAE
    2. ROLAND R-26: amzn.to/1R9q7Sr
    Audio interfaces:
    TASCAM UH 7000: amzn.to/1R9qcFD
    PRESONUS AUDIOBOX: amzn.to/1paBSLM
    Microphones with 3.5 mm audio jack:
    1. BE-P1: binauralenthusiast.com/product...
    Condenser cardioid mics:
    1. RODE NT1: amzn.to/1QGSV1l

    I have tryphobia... but it is not triggered by sponges or slime, unless they have a skin tone coloration.. But it does get triggered by images of holes in flesh, and cheese. I had an awful dream of getting picked by a porcupine and looking down to my skin, only to see holes in my flesh... that's how it started

      thats not trypophobia really, its just common sense. those images are created to scare you. ive never met anyone who hasnt been disturbed by those pictures, trypophobic or not

    • @corporatecanine6030
      @corporatecanine6030 7 років тому

      Trypophobia is more the fear of unnatural holoes and in cases of natural holes, what could be inside of them. I would think that most people have a definite problem with termite holes in wood because it is a telltale sign of pests, such as, well, termites, and then other things such as spiders. Holes in a beehive can be unnerving for some people but I think its less than it is more; we know what inhabits beehives and their honeycombs so we have no need to fear the unknown in that situation, although we can still fear the bees themselves for obvious reasons. And finally sponges: I have no idea why people fear sponges. They have no negative qualities at all! In fact, they seem to me to be a wholly positive item: they're soft, squishy, and they help clean things. they can absorb liquids, and they can be used in many different ways. I don't get why people are afraid of something so harmless and useful. the fear of sponges relates to Trypophobia because it truly is an irrational fear, while the fear of beehives/honeycomb and holes in wood and other organic substances is just evolutionary common sense for most creatures on the planet. Why would I stick my hand anywhere near a hole that has the possibility of containing a funnel web spider or a black mamba snake? That's not irrational, thats smart.
      Oh yeah and those photoshopped images with the flower holes in peoples hands is just a dick move by people trying to freak us out. Plus it looks so unnatural that anyone would be afraid of it.

      CorporateCanine I dunno man, I don't think I have true trypophobia but sponges creep me out. They're animals with holes in them. And I'm meant to then take the dead carcass of the animal & run it all over my body! All coral is creepy, as are barnacles.
      But I still love the sounds & just don't think about the sponge!

    • @corporatecanine6030
      @corporatecanine6030 7 років тому

      It's no creepier than killing animals and storing their bodies in cold temperatures until we later thaw them out only to eat a small chunk of them at a time. Pretty much everything is creepy when you think of it that way. I guess some humans are just more used to the creepy things we do than others are.

    Can somebody explain trypophobia to me? I get that it's the fear of irregular patterns of holes/bumps/etc, but what do you actually feel when it's triggered? Like a real sudden fear/terror like when you see a spider, or a different sort of fear, or is it more like disgust? I don't have trypophobia and I'm curious as to what people feel when they see something like this sponge.

    • @LittleUni
      @LittleUni 7 років тому +1

      It seems to vary from person to person, depending on how easily you're triggered. With me, it's fear to the point where it makes me want to throw up. But I've noticed that most people just get mildly disgusted, it seems like very few people have it to the extent where the get scared.

    • @gojoubabee
      @gojoubabee 7 років тому

      +Little Uni Thank you :) I've been seeing comments about trypophobia all over UA-cam and never really understood it.

      Remus Lupin For me it's pure revulsion. As a kiddo I saw a frog that carried its eggs on its back then they all hatched out of its back. It's a deep stomach churning, primal horror. I won't touch or look at things like that & even avoid going in the ocean cuz I can't see if there are barnacles etc. But not run away & hide fear. :)
