    This scene is probably one of the funniest of all comedy movies. Too bad its cut when she steals the body. My favorite part is when Violet is running out of the hospital with the body and Doralee turns to Judy and says " Honey I think Violet has flipped out"

    In Brazil the title was translated as "Como Matar seu Chefe" - "How to kill your Boss". Most likely cuz by that time very few would know the meaning of 9 to 5. People here were working from 8 to 6. Love the movie!

    This is a pretty good movie. I just started watching it. I was only about 2 when it first came out. So, I don't remember it. I liked the way Jane Fonda was acting in the movie. Like she was kind of innocent and helpless in the movie. It's the opposite of the way I normally see her in movies or what have you.

    • @DavidGibson154
      @DavidGibson154  3 роки тому +3

      You definitely nailed it about Jane in this movie. I think the closest performance of hers in this period is Coming Home. Well, maybe the first part of The China Syndrome, though she grows more assertive as that film progresses. That film, and Julia and California Suite-- in both of which she was definitely edgy!-- are my favorites from her late 70's/1980 films, though-- I like her tense strength! In 9 to 5, it was Lily, battling the glass ceiling for women at that time, whom I adored.

      Hey-- I'm glad you like the second half of the scene. When I posted a year ago, I decided to tease the scene, and leave the most surprising part for people who actually watch the movie! My main point in posting was to show off Lily's comic timing in the first half of the scene. I've actually second-guessed since, and thought about posting a longer version, but until then I'm letting this one have its run--
