Not only every Tzimisce in the “New Clan”, any Sabbat that has learned Vicissitude(like the beauty surgeon Toreador-antitribu), anything that’s ever been affected by Vicissitude(like Szlachta and Vozhd), but also assumedly the entire Tremere clan since Tzimisce vitae was used to turn the clan founder into a vampire in the first place, unless the infection was somehow removed during the process, or possibly when Saulot was diablorized it cleansed the new Clan…) And now as of V5, the Tzimisce are officially part of the Anarchs as well as the Sabbat, and there’s a new bloodline of Vicissitude Toreadors in the Camarilla…
@@TheMapleTable Let me check my source again, but i think in the book of Blood magic (Rules for Mage/vampire setting) say that fairy blood induces madness and give 3 points of blood instead of 1 to any vampire in role game.
@@TheMapleTable It’s definitely not the case, however. Although there is precedent for Changeling blood creating a new bloodline when a Lasombra(?) experimented with the idea and created the alien Kiasyd Bloodline.
The Elder has always been a very ambivalent figure in my opinion. On the one hand, his thinking is completely alien and he is damn monstrous, even by Tzimisce standards. On the other hand, his desire to bring his condition to a new level is very interesting, and the amount of knowledge, experience and abilities that he gained in the course of his existence cannot but arouse curiosity. However, all this makes him one of the most dangerous Antediluvians, so it would be better if the next time someone tries to destroy him, he will still be asleep. Thanks as always for the amazing video about the progenitor of one of my favorite clans! It was very entertaining 👍
I have put in a call with the technocracy. Next time the eldest shows itself nukes and solar mirrors will be focused on it. It can't be much harder than killing Ravnos right ?
Favorite clan by far. They take Paths of Enlightenment to another level. You think transhumanism is wild, just read up on these folks' trans-vampirism: Exsanguists to Metamorphosists
That’s sort of what I don’t like them. They are so alien to me that I don’t really understand their point of view. Like with obisouly evil factions within world of darkness such as Pentex I can still understand why. But with the calm I’d can’t
@@robertoleary5470 I mean it's the whole point? other vampires are understandable on the surface level, but tzimisces are alien even by their standards, trans-transhuman basically.
- They are really awesome, wouldn't want to be embraced into their clan though. It seems like extreme torture is part of all neonates tutelage in that clan.
Fun fact about the Baali story. That's just one of the many separate versions of the tale. You could make a whole video just about the many different possible origins of the Baali.
I am writing a Vampire horror novel, and Vampire the Masquerade and the clans of the games were a huge inspiration. I was a fan of the VTM games back in the late 90s and early 2000s. I'm not a fan of it now since the Gothic Punk Aesthetic has been taken out of World of Darkness, it's a shadow of its former self, but what it was back then had heavily inspired me to write my own novel where I have written my own world of darkness if you will, and I try to push the boundaries of taste and even go into extremes to make my Vampires darker, eviler, and more twisted and fucked up. The purpose was to write a Vampire story that would scare me as an adult so I feel that I need to give the Monsters that I grew up on an upgrade after being plagued by so much terrible Vampire fiction out there in so many mediums for so many years.
Tzimisce clan weakness: Must sleep with 2 handfuls of dirt from character specific place - Viccissitude - makes pouch in the stomach - clan weakness mostly subverted.
Tzimisce wasn’t brought to the Cathedral of Flesh, Yorak, upon receiving the Embryo from the Dracon who gave birth to it and was so disturbed by it that he had to give it to someone else, started building the Cathedral for said Embryo. I always believed that Tzimisce consumed the Cathedral and Possessed Yorak. Not the other way around. It makes sense that that would be the purpose of the Cathedral
Either origin story still adds intrigue to how Vicissitude is linked to the Wyrm overtly, mentioned deep in the lore somewhere, regards Nod when I was reading about it in the Deadlands.
In my own personal stories, Vicissitude itself is a “Talon of the Wyrm”, along with Obtenebration and possibly Dementation, though I’ve left that one open to interpretation for my players.
Great video! Great choice of subject. The story (or rather stories) about Tzimisce and the Tzimisce are always pretty wild. And there's still so much more to tell about the Eldest. But I guess that's the case with every major World Of Darkness character... you're probably not gonna run out of material for future videos any time soon. And you should definitely do one on Lambach Ruthven. As you mention, he's part of so much Vampire history and witness (often unintentionally) to so many important events, it's actually kinda hilarious. Plus there are so many different bits of lore about him, often contradicting each other (as is the style with V:tM lore ^^). It seems the creators had a lot of love for Lambach - and also had a lot of fun coming up with more and more stuff involving him. Which surely makes him one of the most contradictory characters in the World Of Darkness, but in my opinion also makes him one the most entertaining.
I realize that my in put is far and away late entries. However you want to hear from me whenever you can. I'm Cain Adamson, the source is usually the most accurate point of view.6000 years is such a long time

tzimisce have an advantage because they understand something of the secret structure of the universe without having to be insane to comprehend it. for all his alien nature and distasteful methods, the clan's founder was correct in his understanding of what the world is and what his place in it could be.
Since Tzimisce is in humanoid form again does that mean he looks like the vampire that "diablerized" him again, so he could theoretically infiltrate the Sabbat and freak out Lambach Ruthven even more? LOL.

I actually main the Tzimisce, they are strange because most vampires cling to humanity to survive. However the Tzimisce do not do this at ALL. Typically they look down on humans, their lesser. They don’t even like creating childer or vampires from them out of humans. They are xenophobic against humans, and for reason. They’ve been in basically on and off wars against everything from werewolves to almost every other type of vampire out there to even other Tzimisce. The issue with them aging is that typically those who either are Koldunic Sorcerers or Vicissitude practitioners. Both corrupt their mind further on top of their alien mindset, vicissitudes literally a parasite and that’s why they go so batshit crazy off the rails the longer they exist. Hope this helps!
This might not be a popular opinion but these guys are usually almost as bad as Fish Malks. They are always one note. They seem incapable of playing them off of the Path of Metamorphosis. Metamorphosis is one of those paths that's always played incorrectly as an I-get-to-be-an-arse paths. I cannot tell you how many times I've seen players try to get a secret Tzimisce in the Camarilla character approved. And all of that is not including the people who play them to live out their weird fetishes. Not to kink shame but some things cross a line.
They are typically used the same way evil characters are. In the wrong players hand they can be an annoyance and disrupt the fun. A good role player can really take these guys to an elevated level though
I do agree with that. I just question whether it's worth the hassle to have them in the game at all. In White Wolf's defense they weren't originally presented as typical characters.
