Wow, I love all the extra detailed rooms and scenes on the Death Star! It's almost as if the main hanger bay with UCS Falcon is just an after-thought compared to all the other details squeezed in there!
I didn't realise this was Brickplumber until now. Does anyone remember his CLASSIC Hoth MOC from back in the day? Me and my friend would watch over it again and again in awe at the size and number of pieces he used
I remember he replied an All-Caps rage comment when you asked him how to prevent yellowing, while you were making that Mygeeto moc. Haha, it was just a question.
Absolutely brilliant! Love the little extra jokes. But it's really his expert use of lighting that sells each interior space as a legitimate scene. Some serious "next level" skills.
When filming, always try to keep the camera level with the horizon. I know it's easier to simply tilt the lens angle down than lower the entire camera, but it makes a huge difference.
The Death Star has a surface area about the same as Lake Victoria. Which is 23,000 square miles. Minifig scale is 1:45. So a minifig scale Death Star would have a surface area of around 511 square miles. I dom't think there enough Lego, Duplo, Lepin and other compatible bricks in the world combined to make such a thing.
I imagine that building a lego Deathstar on this scale would take well over a trillion pieces. I estimate from this that it would be at least two football fields in diameter!
Actually it comes to around 1.5 footbal fields roughly around 153,104 yards assuming the average hieght of a person is 6ft. Otherwise it could be even less.
I know this is an old comment, but this isnt even a million pieces, so theres no way it would get close to a trillion pieces even if it was mini figure scale
if you think about basic chunks, it wouldn't take too many parts to make something similar to get the point across, build a few chunks and see where it goes
In about 2 months i will be finished with my lego star wars Hoth moc. The moc will be larger than 1 base plate and very detailed, subscribe and stay tuned. :)
Well if you can afford it and it's a hobby liek it is for me it's worth the price. I agree price is too high but I cant help myself as a kid I loved this stuff but never could afford it or have the patience to build this stuff myself.
Lea Brocksieper , I can answer that for you. That would be a lift shaft of some sort for lifting stores (such as ammo, fuel, tools for maintenence, etc) up into the hanger bay from a below deck armoury or maintenance center..you want to keep a hanger clean and clear of anything that doesn't need to be there. Aircraft operations anywhere are always kept seperate from everything else..It's largely due to the risk of FOD, (Foreign Object Damage), or fires..so stores are only brought into the hanger as they're needed, kept close track of while they are used or loaded, and then returned to their own secure storage areas below decks afterward. This is the same on aircraft carriers and every other hanger or aircraft maintenance facility. All it takes to ruin a multi-million $ jet helicopter or jet fighter plane is to have it suck a small piece of metal, like a screw or bolt, or a small piece of ceramic from a broken coffee cup that someone dropped earlier that day, into a turbine engine, and that can be enough to damage it severely! Possibly even destroying it completely..and also aircraft are made out of special, lightweight metals, the kind that , unfortunately also burn hot & bright and fast..(like magnesium & aluminium) so fires are also a big risk to aircraft generally..another reason that fuels and flammables are always stored securely & seperately, and only brought in to the aircraft as required, especially so in an enclosed hanger environment..and this risk would be extreme in a space environment too, far more so than on earth..because the fire would be instantly eating up all the oxygen the people on board would be breathing at a rapid rate, and the only way to quell a serious fire in space quickly enough to stop it threatening all life on board, would be to immediately seal off the area with all air-tight bulkhead doors & immediately vent all the breathable air in that section into space, quickly killing the fire, but also along with anyone else that wasnt able to quickly don, (or already wearing) self contained breathing gear. Space shuttle crews have this as a constant concern. Hope this helps you better understand & appreciate life around aircraft, & in hanger bays, a bit more, there is a lot more to it than most would ever guess..and you now know what those lift access shafts are for. You can see other examples of these hanger bay loading lifts in movies like ALIENS for example, same thing..and also on any real aircraft carriers. Cheers!
I noticed that at one point in the video it was showing like a walkway/arch and at the top there was a brick that wasn't fully clicked together with the rest of the archway. I hope it isn't glued like that.
You are correct, the bridge was from a Super Star Destroyer, I just really liked it so I put it in the MOC, also wanted to see how many people would catch it, not many did.
I wish I had the patience, time, and resources to do this kind of stuff.
I wish I had the resources
I wish i has pacience
you just got to believe
I wish I had the money.
I wish the builder of this felt spontainiasly generous and gave me that moc.
3:18 Basically the HISHE villain pub.
Yep

This comment is soooooooooooooooooooooo.....................
Underrated
Wow, I love all the extra detailed rooms and scenes on the Death Star! It's almost as if the main hanger bay with UCS Falcon is just an after-thought compared to all the other details squeezed in there!

THOSE ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOO COOOOLL!!!!!!!!! Great job to the builders!
glad to see I'm not the only one who is inspired by brickplumber
I remember he replied an All-Caps rage comment when you asked him how to prevent yellowing, while you were making that Mygeeto moc. Haha, it was just a question.

Absolutely brilliant! Love the little extra jokes. But it's really his expert use of lighting that sells each interior space as a legitimate scene. Some serious "next level" skills.
1:09 that Sound is from the Lego Star Wars Videogame xD
Love it! So pleasing for the eye and whimsical too! Gorgeous work!
that is the best Lego Builder I ever saw in my life
3 Years to build. Just take that fact in. That is some true dedication from the builder.
Love dat AT-AT MoC, really nice to look at, especially the interior.
I'd just be glad to have the hangar...for my new TFA Falcon..I dont have UCS lol

Brick plumber is the best at making mocs
So much detail wow.
the darth vader on the bicycle was just too funny!
that's dedication for ya alot of leisure time on that death star a lunch room and arcade
I'll buy the whole thing for 2$ .... Good Deal right?
+Abledartifact50 Yeah, for sure. Best deal ever! xD
Abledartifact50 I don't know kinda seems like a rip-off.
no probably only costs like thirty cents
I think darth Vader alone will set you back 2 dollars
Knowing Lego, they'd probably sell this for about $2 billion XD
That's the coolest build ever
Nice Loki cameo in the Conference Room.
When filming, always try to keep the camera level with the horizon. I know it's easier to simply tilt the lens angle down than lower the entire camera, but it makes a huge difference.
Oh snap brick plumber that guy is awesome. If you haven't yet you should check out his MASSIVE creation of horn it is AMAZING !
3:19 LOL its the Villain-Pub! I think I watch to much HISHE.
🎵come to the place where every body hates your face🎶
Fantastic build.
Just woah. And this only took him 3 years to make! This would take me several life times to make! Like really! Just great job
0:55 Darth Vader on a bicycle made my day.
Young or old I'll always love Lego!
If only he could build the whole Death Star in that scale I know that would take years and would cost a lot of money but it would be cool
Imagine a complete minifigure scaled death star. That would be absolutly amazing
Imagine if they managed to make the whole of the Death Star using whatever supplies they needed. Take guesses on how much space it would cover.
I love the xenomorph in the cafeteria it's a great alien reference
For some reason I really love this music.
How many light gray bricks do you have?
Yes
Wow, amazing work ... i love this job !!!
Impressive. Most impressive.

Wow this is really cool
I like the random miscellaneous characters like War Machine at 1:39 and Loki at 3:21, among others. Looks like he had fun creating this.
if you think about basic chunks, it wouldn't take too many parts to make something similar to get the point across, build a few chunks and see where it goes
When I first heard him say three, I thought he was gonna say three months. Not three years! Impressive, most impressive.
In about 2 months i will be finished with my lego star wars Hoth moc. The moc will be larger than 1 base plate and very detailed, subscribe and stay tuned. :)
wow i love lego star wars
2:11 ms. pacman!?
that is pretty awesome..wow
Im super impressed!
1:38 Who is the figure on the right side from silver Iron Man?
Yes
Mark 1 or a Prototype from this Iron man Suit set
I will gladly buy that as a set and build it.
Beautiful.
This as a set could easily be worth thousands of dollars
Amazing Lego Death-Star... but who's the groovy funk tune by?
I used to have inspiration to build this kind of stuff. LEGO is now a rich kids toy.
ikr
Well if you can afford it and it's a hobby liek it is for me it's worth the price. I agree price is too high but I cant help myself as a kid I loved this stuff but never could afford it or have the patience to build this stuff myself.
So cool! Really hipe I can go to america and go to a convention some time :3
You know its gonna be a good death star if you saw Darth Vader and Palpatine holding mountain dew
I remember this mission in the complete saga
This is so dope!
Annoyance is not having access to all lego pieces as i could honestly make some pretty good mocs. Always wanted to make a half life black mesa moc
1:38 would have been hilarious if he had the long neck Jedi from Robot Chicken
He's not from robot chicken, he's just one of the characters from Star Wars they used for it
Is anyone else strangely obsessed with those confined narrow drops into nothingness?
1:38 wtf? War Machine?
3:24 Loki, Lord Vader AND Lord Business?! Some people are about to have a truly bad day!
I would loveeee to own this. But 3yrs to build is a longggg time!
this is so cool!
3:47 Wait, why is there an AT AT here?
Hello, the music in the video.. who or what is it? its really good
I can think of a name for the meeting that was happening in the meeting room: International Villain League
LOL
What is that hole in the ground of the hangar actually for?

Good build
Imagine Lego making this a set
Imagine the price! Oh God!
Electro
ha
Price: roughly a small price of a million dollars
Kylo Ren
heh
only nine easy payments of 55000 dollars!!!! now that's a deal!
Does is have a canteen, with a lot trays?
He has a UA-cam as well, he is an amazing builder!!
Whenever I think of the Death Star, I think of early 70s funk/soul.
OMG that is awesome
Did he glue the pieces and figures?
Yep.
I noticed that at one point in the video it was showing like a walkway/arch and at the top there was a brick that wasn't fully clicked together with the rest of the archway. I hope it isn't glued like that.
Bensen669 XD
The Second I Saw It I Was Like "BRICKPLUMBER!!!!!
Wow I wish I can do that!
Insane!
I realise it is an amazing creation, but there are multiple scenes I am convinced are from a star destroyer bridge, and the super star destroyer.
Madscientist jr true. But you could argue that perhaps those bridge-like elements were incorporated all over the imperial design ;)
You are correct, the bridge was from a Super Star Destroyer, I just really liked it so I put it in the MOC, also wanted to see how many people would catch it, not many did.
As well as Vader's meditation chamber
At 1:39 you can see them on the right
Really cool
In the cantina, who were those silver guys with the spears in the back on the top part
