Hi everyone. Thank you for the overwhelmingly positive reaction. I'm glad you are enjoying what I worked very hard on and I'm ecstatic about the video the guys at Beyond the Brick put together for me. If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them.
Q: Wow and could you tell us about the pieces or techniques you used to attach the Super star destroyer to the rest of the model? A: Oh yea I just jammed it in there.
Haha you guys are a crack up 😂 the funny thing is the SSD was actually one of the first ideas I had with this (take a UCS SSD and actually PLAY with it! Sacrilege!) and all through the build I was worried it wouldn't work. But it worked without any wood or steel support structures underneath - only Lego. I'm glad it is being enjoyed. Thanks!
4:32 the storm trooper with the old style of laser gun, with the red transparent stud? that's a wonderful touch, especially with the non-star wars uniform!
This build is a surprise for sure but a welcome one! SW were my favourite child movies. Cant imagine time and efforts spent for this build!! Hope you win some prizes with it.
I love how you included scenes from different Star Wars movies. Well done!! This is just amazing. My only complaint is that I am not seeing this in person 😢. Please keep the whole thing; it is too epic to part out!
Kudos to you sir, marvellous job on all the hard work and detail you have put into this tremendous piece of exhibition. To me, personally, that severed hand holding a lightsaber at the throne room, just below Vader casting down Palpatine, was a stroke of genius - an incredibly small detail with powerful meaning behind it is exactly what tells the story best.
You sir, are nominated for greatest SW lego build of all time!!! This is beyond epic....as someone else commented below, im " speechless" i really dont feel i have words good enough to do this justice! Great video showcasing it too! Totally enjoyable!
This is amazing, what a build, but you know what really hit me was the stormtrooper with the old bennie space Lego chest, awe man that takes me back seeing it , I absolutely loved the space lego sets as a kid , congrats on the build, its incredible
WoW... if I had 10 arms, all my arms would have a thumbs up... That was awesome. My favorite movie is Return of the Jedi and I love the space battle scenes so much, My favorite part is when the Admiral says "It's a trap" and all the Tie fighters zoom in through the rebels ships. That part gets me so hyped up till this day because I am a big villain fan of the Empire. Can't forget about the Emperor arrival at the Death Star scene also. Great work you did, keep it up.
I think I only put one yellow head in there - on Captain Antilles getting choked out by Vader. I used Benny's (Lego Movie) head because of his expression and because he's my son's favourite character.
This was absolutely insane. The level of detailing especially in the "scenes" was astounding.... I've never seen anything like that - well done!!! 👏 👏 👏
I was hoping one of those mini scenes around the sides features the Death Star canteen and Darth Vader trying to get served lunch! Gotta love Eddie Izzard!!
Probably one of thee best videos on youtube! And I mean that man! Properly filmed and edited!! I wish I loved something as much as you love this man! Props & Kudos & Big ups!!!
Oh wow! This is beyond amazing! That POV shoot through the chasm run would make a great virtual ride at Disneyworld. You did a great job. I love the amount of detail put into everything.
Brilliant model! Love the detail and interactive nature. Also great to hear a Kiwi featured. I thought I recognised the accent and the Palmy reference confirmed it! I look forward to seeing it in Wellington. 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿
I love how he just puts a Super Star Destroyer in the top like a candle on a great big Death Star cake. Clearly I am wasting my life with my City based channel when I could be buying a ton of grey pieces and doing this!
The way the Death Star sections are laid out and assembled reminds me of old behind-the-scenes footage of Star Wars. 🙂 EDIT: Bonus points for the Eddie Izzard reference. 😀
Well.. theirs one weapon... The billion dollar car, Bugatti. LEGO officially ( a while a go ) made a life size Bugatti. Check it out. Sound like a joke but I’m serious. (It drives a little too)
This is by far probably my favorite custom Star Wars build Ive seen. It really does have everything. It looks amazing, its functional, its playability is amazing, tons of small details with plenty of nods to the movies. To top it all off the motorized trench run is just brilliant and makes this whole model come to life. Bravo mate!
I love this, but I have a suggetion. Connecting the X wing and the tie fighter with an axle leads to very smooth motion; if you used elastic with a natural length equal to the average displacement you want and a high modulus of elasticity, you should get a kind of forced oscilator behaviour where the tie fighter accelerates and decelerates depending on the corners and looks like its really being flown by another pilot.
True, but it would've snagged on the greebling/ terrain/ piping etc through the corners and middle sections. Already tried something like that. Great observation though.
@@anthonyducre2603 One other thing that slightly bothered me was the off-centered camera. Was there not enough width to shift the camera jig a few studs to the side?
Very well done sir, bravo. I wonder if the track could've been set just underneath the model with a slit in the trench base just wide enough for the x wing supports to move along? Great model!
I thought about it, but believe it or not, the extra expense would've been too much. I was on a tight budget and couldn't really justify the expense. I tried to "hide" it by putting plates in between the rails etc though.
Hi everyone. Thank you for the overwhelmingly positive reaction. I'm glad you are enjoying what I worked very hard on and I'm ecstatic about the video the guys at Beyond the Brick put together for me. If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them.
Anthony Ducre do you like light bluish grey or dark bluish grey better? :) great job!
@@jmklamm I like DBG better for now, as it is a better 'base' colour and doesn't reflect as much light as Black.
Anthony Ducre good job on the build
What is the process of aquiring all these many different yet similar pieces? Do you order them one at a time, how does it work?
Beautifully Done
Everyone:
Beyond the Brick (2075): *HUGE SCALE 1:1 LIFE SIZED DEATH STAR MADE OF LEGO ASSEMBLED INTO ORBIT!*
Nicholas hey someone actually got the "everyone"/"no one" thing right.
*WORKING!*
Imagine an actual 1:1 scale Death Star though.
That’s the plan I would assume
Iam full of expectancy...
So, this goes here, this part goes over there... Almost finished. Now just let me stick this Super Star Destroyer in here, aaaaand: It's Done!!!
HAHA
And Its done time for sleep, after 12 hours later your masterpiece is ded
You're so bad
Brian Brian ok normie
That is an amazing build. So many ideas, plus Lego train set!
LEGO is probably one of the very few companies that can say “we invented a new instrument for art.” Absolutely stunning work.
Q: Wow and could you tell us about the pieces or techniques you used to attach the Super star destroyer to the rest of the model?
A: Oh yea I just jammed it in there.
no he shmeashed it in there
Lol when I first saw the thumb nail I thought
Did a flat earthed make the death star?
LOL
No he crashed an A-Wing into the bridge and it just fell into place
Haha you guys are a crack up 😂 the funny thing is the SSD was actually one of the first ideas I had with this (take a UCS SSD and actually PLAY with it! The guy carefully putting this together: Stay on target, Staaay ooon target.
*stays off target*
Oh poop
Fire
*Jams executor class star destroyer into it all*
Puts a piece on and it falls off. “Negative! It deflected off the surface!”
"Almost there..."
4:32 the storm trooper with the old style of laser gun, with the red transparent stud? that's a wonderful touch, especially with the non-star wars uniform!
I like to imagine that he’s a secret rebel imposter.

Same..
The pedantic nerd in me was triggered by the inclusion of the Super Star Destroyer
I’ve seen it in person and it looks even better than on screen!
@@rileyhall9320 why?
8:41 that was my favorite scene where Vader throws Palpatine and you made it into the lego version. Everything is epic, amazing job!

This is the Best Lego Star Wars Model I have ever seen. It is a Miracle and was SUPER WELL MADE. I LOVE IT!!! Every huge and little detail matters.
This is the most amazing lego star wars piece I've ever scene bro. Amazing work man. Words cant capture how awesome this is.

I like that you didn't limit yourself to one movie with the interir scenes. Great build!
“How am I gonna put this super star destroyer in my build?” “Oh I know!” *shoves it in*
What’s a word for beyond epic?
Just speechless. Awesome job.
THAT IS TRULY AMAZING! THANK YOU FOR SHARING. AS A BIG STAR WARS FAN, IT WAS FITTING TO SEE YOUR LITTLE SCREEN SHOT BUILDS. WELL DONE!

That's.... insanely impressive.
Such a wonderful love letter to the franchise, great job man!
13:34 this is definitely Porkin's X-Wing.
Man, such a cool build. Love that little Tie-fighter Canopy for the phone.
The dislikes are from those who cant have this in their living room.. This is Fantastic

Absolutely outstanding! Awesome job on this trench run death star! I wish I had this!
Anthony Ducre. Truly a master builder you are. Joshua and team. Once again thank you for sharing.
Absolutely in AWE of your brick building skills!!!!! Tremendous build!! WOW!!
It looks amazing, I love the case
Me: “this is dope!!!”
My OCD: **There are some yellow heads and some tan heads**
**some storm troopers have old blasters and some have newer ones**
RamTruckLover69 that is me as well, I always get triggered when they have yellow heads but tan legs or arms
I think I only put one yellow head in there - on Captain Antilles getting choked out by Vader. I used Benny's (Lego Movie) head because of his expression and because he's my son's favourite character.
*internal screaming*
The yellow head on the character being choked actually fits quite well
I swear that tie fighter pilot is possibly the friendliest tie fighter pilot in the whole galaxy. Had so many opportunities to take down the x-wing
But then it would destroy the absolutely amazing brickwork, even Darth Vader wouldn't do that
This was absolutely insane. The level of detailing especially in the "scenes" was astounding.... I've never seen anything like that - well done!!! 👏 👏 👏
Unbeliveable, huge respect for all that work!
I was hoping one of those mini scenes around the sides features the Death Star canteen and Darth Vader trying to get served lunch! Gotta love Eddie Izzard!!
playable and displayable. the proportions and feel are just so elegant.

Amazing build by Korg
Lego Store: How many legos would you wish to purchase?
man: Yes
I don't even want to imagine the cost.
@@bjrabang3111 Me neither😂

So original
It would be about $5,000 considering most lego sets stay true to 10 cents per piece
That does put a smile on my face :) Great job, love the model

I DREAM of making something like this one day. Impressive. Most impressive
Great build. The exquisite details look fantastic.

That custom attachment for the underside of the SSD is brilliant. That’s what it needs.
thats genuinely the sickest LEGO set i've ever seen.
He has everything in there and there is so much playability
Congratulations! That is one of the most amazing Lego things I've ever seen.
So epic man! Respect!
This wins youtube today. Beyond cool. Absolutely amazing.
This is by far the greatest Lego build by a fan I have ever seen
Edit: thanks for the heart I’ve never gotten one before
I didn’t know there was this much Lego in the world ever. Marvellous.
I like how my biggest LEGO set is an accessory for his set.
Such an awesome build, congratulations!
Amazing build! I have no idea where I would put it, but I want it 😂 Love the scenes also, nice additions:)
@Cataclysmic Dildoser that's completely reasonable!
Really awesome and so VERY detailed!!

That is freaking amazing especially the trench, and the throne room. Then the mini x wing, and fighter. This really is a clever build.
Thanks man. Much appreciated!
Whelp, guess the rest of us are done. Nothing can top this except life size builds.
Pfft. The only thing keeping me from building these is money to get all the exact bricks I need. Don't have 20 grand to buy just lego.
