Gotta be one of their more relaxed songs on the drums. Sure there are doubles on the kick but no extended blast beats except for that one quick one towards the end, overall it's pretty groovy. He is still a beast
But it has polyrhitmic play. Meshuggah is labeled as tech death metal or Sepultura was death thrash but they almost didnt have blastbeats. Not everything depends on blastbeats.Technicality is important
Saw them last night and it was probably the best live blast beat snare I've ever heard. The tone is so beautiful and the speed omgh!! George kolias would be proud
@@alanlima5059yes! He is born and raised in Santiago as far as I know. Moved to the USA when he was 17 without knowing English even. He changed his last name because his original one was Pinochet, so can't blame him for it
I wanna see a drum-off between wanna see a drum-off between McGraw and Austin archey to see which one shows any signs of effort or strain first. We could be here for hours
I love how he is handling those higly trigger-operated drums with so much care, like fine bone china because the slightest touch of the skin will result in a massive detonation :D It`s the perfect example of "no, metal drummers often do not hit hard - because they don`t have the time" :) Stoked for my first Cattle Decap show ^_^ !
Are there triggers on the whole kit? The tones he's getting with what seems to be minimal effort....🤯🤯Its either triggers/blending(I know the bass drum of course) or Dave and crew are tonal gods.......this kit sounds so GOOD!
I love Eloy and I love Dave. After seeing both of them live, I can assure you that there's absolutely no way that Dave goes harder than Eloy. Faster? Yes. Harder? No way possible
I dont know why...but i wasnt expecting the fuckin hulk...good lord man...he is so precise hes gotta be on the spectrum...i mean that in the most absolute positive way...aint no way a normal brain compiles that song on drums
N Ot one single shot of this dudes bass shots when he's supposedly goes hard. Does he do anything other than simple fills. I was very disappointed a d do t think he can play as fast as this so g would lead you to believe..... however somehow they pull it off but it's definitely not the drummer. Alex ruddinger from whitechapel would eat this guy up like a snack. Love the band average drummer
McGraw has solidified his place as an uber legendary drummer.
Absolutely
McGraw and Travis is an legendary combo!
this audio mix is immaculate
Thanks!
Hell yeah sounds amazing 🤘😈🤘
You're either trying to slam your sticks through the drum heads or you're calm and composed like this.
Cattle Decapitation's last two Album's have been Incredible!
Their last 4 albums have been incredible actually. This one, Death Atlas, The Anthropocene Extinction, and Monolith of Inhumanity are all great.
Lat 4 albums. there I corrected it. lol
Their whole discography is incredible bro!
Fr the harvest floor is criminally underrated
Shoutout to whoever audio mixed the drums. It's crisp.
David Is a PowerHouse
One of my Favs in the Metal drummers community 🤘
More fron him,Photic 🙏
Awesome. Dave is a beast of a drummer. One of the best and imo underrated by many because he in cattle. He and Ken bedene are my two favorite.
Check Kevin Paradis and Spencer Prewett. You will add them to your list quickly. lol
@@xBaphometHx too bad spencer left archspire
@@toKsyKmosh yeah, I know. So sad. At least I could see Archspire live with him on the drums.
@@xBaphometHx I envy you.. I did not have the chance
This scared me. I realized this was from last year. I have tickets to see them on 5/20 in Denver and thought that I missed the show haha
That's hilarious, I've had moments like that too 🤣
David such a beasttt! through the years he has been recorded such. sick drum lines brutal af
He makes this incredibly complex song look effortless. He's in my top 3 alongside Danny Carey and Thomas Haake.
He's such a beast but so soft at the same time
The technicalitie he plays with, while looking completely effortless, is mind-blowing....
I can't wait to SCREAM to this beautiful song 12 Feb in WARSAW! See you!
Sick drummer for a sick band 🤘🤘
this guy is unreal
He’s so relaxed!
Sick fast grooving, damn awesome
I was waiting for a video like that for ages! Thanks!!!

Even harder to play that stiff at that speed.
But it has polyrhitmic play. Meshuggah is labeled as tech death metal or Sepultura was death thrash but they almost didnt have blastbeats. Not everything depends on blastbeats.Technicality is important
Dave is a beast! it looks so easy here :O :O :O
Relaxed but technical. Reminds me of Nicolas Barker.
Aguante el David 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱

He is by no means a show off drummer. But his skill outshines many others. Good stuff!
He’s such a natural.
He hit so strong with the least of efforts, amazing!
what an absolutely beast
Representing Chile behind the kit. Chileno! Chileno! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
WOW, I had no idea he was chilean 🤘🏽 it's amazing to see South American musicians in great bands.. Saludos desde Brazil 🇧🇷

Lmao. You can hear it in his grooves. Lots of clave
@@revanox181I’ve rarely hear interviews does he have an accent at all?
Daves an absolute fuckin beast. And that snare rips holy shit!
Every Cattle Decap album with Dave has been killer hes gotta be my fav extreme metal drummer
Chilled the guy !😅
Mcgraw is an absolute fucking unit!!!
9-piece drum kit ftw! 👊 Might seem like a weird thing to say but I just feel like it’s rare to see these types of kits anymore.
For sure! Very 80's-90's vibes.
Yeah man it is beautiful!!
Fuckn pro!!
It is unbelievable how easy he makes this look

For real I had the same thought!
That’s because Austin is dead on the inside.
Another day at the office for the Vanilla Gorilla 🤘
Gran Baterista Chileno 🤘🏼
Dave is the fucking man. 🫡
still as wild as he was with Sleep Terror.
Best drummer in metal

Explendid Dave McGraw
Zen Death Metal drumming 🤘😎🤘

No triggers my dude. Dave’s one of the realest and raw. So often when I work sound at shows I see triggers. This dude though, he’s something special.
Would really like to see the footwork on the fast double kicks. Swivel? Heal/toe? Never really see Dave's footwork on the fast double bass portions.
Everyone throwing a fit about eloy and slipknot I’m still over here like Dave goes off harder with half the effort.
I'm sorry but Eloy hits about 1000 times harder lmao but this is still a great performance and awesome song :)
I love Eloy and I love Dave. After seeing both of them live, I can assure you that there's absolutely no way that Dave goes harder than Eloy. Faster? Yes. Harder? No way possible
@@gaspar-animal-ribeiro5414I see Dave using triggers…. Eloy don’t have time for that shit!!!
@@TheJrabbit82he may do but he's not playing like Dave.Slipknot drumming is no way on this level.
If Eloy applies the heel- toe technique like Dave does this would be an easy gig for him.
Cuando los FANBOYS de slipknot creen haberlo visto todo.
David 👌🏻 esto es un batería Champagne.🤘🏻
Un baterista de triggers 🤡
That a Z hihat?
gangsta
Excellent sound, but the light show is giving me an epileptic seizure.
You should’ve of seen it live it was fucking me up literally

What happened to the Stewart Copeland's blue ride? :(
When we played with them in 2019, he told me that i goes with sabian cause of the distribution from paiste.

Cattle Decapitation became american Sepultura
2:30 what happened??? i heard more hits than the actual movement
Double strokes/heel toe technique. Two strokes per foot movement.
U know you don't play the high hat much when u have a cheap planet Z "13 inch as a set up lol
Thats a Z Custom Hi hat. Not Z planet.
Far from a beast though
