This is a well known issue with the '03 Lancers. There is even a techincal bulletin for this. This is also the wrong sensor he is replacing, the problematic one takes about 10 minutes to replace and has nothing to do with the sensor itself, but has to do with the design of the casing that is housing the sensor locate on the top right of the engine block building up sludge that tricks the position sensor in thinking the cam is in the wrong positon.
Thanks man. My car is misfiring right now. Going to start with that cam sensor. I really hope that works cause that crank sensor looks like a pain in the ass.
1:45 how do I get that bolt off ? I tried to remove engine mount and lower the engine but the engine won't go down enough to clear it , a tad bit more needed to get the bolt out , I tried pushing down on the engine in hopes of getting the bolt out but no luck !!
Take off the other 3 bolts and the bracket can tilt forward (top of bracket leans toward wheel well) so the bolt can clear the frame, sliding out. Insert the Same bolt in first, before inserting other bolts when reassembling.
Amigo. Mi auto se apaga cuando calienta y después de 3 minutos enciende 30 segundos y se vuelve a apagar... ese es el mismo problema que te dio a ti? Gracias por la ayuda
At 1:05 I called it the pulley wheel. As also noted in the main video comments, I used an impact wrench, the bolt came right out and it came right off without issue. For alternate methods search: pulley bolt removal Other people have vids for how to do it without an impact wrench.
How did you take the pulley off...
1:25 what size are those bolts and that nut w double bolts from alternator

E Tow could you elaborate on the sensor you speak of. It would greatly help :(

did you have to take the Water pump pulley off--to get the bottom cover off ???
No I didn't
No you do not.
No need to take out the mount for crankcensor?
why? you arent removing a timing belt
Mine doesn't look the same mangda a Dodge Stratus 2004 single head cam overhead cam
but u didnt tell how the harmonic balance was removed.

So u didn’t have to remove the harmonic(however u say it)
Is this the same as Camshaft Position Center
No
lmao when he says "oz rally edition"
Hi I change my crankshafts/camshaft sensor I put everything back and now it won’t start how would I test the crankshaft sensor my car 02 Galant 2.4
was this on the 2.4L?
2.0 L
4G93 120hp
Yes it was a 2.4 liter
@@wwhite5956 Nope it's the 4G94 2.0 Litre.
The 2.4 is the 4G69.
4G93 1.8ltr
is the reason why u replaced it was because it wouldnt crank in start position?
The engine would randomly stall while driving and throw P0340 and P0335. Not good when driving in traffic.
can you make a list of steps? a little hard to follow
4g94 crancha
Does this or can this screw up your timing?
If you fuck with the timing belt it will
What’s the point of posting the video if you’re just gonna jump to end result and not show the entire process to get to each step garage
todo picado :S
Que motor tan cochino
