Its natural that a Successor will rectify the mistakes of the Old. 🙄 But Thunderbird looks more Mature and Big.

Well explained ,I have TB 350 and recently I have test ridden Meteor and can say Meteor as a very refined bike ,Felt as if I was riding a super bike .

I never liked REs because they vibrate a lot and look weird... Agree with the vibration part but they look weird? The bread and butter of RE is their looks. The retro look of the classic 350 got RE it's sales. Then comes the only cruiser in India the THUNDERBIRD 350 and I am proud owner of TB350 since last 4 years, the bike never let me down. REs look weird my ass..kuch bhi bol raha he

Great job explaining the handlebar difference. Personally i love the 350 thunderbird handlebar due to its looks but you mentioned it feels light and unsafe which is a no no. But are all ape bars similarly unsafe? Isnt there any safe options ?

The exhaust note are different in both the bikes, you can hear the thump in Thunderbird but it's somewhat muffled in the meteor

The switchgear is similar to Yamaha RD350. The first Enfield to get a tachometer, five speed gearbox and disc brake was ENFIELD FURY.

I just wanna make sure to those guys who love RE and wanna buy it only for Dug Dug sound is history now. Due to serious emission norms it will be absent in future production REs
Actually i brought RE because it will last long more than other bikes . Maintainace is also low compared to sport bike . My uncle has an RE which is 80s model but still working smoothly .

It would have taken lesser time if you stayed at 3rd gear till 100kmph. Changing to 4th gear made it slower. Yes, 3rd gear goes up to 100 kmph on meteor. Could have done 0 to 100 in just about 14 secs. Rev limiter hits at 100 on 3rd.
Honda highness has lost. They have a worthy competitor.

I still like the Thunderbird 350 compared to meteor 350 beacuse .
- It has a good thump sound compared to meteor
- Has kick start
- Comfortable handle bar
- First RE bike to come with LED headlamp projection
- Has Tachometer
- 20 ltr fuel tank capacity where as meteor has only 15 ltr tank capacity
- Doesn't feel outdated
- still perform better compared to new bikes in market.
- Was one of the advanced bike in RE of its time when it was launched.
- It has duel disk brake , the bike launched for the price of 1lakh 70thousand at its time and having duel disk was a great thing as RE didn't offer this in other models.
- Totally value for money
- When RE TB 350 came to market there were very few cruiser bike in market.
By the way i owned RE Thunderbird 350 2016 varient ,now i have metor 350 but still miss the legendary Thunderbird 350.

I think its oil cooled engine, in the launch they told that its an air + oil cooled engine, the oil cooling system is placed in the head part of d engine
That's oil cooled head...not that oil is cooled externally using radiator.
140 rear tyre and 100 front,main plus point compared to all cruiser bike it beats continental and interceptor💪

Meteor is a bit more comfier for short height people(5.6 to 5.8) while if you are on the taller side thunderbird it is much more comfy.
For comfort it varies from person to person. So choose wisely

Ford holds the rights to the Thunderbird name internationally, hence the reason Royal Enfield had to rebrand the bike as the Meteor instead.
