So I just got this thing a little over a week ago and everyone says it's a Recto in a lunch box, but to my ears it sounds closer to the Mark series amps, of which I actually prefer! I got the Bantcab to go with it, but sadly the stock 8" 15 watt speaker really can't let this thing stretch it's legs, namely in the bass frequencies. I somewhat fixed this problem with a 100 watt TF0818 Celestion 8" speaker and while this helped alot but didn't eliminate the problem entirely unfortunately, it's limited by a matter of sheer physics I'm afraid.(SIZE) Bottom line, It's a decent compromise at the end of the day for size and portability, overall I am very happy with the Zombie II. It has gobs of gain and still retains pretty tight bass response, love it! It will make an awesome travel amp, back up rig, even a small club rig if you don't need a "wall of sound", just run with it mic'd up to the PA. it's pretty neat looking when you're in low light and you can see the preamp tube glowing. Thanks for the review man! \m/ P.S.- To all of you out there with a Bantamp, there is a carry case Joyo makes for it, called the Bantbag, I got one off Ebay for like 25 bucks. It's a very worthwhile investment to protect your amp IMHO, thank me later! ^_~ b
I love this Zombie II. I set the gain low between 9 - 10 O'clock, boost it with SD-1 + 10 bands eq in the loop = 🔥🔥 Hopefully, they gonna release a newer version with Depth & presence controls!
Yeah been thinking about this one for quite a while now, still haven't got one but i really need to...i can stack it on top of all the other heads and cabs that i never have time to plug into 😂 but yes i still need it in my life 🤘💀🤘
@@Electric.Flamingo Yeah, you are probably right. I didn't even know they made them but I checked their website after watching your video and I saw them. I wonder if they sound any good?
Yeah, there are a lot of bots, just ignore them. I have the first iteration of this amp, and it does sound like a mark series to me, which i also prefer.
You are obviously misinformed about this amp! It's more like a "valvestate" and not a full tube amp! You can't have one tube for both preamp and power amp, that's not technically possible. You have a 12ax7 for your preamp and the power amp is solid state, it's an hybrid amplifier, not so desirable..
@Electric.Flamingo Of course!! I didn't said it sounded bad, but I'm sure you know a full tube amp is more desirable than a hybrid or a solid state one, mostly because of the components/build quality, that's in general but not for all of them... You can find a lot of SS or hybrid amps that are awesome, like the Roland jazz chorus for example😉

Good suggestion!
I have the zombie 2 and a nicely equipped pedal board attached and I love it
It's definitely a big part of a killer setup!

🤘💀🤘
You won't regret it. That's exactly what I said, set it on top of the bigger head and it'll look mint!
I use a 7 band EQ thru the loop. Makes even better sounding. This thing is badass.
Nice tip!
Thanks for a informative video.
Anytime! ⚡️🦩
I have it and its great. I also captured it into my Nanocortex. Amazing.
Sweet! It's a cool amp, for sure.
Theyre more like a vlavestate amp or the old hartke GC100 amps that use valves for the preamp but solid state on the power amp end.
So I've heard. Still sounds great though either way!
Hello Sir,
Do you mind making zoMBie II video, with the sound from the headphone socket ? thank you sir
Perhaps I could do a short about it for you. If I can swing it, you got it!
@@Electric.Flamingo wow awesome. thank you sir. i really appreciate that. thank you so much.
@achutomo just uploaded a short for you! It's on my channel now!
I wonder why nobody is reviewing the joyo 4x12 v30 cabs?
Because they are 4x12 cabs and no one wants to get stuck with them, is my guess.
@@Electric.Flamingo Yeah, you are probably right. I didn't even know they made them but I checked their website after watching your video and I saw them. I wonder if they sound any good?
@w1zard0f0h I'm sure they sound massive as hell. Do they make a 2x12 by chance? I'd check one of those out in a heartbeat!
@@Electric.Flamingo They do.
I just bought a 4x12 a week ago
very good for the video, for the next time,
i suggest not use the camera mic example, to me it has no point. thank you
Some people like it, some don't. But, I get it!
You video very poor
Care to elaborate? Offer feedback? Suggestions? Or are you just going to leave a useless comment like that again?
@@Electric.Flamingo I think he's just being an a hole.
@fivefingerfullprice3403 clearly. I just like to see if they actually respond. 😂
Okay Bot! LOL What the hell lol

Thanks for clarifying. I wouldn't say it isn't desirable, it sounds great to me.

Desirable to me too!
Someone's trash is another's treasure lol
Well obviously! 😅
