Top tutorial. Seriously underrated channel!
"Laterally challenged" You mean rolls like a drunk alligator.
I've noticed your last couple AV8 vids you're into the DMT. I've always been a tpod user until they just redid all the buttonology. I haven't had a chance to get spun up yet. You seems to do just fine without!
Yeah I like it well enough. I use the Pod but if I can get away without it... I prefer.
My issue with the DMT is the single zoom factor.
Hi Casmo, another great video! Just have to correct a slight error near the end of the video.
Once you have waypoint incremented the first time and you have the data on the eshd you don't have to wp inc again you can just slew and pickle and slew and pickle, hope this helps, I've managed to get all 10 jdams off in one pass a few times now.
How does it know where to drop then? Like it’s my understanding that pressing the button is what locks that location into the system. If you don’t do that per bomb what’s differentiating the targets per bomb? I believe you, just trying to understand what’s happening in the system.
@@CasmoTV From what i understand this is what the new relative targeting added, the sensor eg the dmt or the targeting pod sends the data constantly to the weapons after the first wp inc, and that data is locked in when the pickle button is pressed
@@ghgi81 ok so it’s an auto update. Interesting. Well then I stand corrected! Doesn’t take much to prove I don’t know much lol.
@@CasmoTV Ahh its all good man! the info they provided in the quarterly update explained it fairly poorly so i don't blame you for not getting it straight away :)
Also can i ask why you put the water in the landing position for takeoff?
And yeah its an auto update, if you want a hand with any of the new changes i'd be happy to show you sometime
Using that DMT to pop off a bunch of JDAMs like that is pretty slick. I'm not sure if you've tried it yet but you can also program in JDAM targets using map markers on the magical F10 map. It's another slick feature that saves you a whole lot of clicking.
Great vid, btw. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah I learned that recently from an older video from Tricker. Was gonna do a video on that as it’s been updated for more targets. Pretty neat technique.
@@CasmoTV You can also use the DMT to make Markpoints beforehand so the only thing you need to do when entering the range is pickle, wp incr, pickle, wp incr, pickle, until you're out or until you hit all you designated targets. Its like preplanning mid air lol.
Very nice! I'm lucky to hit one on a pass!
I like it. thanks for sharing and keep the harrier vids coming please. I'll go ahead and sub with hopes of seeing more.
The good thing about the harrier being a buggy mess is there is always a tutorial that can be done on it haha. Haven’t flown one in a few weeks but I’m sure I’ll circle back soon.
@@CasmoTV haha unfortunately it’s the only module I’ve spent any serious amount of time on. I bought the f-16 recently and kinda regret it. I still have so much to learn in the harrier that I don’t want to even begin learning the viper yet. Thanks again, good luck with the channel and I’ll be keeping an eye out for new tutorials.
Awesome!
This is harder to do now that you have to hold the pickel button for 1.5 seconds before the bomb is released :(
Razbamboozled again!
Were they 'non-reacting' targets? I find the vehicles move after the first impact so the rest of the bombs dropped in the pass, miss
Yeah these were static for the test. I think atleast two would have gotten away. That’s why I was saying in the climb I think that they may move away. But kinda depends on what you’re trying to hit. Or could be clever and sim off center where you think they will move to.
Notice how quickly the first three bombs hit. Those guys ain’t getting away.
