In this video we will show a mini Documentary most likely from the 90's educating on so called "Black" Cowboys.
I thought it would be great before my future personal videos on some of the historical personages mentioned in this documentary.
Hope you enjoy ..
I love these old finds. They are better than most public funded documentaries today.
Yes, they are. The usual stuff is always misrepresented.
Me too

The love of my life was a black cowboy. Born in Mississippi, raised in Ohio and moved out west to NM. Jim worked as a cowboy stunt man for westerns, livestock inspector and many other cowboy jobs. He had the best stories and could cut a rug too! Not a day goes by that I don't think of him. 💓
🔥💯❤️🏹🪶
So sweet❤
@@KurimeoAhau my grandmother back in the day had book on black( cowboys)
@@KurimeoAhau Dude, your work is awesome.
I'm convinced that these WERE NOT SLAVES. I have ancestors that traveled the country AND WERE NOT SLAVES. I think that they like to put that stigma because they were MELANATED and still is another way of calling them Africans. These were business owners, politicians, etc. You can't make me believe that they were all slaves.
Exactly 💯
exactly .. we got to dodge the hijack always ...
Those black slaves that lincoln freed ventured off looking for work in 1865 and found work in texas at white man ranches were mexicans also worked , being a cowboy was one of the lowest paying jobs at the time and that is the only job they could find. Mexicans taught white men to ride and also black men to ride. Mexicans been riding horses since 1500s when there was no black or white men in america. There was only indians and mexicans. Mexican is a indian and spainard rolled up into one. Mexicans and indians were riding horses all thru america before you blacks got to america?
Great history of Black / Native Cowboys I enjoy this . This should be taught in our educational system . Always a wonderful lesson, Kurimeo...❤ 🙏 😊
Research vaqueros= cowboys they were the first cowboys in America. They were Mexicans cowboys since 1500s when blacks and whites were not in America yet.
Thank you so much for this video! My grandfather is a historian and he collects cowboy artifacts. This is awesome!❤

Honouring our Ancestors
Good to honour our Ancestors
To remind us that they did exist and to acknowledge their contributions to history

Wow....This channel is a goldmine for black history
So called "black" (AMERICAN HISTORY, WORLD HISTORY)
There is no such thing as "black" history. Black is not a lineage it's a color and my oldest dictionary says it actually means to be pale, to bleach etc.
We were and will be again an awesome people, yesssssss !!! Thank you Kurimeo.

Cherokee bill was the man! Rufus buck gang was cold! legends! Isom dart! Bill Pickett! Nat love! Bass Reeves. 🤠✊🏿 Love your channel! REAL Black history!
No offense and excuse my ignorance but the Rufus Buck gang was accused of rape. Is this true?

Always appreciated the Buffalo soldiers but this is far beyond. Gotta say I love ALL cowboys!
Appreciate the Buffalo soldiers?!?!! You realize the whites had them kill off the buffaloes to starve the other indigenous people?
I'm struggling with current information on any of these people now.
Wikipedia claims that Nat Love was born in 1854 (they have the exact date). Tennessee didn't end slavery until 1864. How do they know exactly when he was born? It's incredible.
- his father could read and write in Tennessee (who taught him)? Tennessee outlawed educated "black" people.
- his father was a plantation foreman?
- his mother was the "kitchen manager"? Can you be a manager when you're a slave?
Now none of what they taught in school (public or private education) makes sense at all. The lies are there if you look for them.
Great video.
we will dig up the truth thats why I uploaded this teaser ...

Your very welcome.. glad you enjoy them
Years ago, I happened upon the National Black Cowboy Association who held their Annual meeting at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. I want to say this was around 1997. It was the first time I had heard about Black Cowboys in a public forum.
Awesome
😊TY for the VIDEO ☺️
your very welcome
This is so cool! I'm glad UA-cam suggested it to me. I was literally telling someone yesterday that not all cowboys were/are white. Apparently my phone heard me. Well, if my phone is going to be spying on my conversations, I'm glad it actually works in my favor sometimes. ✨
Yup they heard.. lol .. I'm actually going to do my own presentation on them and they were actually mostly " negros" at first and throughout history.. they have white washed a lot of "cowboy" history
The Black Cowboy of Oakland?! I rode with those guys at their Ranch a few times! They were awesome!
Much love brother 💯 salaam

Bass Reeves was a Legendary "Lawman" and don't forget "Stagecoach" Mary.
Did you see the movie about Bass Reeves starring Isaiah Thomas ?
This was a great segment thank you about the American Indian Cowboys
Good morning x3 Yahoo ki yah, as a kid .who didn't play cowboys n indians. no one wanted to a indian , so we took turns .Obrigada Cuz
This was well researched and documented. However, it neglected to mention the lawmen like Bass Reeves. The character of the Lone Ranger is said to be loosly based on Bass's career as a lawman.
It's an old documentary.. not mine READ the description I have future videos in "black" Cowboys. This is just a teaser
Dude In Thumbnail photo looks like Chance the Rapper’s great great grandfather
Swag!
1:02 Look at their features, they seem to be Asian like the Malagasy. The difference between the so-called American Blacks and African Blacks is stark
.
The so called african Americans have those feathers... I have female cousins that have asian like feathers bro... Smh...
Have you seen Glenn Plummer? He looks African in my opinion but is an Black American. It just depends on your personal lineage
I came across a great book when my family was stationed out in Washington. It's called Black Pioneers Images of the Black Experience on the North American Frontier, by John W. Ravage. Saw it in the Mt. Rushmore gift shop and had to have it. The author collected so many great images for this book.
Butch Cassidy and the Sun Dance Kid and Kid Curry! Yep they were whitewashed too.
Came back to finish this. The "Wild West" -20 years. That's it. Unreal. Someone made alot of money off costumes. This brings to mind the Pony Express and it's brief existence. Hired young men w no family ties. Or DID they?
Caught your live earlier tonight, and the chat.
Some lurkers. 😀
Thank you Kurimeo.

What’s astonishing to me there is a continued theme here !! No knocked to the native Americans or the civilized tribe … those people who went west during colonialism went and built there own city people of all backgrounds but I want to focus on the so call blacks or slaves had the ability to rebuild and a new life for themselves independently they weren’t nomads or. Teepee living people they were built homes and farms , ranches etc this was remarkable
teepee's were just like TENTS used by everyone !!! only when traveling or because of force relocation from their lands... IT WAS FIRST STARTED BY EASTERN WOODLAND INDIANS !!! Try to get rid of the stereotypes and generalizations ... and "black" is a crayon color not a tribe or nation or people ... CATCH UP ON THE VIDEOS ..
Bass Reaves, Cherokee Bill and I don’t know the last one. I could be wrong
That's what's up fam shot out to my ancestors Major Hardin and Joseph Hardin true founders of East Tennessee. In the video bro said former slave and large land owner how could he say that in the same sentence makes no sense
Exactly
Bass Reeves...
