I had the honor of meeting and spending some time with communities of Black cowboys and cowgirls living the life from Muskogee to Okmulgee to McCallister(?). Wonderful people ❤ in the early 90s. Thank you so Much 🎉

There was no such thing as "Mexico" in the 1500s. We who are kissed by the sun are the original "cowboys" out here in Oklahoma.

@@ChiefXAli Google dna of a mexican is 50 percent spainard european and 50 percent native american indian. Spainards arrived in 1492 and had sex with indian women and this is were you get mexicans. In the 1500s indains and mexicans lived in north america for 100 years before white men and black slaves came. The mexican sombrero = cowboy hat was created in the 1500s then white men grabbed the sombrero and made their own hat called stenson hat = cowboy hat making it in 1830 black slaves were still in slavery till 1868 being released black slaves went out looking for work and found jobs as cowboys. White men who owned ranches and were cowboys since 1830 gave blacks these low paying jobs and that is how black cowboys came about. Google when sombreros were made and also stetson hats created? Mexicans taught white men to ride horses. Mexican cowboys were called vaqueros since 1500s? Truth needs to be told before you spread false beliefs.

Why hasn't a major film been made of Bass Reeves? I guess if the film doesn't pertain to slaves, criminals or lackeys a Reconstruction era film won't be made. Just keep Tarantino away from it because...damn.

Corey the goat the creators of cowboys goes to the vaqueros= mexican cowboys since 1500s when whites and blacks were not even in america yet? White men were taught by vaqueros in 1830 after the mexican and american war when white men came into mexico which became america after the war. Vaqueros who were mexican americans after the war showed white man how to ride and rodeo. Then in 1865 when black slaves were freed from slavery that is when blacks learned how to ride and rodeo. Spainards brought horses and cattle to america and spainards slept with indian women and had mexican children and were taught how to ride and rodeo since 1500s. Mexicans still ride in the southwest states and all thru out mexico and into south america. Its a way of life down here. America has urban cowboys like a watered down cowboy? in mexico they have the official and original cowboys who worked daily for a living down south?

With assimilation and discrimination the black Indian culture was stolen …. My family been in Alabama and Georgia before the creek nation was even a recognized tribe. I'm sorry to bust your bubble but spainards brought horses and cattle to America in the 1500s there was no whites or blacks in America for 100 years? The word lasso and rodeo are Spanish words? Research in Google of vaqueros= Mexican cowboy? You blacks learned how to ride horses in 1865 after the civil war and white men learned after they took the southwest states away from Mexico in 1830. The horses and cattle were left and many Mexicans stayed north of the border in the land that's was taken away, those Mexicans who stayed were granted American citizenship when you blacks were still slaves. The vaqueros taught white men to ride, lasso and rodeo in 1830. Remember Christopher Columbus was the father of Mexicans and the mother of Mexicans is the native American Indian women. DNA of Mexican is 50 percent European spainards and 49 percent American Indian and 1 percent African.
