- Thanks for watching this brief tour of Huntsville International Airport!
As a lifelong traveler, I never get tired of the process of boarding a plane going somewhere new and exciting, and one of the little pleasures I enjoy is seeing a new airport on my way to my destination.
Today I wanted to fly a new airline, Silver Airways, so I made the drive about four hours south of Louisville to Huntsville, where one of their ATR-42s would spirit me to Orlando for a short visit. An early morning departure gave me plenty of time to explore Huntsville's international airport, the second busiest in Alabama. It received a modernization a few years ago, and the new facility is inviting and functional.
This tour covers views and travel information from around and inside the terminal, as well as facts about Huntsville's traffic, destinations, services, and amenities. I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived, but I was pleased with the results. Huntsville's airport is an easy-to-use, efficient, and convenient place to start your journey, wherever you're going!
I've provided two airport tours in the past, and this video is an attempt to revise and refine the methodology of these videos. Because airports can be confusing and intimidating for infrequent or first-time travelers, I want to make sure that you feel prepared when arriving at HSV, or any airport I cover.

Airports are our gateway to the world, and I hope you enjoy this and other airport tour videos from Miles by Foot!

Awwww I love that there is a hug zone - what a compact airport, must make it easy to travel through xx thanks for sharing - we enjoyed watching xx
It is! For a small, local airport, it can't get any easier.
My home airport! How cool! Great highlights and video! Yes! I have spent a few moments on the top deck to make a cool catch coming it! The freight side (east) always has heavy aircraft coming in and out!
HSV has some heavies come through, I'm sure. Their runways aren't long just for show!
Thanks for the video man! I'm moving there pretty soon and that's the airport I'm going to. :)
Nice!
@@MilesByFoot are the restrooms at this airport clean?
@@humortangelo3975 Spotless!
I just looked this up so I could say”I’ve been there, I stood right there a couple years ago!”
I do the same thing! :)
Good video..like to see one on Tampa or Key West.
Me too :) I've been trying to get to TPA for years now but haven't found the right moment!
I've been there A lot of times
Good, I hope I did your airport justice! :)
The ticket was affordable? Lol Huntsville used to be the most expensive us airport to get a ticket at
My research found your sentiment to be the truth, but my ticket was quite inexpensive, both inbound and outbound. I tend to aim for lower traffic times, though, and I book as far ahead as possible. These are the biggest factors in your ticket price!
