Thanks for this review! I just saw this pedal yesterday, but didn't know what all it could do. My brother, who recently passed away used a pedal board w/several pedals mounted on it. I have a few pedals and was contemplating on buying a board, then fing a power supply for it all. With this pedal, I could afford to part with some of my existing pedal. I'm a trucker, so this would be good for the road, too, it looks like. And I found you by accident, but you're on my radar now! 😉 👍🎸
Maybe someone can help me with this question-- let's say on this, I have it setup so I have on an octaver, a phaser, and a synth. While playing, am I able to turn off or turn back on any of these three pedals? So, just using my feet, I could turn off the octaver, then turn it back on, then turn off the synth?
Hi sirs, I recently purchased this from Amazon. But it seems mines not working. When I plugged the cables, it powered on but rhe screen just showed the Boss logo and then it went blank. There is something I missed? Or is my unit defective? Thanks for your answers.
Great review mate! Really informative and i like your style of playing! I am planning on getting that Pedal as a gift to myself soon ;) Do you think that I need a compressor as well, or it can stand on its own on a recording or live gig?
There is a built-in compressor, and yes I think it could stand on it's own! But with most all-in-one pedals, it's hard to beat a stand-alone analog compressor. I'd say start with this, and add on other stand-alone if you feel you need them. Thanks for watching!
It's a Schecter Riot 4, it's a neck thru I bought like 10 years ago ish. I'll check the serial #. It plays awesome, I did replace the bridge pickup with an EMG-DC35 and the neck pickup is disabled LOL. The preamp is an active EMG BTC running at 18V I'll probably get another DC35 for the neck and get that one working too.
Yeah they are plastic switches, so probably not as durable on the road as heavy duty metal ones. Still great for home and local gigs if you don’t go crazy 😆
Yes! There’s an 1/8” stereo jack in the back for jamming in private

Does it have any pitch shifting effect that works with chords? Maybe the overtone effect? I'm looking for a dry signal + an octave up signal for chords.
@@bassalien people say none of the presets are good, but I love 70s Amp Finger, Low and Sweet, Filter Funk and some more. Just getting into making my own and grabbed a lot of tone studio. I'm not very good at that so it's a WIP
Hi, does it need to have a particular adapter for it to work? It says on the AC that it needs a “BOSS PSA ADAPTER ONLY”

It will work with any 9v power supply of the correct polarity (if the polarity is wrong, it will not fry it, just not work), as long as it's enough mA (milliamps). Soooo for example Thomann NT 0910 would work with it
Honestly I'm having a very tough time operating this pedal. It is incredibly complex and the instruction manual is not very helpful. Ive watched all the videos I can find on how to work it and I'm about to give up on it.
No. Just trying to go through it and get it working correctly. The manual isn't very clear on the difference between the preset settings and the user set settings. Can't get the wall pedal to work correctly all the time even though the manual says to step forward very forcefully until the light comes on. Just seems to be an overly complex device to work around.
This pedal is incredibly complex and difficult to use. Yes, it is extremely capable of a lot of things. Had they written the instruction manual so you could actually understand it this would be a much better pedal.
@@cousineddie7898 Completely agree - I have one and whilst it's supposed to be capable of a lot, without a useful instruction manual or useful set of instruction videos it's proving to be not as useful as hoped. Has anyone, for example, figured out how to isolate an effect into an available memory slot so just that single effect can be used?
I learned that in future videos I need to mute my voice mic when playing so you don’t hear so much of the finger string noise and clacking

Glad I could help!! Sorry for your loss.
If I had this how would I connect it with my Markbass cabinet and amp head like where do I plug everything ?

@@IT-IT07 sounds defective. It should always have something on the screen
@@bassalien thank you sir. I’m returning it to the seller in Amazon.

I have the same bass pedal . What to do when it says knob is locked? How to undo that?

Hi! nice video. One question, the 3 foot switches are plastic or metal? they look a little breakables

Hi! What's the black semi acoustic bass in the rear? If it's short scale with mudbuckers I need one of those 😍
Looks like a Warwick Star Bass to me, maybe the Rockbass version, not sure.
Does it work as a practice amo with headphone jack

You can set the parameters just like the pedals.
