I just got mine - the onle CON I can see is that, at this juncture in tech, Bluetooth would be a feature, and not an additional cost add-on. Build it in, boss. do the right thing :D
When we used to jam together I used a guitar version it was a cool blue one. That thing had one of the best univibe effects ever. Second to none. Also the compressor on it was nice.
Love😂 it!!..and most Boss Pedal Enthusiasts will!!😊..just as i still dig & gig with my trusty Boss ME-50B in great condition that comes thru for me & my various arsenal of Basses!👍🏾😆
Really nice! I like the intuitive stomp box mode, and it looks really sturdy. The only con on paper that I can think of it the size. But it's necessary to fit all the knobs. It sounds great as well, but in the end, it's something everybody has to experience for themselves. I'm looking for something much smaller, so I'm waiting for the upcoming Zoom MS-60B+.
@@patrickhunter indeed it is incredible. It’s definitely a step up from the previous me-50b. I once tried an me-50b when I was younger and I thought it was pretty cool. But this new me-90b sounds incredible. Since I’m in the market for a new multi-effects processor for bass, I might go for this. My other choices would definitely be zoom, sonicake, or valeton
I'm an early adopter of this and got mine days after it was released. I really like that it is easy to control without software but the app is available as well. Very easy to grok and very flexible. The simplified display seemed limiting at first, as I was using the B6 with its fancy touch screen, but a lot of times I was stuck trying to remember how to do some basic functions. The ME90B is so much easier FOR ME. Love the flexibility of the effects loop, too. My favorite bass multi-effect is the ZOOM B9, which I still have, and this seems like an update of that pedal, even though they are from different manufacturers.
I've seen some reviews of this ME90B but neither of the videos said if the pedalboard can be used as an audio interface? Plz if someone have the answer I would appreciate it. Nice video as usual, Patrick!! Greetings from Mexico.
Question for you... Is it possible to set different effects in each channel? Ex. Octave on the Left output and Overdrive on the Right output? Or is there a way that I can have a separate dry signal output? Thanks for sharing btw.
Thank you for the great! video, which is the most helpful clip showing 90B. I am thinking about buying this for my semi-acoustic bass guitar, utilizing acoustic preamp. acoustic simulation, eq, and slight reverb while blending the dry signal a little bit, and tune-shifting when playing difficult scales, together with a volume pedal. Would it be worth buying this in my case?
I had a GT1000CORE and ended up hating it because its interface was so slow to edit and I encountered serious volume and phase issues trying to set up parallel effect paths. This kind of tactile device might be more my style
bro if it's your first one i recommended to you to look more options, in comercials it seems like you have an infinite numbre of posibilities, but sometimes it can get a little short, i started with some some zoom and line 6 old multiefex but some times i get a little frustrated because i wasn't able to get the sounds that i wanted, now with digital stomp boxes i gets really easy, an also use a couple pedals to things that i always need for every chain currently i think that the new zooms gets the job done and doesn't get in the way that much
@gabrielalejandroaguilars9309 I appreciate the advice. I have an old zoom basic multi. It's fine, but the tones aren't great and it doesn't track super well. I would like something a bit sturdier that tracks well that isn't $1000.
Hows the drop tune? I have a hard time finding a decent quality one for bass. I switch tunings tok often for my band which takes me from E standard to as low as C Standard. If I could get something that handled that well without needing to switch tunings. Would be rad. My axe fx 3 was the best I had so far but no longer have the unit
I use EZDrummer2, I make my own beats and use and modify the different beats in the stock library, I definitely recommend it! Was a bit of a learning curve for me personally at first, but it’s such a great program that helps me bring my riffs to life
a lot of capabilities a missed in comparison to hx stomp, which has been released 6 years before. you cannot change order of fxs. cannot use a preamp with an different eq. an octaver with compressor, and so on. obviously you cannot upgrade it with newer firmware because all fxs are listed on top of device phisically. instead of you can broke one screen on cmall device, now you can broke a lot of small potentiometers on a big one. and you still cannot understand it's cons, siriously?
@2:50 me too!!!😊 awesome review and great powerful playing as always!!!

4:3 aspect ratio intro is giving me some 90's vibes, Love it bro. Loads of knobs yes sir!
90’s forever🤘
@@patrickhunterAre these effects exactly the same as on the Katana Bass amp head that you recently reviewed?

Just got one a couple of days ago. So much to explore, but so far I like it. What i really like is the dials instead of menus

I just saw the MS-60B+ the other day and I’m SUPER intrigued!
Awesome demo as always, Patrick 😎🤘🏻🎸 this multi-effects processor sounds phenomenal. I do dig the selection of effects it offers. They sound awesome
Thanks man! And yeah this puppy seriously sounds incredible, especially for the price!

Awesome video! Boss rules!
You need a Jackson bass!
Cheers from Portugal 🤘🍺🇵🇹
Lots of great sounds here.
Gritty P-Bass tone is so nice!!!
Looks pretty cool to me. Seems like a good pedal for bass.
What? No Fart pedal effect? Boooo!

Yes it can
Awesome test - is it better then Zoom B6?
Do a B6 vs pleaseeeeeee.
Two beautiful shades of blue.
I will stick with my Line 6 HX Stomp but I love the Boss Pocket GT. Cheers from Toronto 🍺🇨🇦
Great vid! What is the effect/effects you are using for the main tone in the intro song (from 0:35)? It sounds fierce!
Question for you... Is it possible to set different effects in each channel? Ex. Octave on the Left output and Overdrive on the Right output? Or is there a way that I can have a separate dry signal output? Thanks for sharing btw.
What is the Boss connected too? I don't have an bass amp. I only have studio monitors, can Boss be connected to the monitors via an interface?
Got mine last night and love it. Might have to sell my Zoom B6.
You think it’s better than the Zoom?
@@tooshort3142 I think so cause it’s ease of use on the fly. Sounds pretty good too.
The zoom b6 isi a beast I think it comes down to the bass player preference
Thanks for a great post but I wish you would have shown me a sample of that shimmering echo or reverb

Nice Shirt!🦎
I upvoted as soon as I saw it.
Is it capable of having both the compressor and the octaver switched on at the same time?
I have been looking for a more entry (well made) multi effects pedal, I think I may need to pick this one up.

I’m missing an amp output on this. Sometimes I’ve like to send it to PA/inear and an amp.
It's like a purple version of the red GT6B
Is this better then GT-1B? Can this be an upgrade ?

I bought it and it's great honestly
But how do I adjust the noise suppressor's treshold?
I have the boss gt1-b but I don’t really like it much. I’ll have to try this one
I have the older red boss multi effects and it was ok... Bought the gt1-b to update and I did not like it at all...
so awesome, too bad for us in LATAM u cant find it below 500-600 USD :/
The Pitch shifter is polyponic?
Do you make your drum beats or you take from libraries?
I use EZDrummer2, I make my own beats and use and modify the different beats in the stock library, I definitely recommend it!
Was a bit of a learning curve for me personally at first, but it’s such a great program that helps me bring my riffs to life
Patrick you need test Zoom B6
Eh, I prefer the gt1000 core. But, I'll stick with my cheap Zoom b2 four over both lol
The ME90b is as cheap as the Zoom in terms of what you get. Wouldn't call it cheap anyway but whatever! :)
What are modlers 😕
I will take one of these over a $1000 modeler any day!
No high- or low-pass filter? How about a noise gate?
Pretty Rad! Also first :)

The lack of an AUX makes this a bad purchase. Boss makes some of the most stupid choices.
Better than HX Stomp
Are you a tard ?
😂😂😂😂
You watch this tard,so you must be 😂
