Is that a fuel pressure sensor on the front of the fuel rail? Are you running the Reflex controller? Could you install a FPD on the bottom side of that fuel rail?
Yeah its the “motiv bar sensor”. I hooked it up to the top mount fuel rail. I am running the motiv reflex+(check my other videos). with the new firmware / map, the injector duty should change based on fuel pressure at the Port injection rail. So bascially saying if the pressure drops at the reading of the sensor at rhe fuel rail the duty cycle of the port injectors should kick on higher to keep rail pressure from dipping too low. Aside from that you need the proper fueling, im dealing with my low pressure dipping a little bit and the rail pressure is going below 2000 causing some issues. But im going to try running dual fuel pumps and hope that solves my issue. I am going to upload a video of what i did to run that sensor, and to answer ur question about the sensor i am pretty sure u can connect it to the bottom of the fuel rail. You just need to purchase the right AN fitting with the 1/8 NPT so the sensor can thread into it. It might sound confusing but you can hmu on instagram brandon_aldana04 i have footage to display if that makes it easier.
@@brandon_30ff so is this normal ? I see a lot of people saying it don’t smell. But my stinks so bad. It gives me headaches. But I think these people don’t live in LA where traffic is bad. We do more time stopped than driving. Or do I have a leak ? It sounds terrible and loud too. Very raspy and cheap like some young punk with no money going straight pipe. These videos on UA-cam don’t sound nothing like mine. Or is it that Bmw did a lot of changes on the newer n54 since mine is the first n54 version pre lci too . Your thoughts?
@@TheTruelakersfan i mean i personally dont think any n54 sounds good straught pipe. Your concern of the smell makes me think you dont have secondary 🐱. I feel like if there’s a leak then i would imagine you would have 02 sensor faults if there was a leak at where the downpipe meets the exhaust. But yeah sitting in traffic that smell will get to you. My car does stink but im usually in highway and there’s not much traffic when im out driving. Espcially out in my area. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have other questions, im here to talk lol
@@brandon_30ff thanks bro your input really helps. And yea I have no codes and least not yet I have haven’t flashed it yet with MHD. Car is fully stock and been told I will get a check engine light until I do.
How long have you had the DP on for? I’m very surprised it doesn’t have a check engine light I would still download MHD and hook up to it because without a license, you can still see if the car is currently flashed the Apple store tell you what version of what Map file that has.
To the port injection controller which in my case would be the motiv reflex… keep it simple. Just as the stock direct injection wire harness goes to the dme, the other injectors route to another “ecu” or port injection controller
Yes tune was needed. Along with a port injection controller. And it probably added 50hp on pump gas and more on full e85.. its so worth it. Get a good tuner !
Used the bar sensor from motiv. Plugged into one of the AUX in so the reflex can read it. Used a 10an fitting with 1/8 NPT so the bar sensor can thread into if. If u have more questions message me on instagram. Brandon_30FF
Not sure. From what i seen with the docrace mintake manifold it changed the fitment of the manifold. So i would imagine you need to get a different chargepipe. I just settled with the BPM it looks good, keeps that same stock look. But the DocRace looks really good with a top mount turbo. Its your call.
@@mikespeed3928 if you want to run port injection yes you need a controller, i used motiv reflex. you can run the manifold without out the injectors, you just need the injector dummy plugs to go in its plaxe.
Great job on the tutorial. I like the sped up video with the explanations. Works well. Getting ready to do this myself
Thanks for the feedback much Appreciated 🙏🏽

How do you stand the smell of gas ⛽️ with aftermarket downpipes ? Imagine adding enthanol
Its only bad at standstill. But when e85 is in the tank. It smells great 🤣

Did the fuel rail need orings for the fittings?
O rings on the injectors yes
Becareful with that teflon tape, I have seen several motors and turbos go bye bye because it.
Thank you🙏🏽
Did you have to buy a separate harness for the injectors? My first time doing something of the sort so I’m kinda stumped
Yeah you’ll need a port injection controller
@@brandon_30ff alright, thanks
So where does the end of the injector harness hook up to ?? To the ecu ?

Did it need a tune afterwards? And how much power was added?

Hey man for the reflex pressure sensor, how did you install it on the end like that?
I can’t seem to find the fitting you used, I really need it lol

Ima be honest man i just bought mine off amazon 😂
I flashed my aic6 controller and then flashed my e85 map but my PI not turning on?
How do u know its not turning on?
How does this manifold compare to the DocRace manifold?

Yes sir 750cc’s
What coil r u running?
If you’re talking about ignition coils, I am running Eldor coils, with NGK 1 step colder plugs
