The Borgias sounds so interesting as does the Edward VI. Thanks for sharing this Brattle Bookstore Visit.

So Chanticleer seems to be inspired by the Renard (fox) cycle of the Middle Ages. The most famous medieval French work was the Roman de Renart. That must have inspired Chaucer. This looks like an interesting picture book.

Love Orlando Furioso. Read a prose translation for college, but I recently got the 2 volume verse editions

I've been trawling through your backlist (yes, actually - book discovery is fun) and saw one called 'The President's Reading List" my immediate thought was that it was a list of books about presidents then quickly remembered there was a time when the US president would read books, especially around summer. Trump has been on summer holiday recently, golfing, yes even in NZ we hear about it, so I did a quick google of 'Trump reading list' and 'Trump summer reading' - whole lot of nope on that :P

You raise one of the most pertinent questions on history books; are we reading the bad version? The so so version? Or the good or very good version or the version that should be a standard? If I pick up a book on the Borgia's will it be full of errors, badly researched or outstanding? I don't know, most of us won't, can you guide us on this?

One can't help but wonder how history might have changed had Edward lived.

    Hello, Steve.
I was wondering on how I could start reviewing books. I am really wanting to get into reviewing books, but I don't know where to start in terms of where to write and where to get reader copies. Any advice?
    Thank you,
    Graham
