I always find "say yes" to be irritating advice. Obviously it's correct - if you're turning down social opportunities you're not really trying to be more social - but if I already had people inviting me to things then I wouldn't be needing to watch social skills content on UA-cam, right. It's like giving someone "accept a highly paid job offer" as advice on how to earn more money - the hard part is how to get the offer(s) in the first place! I wish I was in the cosy position of having people were constantly asking me for coffee etc. and I just had to stop rejecting THEM, lol.
