Ii hate this level with a passion, I've been trying to complete it for a week now and with no success I've given up for now
Don’t give up , You can do it I’m sure of it , it’ll just take maybe 100X but you’ll do it.
here's a trick, choose nabbit and jump gadget. You will pass it easily
this was the only level that made me get my first game over, all because my character forgets how to slide on walls and falls

I think you would had benifitted from experimenting more with badges, safty hounce is hard to recover with on this stage, so i would reccomened spinjump or floating high jump instead, or since it seems you stuggled eith getting too walls maybe the vines would help

@riiicckk I was attempting the final final test and now I know how much I rely on spin jump, I've spend 3 hours on this stupid stage because I had such a hard time with the bounce badge and now I've spent over an hour on the invisibility badge, whoever made the special world is a sadist

I kept getting to the final wall jump, but I wasn't too slow, I actually choked.
I was to slow and to fast 💨 😅

This took me 56 attempts so far, and I keep failing.
You are amazing to finish in 60 attempts! My thumb is sore, my fingers are numb and after hundreds of attempts i still couldn't finish it lol...

So I managed to get this level after wasting 47 lives out of 56, afterwards I learned a trick/ cheese that would have been helpful for the life count. The level in the fluff puff peaks, just before you leave the mountain and go to the clouds (the one with the yellow birds that dive at you) about halfway through there is a small alcove in the ground filled with bricks and a bird above it. Kill the bird before it breaks any blocks then break two on the left and the one on the right so that when you stand on the lower side there is a single block in front of you. Now go find a koopa shell, stand on the lower block and place the shell on the higher block, then jump on the shell keeping to the left side. If done correctly you should bounce off the shell into the wall that pushes you back into the shell in an infinite loop that will quickly max out your life total.
Yea it is a cheap way to gain *infinite lives (you can only hold 99 at a time) but considering how many lives you will lose to this level I’d say it’s fair game especially if you try to 100% it. Also remember as long as you don’t leave the level or run out of lives all large flower coins you collect will stay collected even if you die. So you can first focus on the coins then focus on level completion. I recommend a badge that gives you more height or hang time and you might want to unlock more badges first.
That’s some good info for more lives , I had to go collect flower coins to buy 99 lives lol 😂, this damn level was just insane, my thumb hurt and was sore 😂 but I still did it !!
I have used that trick for 99 lives many times. It is so useful. I have used thousands of lives on this level. I have made it as far as the last vertical wall but the block disappeared. I am dreaming about completing this level but I don't know how much more time I should dedicate to it. It is taking over my life.
I never lost nearly as much. I don't remember exactly how many tries it took me, but I'd guess about 5-10. Badge Marathon, however, drained around 30 of my lives, and I do remember that one more clearly. I actually 100% completed the game on 22nd October, only two days after its release.
I think if there's anything to take away from this video (and it took me a LOT of attempts too) is to be patient, Start Slow with the beat but speed up when you run on the platforms.
the issue is not that they "wont turn on" it's being impatient with the beat and not being in time. just learn the pacing and match it and utilize the platform length for jumping to the small ones as well as not hesitating. hold right/left against the platform you are jumping off of, don't let go. and use a controller with a good D-Pad

Wall Jumping is the bane of my existence. I got through all the other levels with little to no problem, but this level kicked my butt. anything wall jumping or climbing was terrible. Then I learned the Pro Controller D Pad is the worst at least in this context because I used a 3rd party controller and it was easier to wall jump, but I still had a tough time. Sometimes it's just not your best skill. I know people who struggled with some of the other challenges and I thought "man I breezed through this" but I also know I couldn't do this level as well as some people.
Dang that level was difficult. I forgot how many tries I did this but it was a lot

So i beat it once but didn't get any flower coins and then did it again today... 20 lives. Tbh I did significantly better this time around compared to before where I spent 2 days trying to beat it.

Did 100 lives today. Got in the zone once and LOVED seeing Mario do a bum pound into the acid, because of course I pressed the fricking down button?!! Didn’t I!?!? Oh ffffffffss

tbh i found this level pretty easy but i think it was just from a combination of many attempts spent on jump jump jump (the 4 star level in world 2) and my relatively good wall jumping skills

Some people are very good with “rhythm” games. Some can do it on their first try. I think it’s a music cue then visual tbh.
My first time through, it only took me three attempts, and that's because during my first two attempts, I was wearing the wall climb jump badge, and it messed me up.
I guess you can say I was well trained by all the wall climbing levels in Super Mario Maker.
I really am not sure how people struggle with this level, this level legit took like 6-7 attempts, and I'm not even good at platformers
I'm glad you found the level relatively easy! Sometimes it just clicks for certain players, and that's awesome!
