I know this is an older video, but I was just watching it for entertainment. I agree with other commenters, I enjoy the technical details. It's really interesting learning about different considerations you take in the process, makes it far more entertaining. I wouldn't change a thing. Heck you could even get a little more technical, I'd probably just think it was interesting.

Katie, I only started making soap about 3 months ago, and so far so good. But if it weren't for me finding your channel, and watching your videos (over the past few years...my husband almost banned you from our house I watched so often) I never would have known this is a hobby I enjoy. I LOVE that you talk about the technical side of soap making. Please don't ever change that. I've learned a lot from you. I'm a part of a few soap making groups and most of us know about you and LOVE what you do! So what you're doing is working!

I absolutely love your soaps and videos, please don't cut out the technical stuffs... I am a soap maker, as well as other bath and body products but, still only about 6 months into the game and still fighting with CP soap. I have no problems whatsoever with HP, stick-blend HP, glycerin soap, liquid-soap but... CP soap for some reason, just seems to hate my guts! I have yet to make one without them being totally dominated with glycerin rivers/floods. Don't know what I'm doing wrong and have tried everything I can think of. With and without TD, water discount, various temperatures when mixing my lye and oils, various temperatures and techniques when saponifying. I can make ever so beautiful and delicate color patterns, which of course totally disappear in the glycerin rivers.... I'm tearing my hair out!! but, I will NEVER give up!!!
Watching you work, just mixing, blending your colors and getting it perfect every time, I should really hate you but... You are one of the reasons I keep going and one of these days, I'll shock the heck out of myself by finally un-molding a loaf that has no rivers, watch me not remember how I did it... LOL
I really look forward to watching you work and love the updates on that beautiful little Lily. Some days, you are the reason I can have a smile on my face... Thank you

okay this is a strange idea but could you try piping on the bottom of the soaps. then line it up with the cuts so when you cut it you can see it on the bottom sides of the soap. you could then cover it with a in bucket swirl once the first layer of piping is set????
You could also pipe the top or leave it and add inbeds
there could also be mica lines on the piping that within the soap
    Just an idea
    Love ur videos

You should make a soap where you do the piping when it’s still really liquidy so the piping falls into the soap. That would be cool to see how it ends up

Please never take out any of the technical stuff that makes soap making so much fun for you. It's an honest treat to me to just watch you enjoy your craft.
Personally, I have tried out melting pour soap making with a craft kit I bought at a local thrift store and found it to be real fun. Yet, ever since watching your videos, I've grown more and more curious about the actual process of soap making and am kinda looking forward to finding the courage to try out making my own bar of cold process soap one day. I keep collecting stuff for it, since budget!, but I know that I will be able to do a trial run in a couple months, maybe around new years? But believe me when I say this, I will be heavily referencing your videos/tutorials and plain encouragement during the process.
Just never change, keep your bubbly personality and your chattiness intact, for me, that is precisely what makes your videos worth watching. 💚

I’m absolutely in love with your little one. She’s such a tiny sunshine.
I’m a new-ish subscriber: And I don’t make soap, honestly don’t even remember exactly how I found you. Suspect you were once in my recommendations, I do remember how much I like your personality.
Watching videos like yours are fun and relaxing.

Ooooh I’m so excited for this one! Question: how do you recommend we store our soaps? I have quite a collection at this point but hate to leave them in the plastic-I can’t smell them that way!

    • @RoyaltySoaps
      @RoyaltySoaps  6 років тому +11

Chloe Lynn Makeup Well, since there isn’t any preservatives in my soaps, the scent will EVENTUALLY disappear, but it will last much longer if it says wraps and you only open a wee corner for sniffing. Haha I usually recommend folks use them with 6 months of buying so the colors still look pretty and the smell is nice. ❤️

Lilly is adorable. She looks so much like you (has your eyes). I'm 69 years old and love to watch your videos for the technical stuff but they are extra special when Lilly is in them. I feel like I'm blessed to watch her grow up. I do make soap, just for family and friends though, but never tried soap frosting. I still work full time so if I ever retire I may give it a try. I have made a smaller batch using your recipe and I love how it came out and how it feels on my skin. Keep up the good work.

@Royalty Soaps Q of the Day comment: I have never made soap, but I do binge your videos, it's like a "satisfying" video, particularly with mixing, pouring and cutting, these 3 things are super enjoyable to watch, lol, but I also do enjoy hearing the technical aspects of it as well, I want to make some of your recipes someday, but until then I'm 100% satisfied to just watch and enjoy lol, also, I think if you're gonna change something to cater more to people who don't make their own soap, I'd say just keep doing these videos as you always have, but maybe you could cut together clips from all your videos, like cutting compilation vids, or pouring compilations, mixing compilations, etc, that way you don't have to make more content specifically for this audience of non-soap-makers, but can use footage you already have anyway to give us "satisfying soap compilation" vids! Just a suggestion since you had asked about your non soap making viewers! 😉😊❤

I love watching your videos because you don't hide anything, you're actually funny, your daughter is adorable and your videos are so interesting. I've been watching since you were in the garage and you had to plan your soaps around the weather/humidity. You are awesome!!

Not a soap maker, just a seamstress. But I love to hear your voice in the background while I work. Your personality really shines through in your videos and your excitement about your soap keeps me excited about my work. Also, Lilly is absolutely adorable.

I'm not a soapmaker because I don't have room or supplies, I just like watching people make stuff. I would like to try making soap catered to my family's needs (sensitivities to fragrances and varous other things - I'm the only one who isn't)

AvenRox I use melt and pour and personally it makes less of a mess and doesn’t require that much space they have kits online or in craft store that I bought to get started with

I’m practically living out of one bedroom, but have managed to fit everything for melt and pour soap making into my bedroom. It’s definitely doable in small spaces, with little margin of error.

A lot of things to say about this video, and they're all good!
    1. Lily is so adorable! I know this video was 2 years ago, but gosh, she's gorgeous!
    2. Those soaps look so pretty and colorful! The contrasts of green are amazing and I love the creativity behind it! Margarita soaps, weeeee!
    3. This is just me (probably), but when you said "If I had a restaurant, I would put whipped cream on E V E R Y T H I N G ! ! ! !" and the first thought that came was "WHIPPED CREAM ON TACOS! THE SOUR CREAM IS THE WHIPPED CREAM REPLACEMENT!"
    4. I don't make soap, but it is so entertaining to see how much goes into making them! I love seeing the technical side of your videos and it's fascinating to see it from start to finish!
    5. I personally love both equally! Lemons and limes are used so much where I live, that my family buys both! Lemonade for summer limes for Mexican food, and both to season our fish when where eating, hehe
Lastly, are they still available? My mom LOVES margaritas, and seeing that this was made 2 years ago, it made me doubt but I'd rather ask than bite my tongue and say nothing. I would love to buy one of these soap bars so that she can use it for special events (my family uses different soap scents bcuz depends on the occasion, lolol, we're weird)
Congrats on your success and stay safe!

I know I’m watching some of the older videos. I had always wanted to try making cold process soap but wasn’t able to. Circumstances have changed so I have been able to try making some. I can’t wait to make more. I can’t wait to see how they look when you cut them. I don’t want to start a business this is my hobby. I hope all my friends and family enjoy soaps. They love my bath bombs. I enjoy watching you because you are very enthusiastic about what you do and share how to be frugal. Which is always helpful if it just a hobby.

Your daughter is adorable and when she looks at you she passes for an Angel and vise versa. Beautiful😍
BTW , You were a top suggestion to me immediately after I was at Nurture soap , I didn’t realize till much later your piping set. I had never watched a soap video , ever before then.
I create soaps too when I showed my mom your video my mother immediately asked me to make soap like yours , she is delighted thinking she will want to eat my soaps. 🤣
Your videos are ASMR for me and since you popped up in Aug '18 I didn't watch with sound till you lil baby doll popped up and I could help but listen.
You have a lovely family 💗

I think part of the reason I watch your videos (as a person that doesn't make soap) is because I like learning how things are made, in other words, please don't take the technical away! Its why we're here!! Its relaxing, plus informative! You're perfect just the way you are, lol!!
