I really love the fact that Karasuno lost. Because if they had won, yes it would have definitely been a feel-good moment but it would be completely unrealistic. Seijoh was the better team overall and more informed team and were one step ahead of Karasuno for majority of the game.
One of the aspects of an ace is “the player you toss to when you’re in a pinch.” The fact that Kageyama tossed to Hinata for that match point, and that Oikawa knew he would, means they both realize Hinata’s potential to fill that role.
When Karasuno lost to Seijoh I was in shock. I was so emotionally invested in that match that the after-credits hit me just as hard as the characters ;-;
I am so impressed with how quickly you understand the feelings and motivations of all of the characters in this show. It shows how invested you are in the characters and how good you are at picking up the little clues the storyline gives us. (Also, the relationship between Oikawa and his “Iwa-Chan” is my favorite thing and that you enjoy it makes me so happy) Definitely my top reactor for this series and can’t wait to check out some of your other reactions. I was expecting this to be a typical anime where the main characters always win at the end and just keep facing tougher and tougher opponents. So when they lost, my shock was real same as if my favorite team lost game 7 in the nba finals. This really is going to my hall of fame of favorite animes of all time!
I honestly reacted the same way you are with some of these episodes. When you know what it's like to be on a team and have that bond. It hits different.
