The Mitsubishi Pajero is a sport utility vehicle manufactured and marketed globally by Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi markets the SUV as the Montero in Spain, the Philippines and the Americas, except Brazil and Jamaica - and as the Shogun in the United Kingdom. The Pajero nameplate derives from Leopardus pajeros, the Pampas cat. Mitsubishi redesigned the Pajeros for a second generation, which debuted in January 1991, although exports did not commence until later in the year. Just about everything was now new and further enhanced. This model Pajero remained in production in India till 2012 as the Pajero SFX; the latest generation is sold as the Montero.

This is one of the finest SUV's ever. It's a shame that Mitsubishi is not focusing on the Indian market, and not bringing the new Montero via CKD route.

People started thinking this is outdated design. But, it was mechanically well engineered vehicle. Pajero is a true SUV.

This car is incredibly fully loaded if I am not wrong the mileage was over 2 Lakh kilometres and still no sounds of squeak and rattle. Its really a masterpiece I am going to look for one and buy one soon.

There is so much in this car to point out and explain and you took the pain to cover all the features..good job on that! I love this vehicle..it can put many modern suvs and cars to shame.. and the build quality is bullet proof and tank like..no cars can match upto this vehicle..12kmpl is actually not bad.. recently me and my wife were interested in pajero..i have an i20 petrol.. planning to sell it and get pajero..my biggest worries are - parts availability, parts price, service & maintenance, mechanic knowledge. I live in chennai..Any idea on these aspects?
