I've been flying early jets to face off against the P51H with its ridiculous BR and do my part to show why its BR should be lowered (to 5.7-6.0). Half my kills are P51Hs.

I think it's just because there was more water. Korea and Sicily gives bad quality videos it seems. This one is 50k bitrate compared to the 30k for the 10 previous ones, now I moved up to 100k to see if there's a difference.
@@AdamTheEnginerd @AdamTheEnginerd Yes, indeed, the more detailed and fast changing the scene is, the worse it will look, assuming there is a bitrate cap. Try uploading a video with small confetti moving randomly, it will look horrible.
It is specially apparent in the way I save "replays". I use NVIDIA's instant replay menu, which lets me save the last 5 minutes of gameplay on demand, in case something interesting happened.
When I crop the videos to send them on discord for example, I can send like 15 or 20 seconds of calm video. But as soon as I try to send a clip of intense action, discord only lets me send around 2 or 3. I could compress the video further to be able to send more time, but that'll just make it look potato.
Tbh i have more problems with yak23 or F84 ... those driving me crazy as 262 pilot ... others are not that big problem. Props are dangerous but if you keep your speed you can deal with them

very nice video. I'm also surprised to see so many jets and especially me262 go against an enemy team mostly of mustangs and spitfires. I remember the last time I played in my 262 I went against other jets even the occasional sabre or mig.

Hypothetically couldnt the P51h instead of diving to the deck gain energy by chasing you down then pull straight up to a climb and if you were to follow he would have the energy advantage due to the higher climb rate. Also due to the fact that you are heavier than him??

In this position I would have died in that first dive due to the magic of .50s, my #1 source of deaths in this thing is from P-51s in a dive I swear. Also, if the 51 H belongs at 6.3, then what about the one spit at 6.7? It has been up there forever and imo should come down, while the P-51 H goes back to 6.7 because it does not deserve the ability to 5.3 stomp.
People don't seem to do too well in the P51H. I don't see them carrying their team more than other planes. Also, at the time of this video the P51H was nearly always fighting jets, and fought the F84G regularly since it was at 7.3, and that wasn't fair to the P51H.
How did you get in a match with prop planes? I get uptiered all the time in me262, once I played with me 163 and a 9.0 plane, i remember
P51H was being spammed, so naturally they dragged jets into their matches.

I really don't have 10min worth of stuff to say haha, that's the issue. Also voiced videos take 10x longer to make, and I'm pretty busy.

Hi! In a spaded me262 what you should do when u face a spaded p80 and he has the same energy has you? I just died in this situation, as this was a 1v1 (1v1s are pretty uncommon in jet matches) and i dis not have time to climb up and gain the energy advantage.
Not much you can do, F80 is faster and turns better. Ideally you don't get into that situation, but if you do your best bet is to reverse him at high speed.

P80 doesn't exist, there's F80A and F80C.

Good flying! Honestly though, I'm a little unsure if the BR needs to go down still. Most of my friends with P-51Hs aren't reporting having this much trouble dealing with Me 262s and Ho 229s, even ones flown well. No offense, but I'm going to posit that the problem here isn't really with the *plane* so much as being a case of U.S. aircraft pilots of the average skill matched up with talented Me 262 pilots working together well.

The thing is that its BR is higher than planes that are better than it. The P51H is simply a higher performance P51D30 (with limited WEP) which is about 5% faster and 15% or so better climb (turn seems similar). Its armament, while decent in the 5.0 BR range, is really lacking at 6.7, and armament is very important in matches, especially in high tiers where you have little time on a target.
Essentially, its greatest asset is its speed, and it is completely outclassed by the jets at 7.0 BR in that regard, and it's going to be facing jets in about half its matches.
List of aircraft that are better than it at a lower BR:
-Spitfire Mk22
-F8f1B
-Yak15 (6.3 or 6.7?)
List of aircraft that are worse than it at a higher BR (not counting bombers):
-None
I predict a significantly lower win % for the P51H when compared to the F8F1B or the F84.
Hrm. I do remember seeing others saying that the P-51H compared pretty favorably to the Mk 22 Spitfires...even the Mk. 24 Spitfires, though. Unsure of its comparison to the Beercans however. Or the Yak-15, so I'll take your word for it there. :D I do think that the guns should've been M3s, and I thiiiiink some Hs did get those IRL? But yeah...I just see a lot of people saying it's able to handle 7.0 jets nicely so long as you fly it smartly, so I'm unsure. ^^; I need to fly out with it more and see how well it plays in my poorly skilled hands. XD

Mk22 Spitfire's performance is slightly less than the P51H, but what I'm saying is that armament is very important, and that makes the Mk22 more effective than the P51H in matches.

@@AdamTheEnginerd I don't think the bearcat is better than the p51h at all... I don't know how it was 3 years ago, but the p51h is definitely 6.7 material now imo. The tactics in this video wouldn't work on a well flown p51h.

Well, this is one of the few videos of you in a jet fight. I remember you once saying you're not very good at 8.0+, why so?
Just less practice in high tier jets. I'm decent, I'm just significantly better in props.
This is a bit late, but I think that's because of experience. You'll be playing lots of props due to the ridiculously high RP and SL requirement and the low rewards. As a result, transitioning to jets is not an easy thing to do since you have to adapt to new tactics instead of your old ones. Not to mention that R2Y2's tend to ruin the fun and the ridiculously high repair costs on some vehicles.
It's time for a new video against the F-89 and F2G.

Yup, this exhaust animation was removed a year or so ago.
4 years have passed, we're in 2021 and I don't think there are people claiming Me-262 has any serious problems with P-51Hs. But poor axis 6.0 fighters (including G.56, which is 6.0 plane at best pushed to 6.3 because "muh balance") are in a pretty bad spot when fighting those, especially since often axis teams get Ju-288C as their top planes and allies get several 6.3 fighters.
When used properly, Me-262 is basically untouchable even to P-51H, the other thing is getting shots on target, and here people like me suffer. With Kikka's Type 5s I'm getting plenty of "hits" (60g HE filler turn the engine of Meteor black from red, and does 0 damage to the wing or anything else or it hits the wing and turns part of it yellow, or 4 shells impact Su-11 and it gets black nose, black wingroots and still flies almost like new - at least here I got some crits, though useless :D), with MK108s I'm just hitting air :(
Wish there was a 6xMG151/20 variant of ME-262. Those cannons aren't that fast either, but compared to MK108... :D
The main issue with high tier German prop teams is indeed their high number of bombers.
Don't need 6 MG151s, just 2 are enough like on the Arado or the He162.
@@AdamTheEnginerd But you can't deny, 6 would be a lot more fun :) especially with quite sturdy jet damage models (He-162 is mostly fighting props) - also IRL it'd actually make sense, due to low accuracy and short time window of real-life jet attacks. 6 MG151 firing M-geschoss X with 25g of HA-41 (around 38-40g of TNT equivalent) would be deadly as hell.
I know Me-262 is by far NOT the best 7.0 jet, but the armanent makes the matters much worse and the worst part is nothing can be done about it, because Gaijin won't just give ME-262 armanent of the night fighter variant (2xMG151, 2xMK108) just because of "gameplay reasons", they need sources, and apparently real life designers/engineers didn't care about WT meta :(

Nah it doesn't have afterburner, WT shows a massive flame coming out the engines for cosmetic purposes I suppose.

You need a jet to catch a P51H that still has WEP. But if they engage you you can take them out in many planes, not only jets. P51H gets reckt by jets, and flew mostly against jets when it was at 6.7.

If you has problems with the P-51H, then what should I say, when I want to play with the N1K2? Actually the other nation's 5.3 materials are better, than the N1K2, which is in 6.3. The P-51H is a clearly 6.7 material.
You're comparing a good 6.3 to the worst 6.e, so that doesn't work out. Compare it to F8F, mk22, things like that.

It's so hard to actually get kills in this plane, the guns are so slow. Plus to BnZ with this you need actual team who stays alive. Yes I know you can just run and they can't catch you but it's so boring and they will win on tickets by ground pounding. This would be so much fun if it had MG151s or MK103s instead of 108s.

Yeah it requires a PC or a PS4 or the latest XBOX. Most people play on PC (and it's better on PC). It cannot be played on a smartphone.
So you need to get yourself a PC. War Thunder is free to play so you don't need to pay extra.

It also takes much more time to make and doesn't add much in the matches. But, I did use voice when I had to explain more complicated things in a lower amount of time, like in my reversal video. I also don't have a very interesting voice either.

@@AdamTheEnginerd the spitfire mk24 excels at high speed fighting, but once there's a stallfight both mk24 and mk22 suffer. P51h is one of the few that can stallfight as good as yak 9u and 3p/3u and ki84
Those Spitfires would beat the P51H fairly easily in a dogfight setting though.
@@AdamTheEnginerd I doubt it. If a Yak 9u/p has big chances against mk22 by using brute engine power and verticalling, a Mustang H will have even more. MK24 is an exception, it has 300+hp upgrade with just fuel injection and 150 octane fuel mods alone
