You absolutely need to run lower air pressure in your tires for sand hallow and dunes in general. I would assume you were probably around 14 psi which is just way too high for those dunes, i run about 4-6psi in sand hallow/dunes like that and never get stuck, just make sure to have real beadlocks.
What a fun adventure! That ZR2 looks like it was eating up the sand when it wasn't almost getting stuck.
It was a fun time. Airing down to about 12psi really helped get up moving. No getting stuck for us!

Yes. That would have been expensive. We still had a few tricks up our sleeve to try before total panic.

We lowered to 12psi and we're able to get out. Bead locks are a little too expensive for us right now. We may look at getting some in the future.
