Hi Rob, I am having the same problem on my caravan, so I’m going to follow your lead and take it off myself and have a look, your video was very informative and helpful to watch, snd I will let you know how I get on. Also loved your end part with your bloopers, ha ha very good. Regards Darren
It’s good to know my video may aid you in your repair Darren. Appreciate you’ll let me know how you get on 👍. My mover hasn’t been any trouble since. Glad the bloopers made you smile 😁. Cheers Rob
An afterthought Darren, I should have mentioned not to apply grease to the sliding bar. Use silicone spray only. Grease can attract grit etc and cause other problems. Cheers Rob
Hi Martin, Biggest part of the job was taking it apart and putting it back together. Saved myself a few hours labour charges there. Thanks for staying tuned in to the end! Rob
Haha, loved the outtakes. Surprising how your mind can just go blank, as mine does, quite often. What a result though taking it apart and fixing, Well done, and as you say, saved you quite a bit. Thanks for sharing. Graham
I had the same problem with my Reich Ecoline mover, and already had made an appointment with my dealer for repair. But now I was able to solve myself, thanks to Rob and his video. This saved me a long waiting time for the repair appointment (2 months)., not being able to go away. Because it feels a typical Reich mover problem, does it help adding "Reich" somewhere in the title of the video?
Really pleased my video helped out Leo, saved you some money and a lot of messing around. Good idea about adding Reich to the title, thank you for that. Happy touring 2024. Cheers Rob👍
Thou does appear to struggle with tools mind and I did struggle too with the end bits for a while - good one, or two or more. That compact build is much better than some of the units I have seen and to remove them is a piece of cake.
Sometimes difficult on your own and with a camera rolling! I agree, the compact is one of the neatest looking units I've seen. Oh, glad you got the outakes... end of a long day. Thanks for watching. Rob
Nice one rob dread to think how much a dealership would have charge for that job with just a lose connection well worth looking if u got the know how .kev
Didn't know what to expect but guessed it would be wiring related. Yes I saved a lot of dealership hassle... and money! Thanks for watching Kev. Regards Rob
Dear Caravaners, I am going to buy a Used Caravan from England with powrtouch freedom motor mover, but they lost remote control. Some one knows how can I get a new remote control for this mover? Thank you
You can contact Powertouch at www.powertouch.com or telephone them on 01283 587900. You could ask the seller to provide a new remote and agree a price. Hope this helps. Rob
