Sakuraba-san took a lot of inspiration from the 1970's prog supergroup called U.K. In the group, they had a keyboardist who doubled as a violinist, a guitarist, a bassist/singer, and a drummer. The musical similarities between U.K. and Sakuraba are strikingly similar. Seeing the inclusion of the violinist in this concert made me think of this supergroup that much more.

I think he might have been influenced by Jean-Luc Ponty's work as well, there are similarities between the two without a shadow of a doubt. Love them both though.

Bare Its Fangs is one of my favourites, and End of a Thought is one of those songs that stick with me. Plus, Mysterious Arms Soma is TIGHT.
