I remember when the Calibre first dropped. Ads plastered all over Vegas. They didn’t stick. I think it is because they wear a bit big and not a very readable dials. Cartier fans generally like a more elegant piece.

Love the Cartier de Calibre, own the 38mm version, think the dial is cleaner, especially the date window. Just oozes style, the case design is killer!

Tissot PRX ice blue and PRX Panda Chrono owner here. The amount of enjoyment I get out of these two watches is insane, yes, the chrono was 30% discounted, which helps, but I am enjoying these a lot. Besides my higher end collection of Breguet, Blancpain, Breitling, Omega, Rolex, Vacheron etc. I just love good watches, in all price ranges

I disagree that prx doesnt hold 50% value in the used market. It absolutely does. Prx auto retails for 975 CAD pretax and generally goes for 650-750 in the used market and 300-400 for the quartz. I know this because im a watch flipper and this price range is my bread n butter.

The Tissot section at department stores used to have dress watches some Invicta looking things and maybe a couple chronographs. Now-a-days the Tissot section is PRX headquarters USA in all colors. They want you to know that they make a bunch of them. There is no wait lists I promise!

I think the Zenith Captain is a lovely, restrained and stylish watch. Especially the central second boutique version with Arabic numerals that they made a few years ago.
