So recall from my young days brought up in a then rangers stronghold though Jimmy jinky Johnstone as a kid made me a celtic supporter through the mid 60s and beyond , great team i loved dearly as a kid growing up , and Manager Jock Stein he being the best ever there's ever been in my book . Rip to all that famous side , most not with us today , and all the very best to the few of them still here .
Only 2 of the Lions weren't from Glasgow. Bobby (Saltcoats/Ardeer) and Tommy (Motherwell). Dundee Utd actually beat us twice that season and Rangers reached the final of the Cup winners cup. Glory times for Celtic and Scottish football.
Daft thing is, I done some custom bike shows in Ardeer. And my ex worked at a school that's still under investigation. I should've known that. Bobby is still with us as is Jim and Willie. The rest are sadly gone. RIP the Lions.

Jock should have been knighted as Sir Matt Busby was a year later. Says it all. Knighthood for Jock Stein
Celtic won the quintuple that year. The League, Scottish cup, league cup, European cup and the Glasgow cup. 5 competitions 5 trophies.
Hail hail 🍀💚
There Must be a film made of this amazing story some day its a true drama worthy of the silver screen
