Goncalo Costa you mad no sense lol ...in this video composing and producing is the same thing. He had to edit and filter alot to get the sounds to manipulate forbthe purpose of this "production" ...either way he produced a track and if you didnt notice he was running pro tools which is one of many but probably the most common amd standard for producer type DAWs
Tom Misch is f#*cking genius. I loved geography hoping he breaks through. He's got a soulquarian style, with a crooner voice and produces like a turntablist. He's dope.
RAW TALENT!!!!! His approach and the way he’s mixing software with live instruments is truly unreal. 2nd and 3rd beat had the makings of perfect. Drums are nice as well!!!!
Been a fan of Tom's for a while now and knew this would be fire. Especially after watching his "Whats in my bag?" and seeing his digs. Big ups Mass Appeal.
For real, why don't they link the songs they make after each video? They're paying them already might as well just buy the rights for those tracks too. Teasing us with these 15 second samples of each beat.
This dude is so talented, so musically gifted. Sings awesome, plays a lot of instruments... Just amazing. Loved his Against the Clock session and he knocked out this Rhythm Roulette too!
I got put on to Tom thru listening to Yussef Dayes. the fusion of those too together with Mansur Brown is beautiful music......Yussef Dayes on the drums is out of this world.
I think I wrote this already years ago, but who else is dying everytime Tom just randomly lays the vocal melody over the last beat at 7:44 such a genius, amazing
For those curious... that Lisa Lisa bit is Let the Beat Hit 'Em Part 2 (club/dub mix) took like 20 minutes of searching but man is that good!! Tom Misch I salute you man. That was dope as heck.
@@trevormck13By 1/2 do you mean the slowing the tempo down by half? Atleast I think he chopped it up so that the sample loop matches the tempo (by listening to the meteronome) he is using. If that doesnt make sense, tell me if you are using a DAW (and which one) and ill try to explain how you do it
Been loving him and his sister’s work for a while. 5 day mischsion is one of my Favorite albums. Thanks mass appeal for giving him more of the exposure he deserves.
Dude got so many sick samples on those records, one of the best selections I’ve heard on this show, and he didn’t use a lot of them. Def dope tho, dudes got a lot of talent and knows what he wants, I’m just surprised he didn’t use some of the samples I heard
LOL At 7:30 when you get that perfect note/pattern. This was so dope. He's in my Personal top 3 Rhythm Roulette , Behind the Sample God 9th Wonder and Charlie heat.
"lo-fi SoundCloud producer" pfffft. that's such a insult. Are you sure you've been following the right Tom Misch? He actually plays jazz, doesn't just rip a jazz sample add some boom bap and anime woffle.
3:20-4:20 is still my absolute favorite minute of this video. The pacing and the discovery process of this version is far and away superior to the final version played at the end. This music right here speaks to me deeply. I wish this were a whole track.
This guy was incredible. One of my favourite rhythm roulettes so far.
Absolutely agree with you!!
For real... always good .. nice and simple...
so he basically just made an EP lol
ibrahim gheryanii 😂😂😂

Now this is a producer!!
KSJDbv wow. I just see skill and love for that skill and dedication.
Check out his Against The Clock with FactMagazine, just as fire as this video
that was more like a session player.

@@alexgarcia7104 he ain't using pro tools, yo can clearly see it at 6:08, it's Logic Pro :)
Tom is such a talented producer he can create both a banging hip hop track then make some sweet jazz
He can really get down on some drum and bass as well.
He did really well. I like it when we get a beat made from each record.
djdrwatson Same. Only the most talented producers can find a beat in every record.
I think they should change the rules and make it so they have to make a beat from a song on each record, it would make it way more interesting
This dude is incredible. Saw him perform a few weeks ago in Philly and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen.
facts! amazing live show!
I was there!
Damn i can imagine. Lucky you! I hope someday I get a chance as well!

Tom Misch is f#*cking genius. I loved geography hoping he breaks through. He's got a soulquarian style, with a crooner voice and produces like a turntablist. He's dope.
What We Dig agreed agreed agreed. It’s impossible for him to make a track without an insane amount of funk
Thanks to Tom Misch for getting busy here on Rhythm Roulette.

High Key obsessed with anything Tom Misch does. I play Geography all the time, 5 Day Mischon, the beat tapes, everything. Amazing producer!

I love that so many folks are finally getting notice of Tom....dude is dope! Need a Jordan Rakei RR next.
RAW TALENT!!!!!
His approach and the way he’s mixing software with live instruments is truly unreal. 2nd and 3rd beat had the makings of perfect.

Been listening to Tom for 3 years now, and his sound still amazes me..
He makes it look effortless... this is one of the best rhythm roulettes ever I think. So inspiring man
@TomMisch U r the SH!T! You are one of my biggest inspirations. Cannot wait until you visit San Diego.
that last beat doe, I need a full version
Relapsation I'm completely in love with it. I need it
bro I'm boutta rip this video and loop all these beats for my listening pleasure hahah
Find the sample & remake it lol

This man can do no wrong
Elevated Jam Tracks man who you kidding?!

This is so amazing. Didn't expect to see Tom Misch on a Rhythm Roulette, what a pleasant suprise :)
I've been following him since 2014.. and having his song Sunshine as my ringtone. So proud to be his fan!!!!!!!

Nothing better than talented musicians knowing how to produce.
this man is super talented in all aspects of music
This dude is so talented, so musically gifted. Sings awesome, plays a lot of instruments... Just amazing. Loved his Against the Clock session and he knocked out this Rhythm Roulette too!
Although this is a mainly hip-hop show I like to see a little change of pace from time to time
Mellow Mike tom misch can make hip hop beats too but he usually doesn't
I got put on to Tom thru listening to Yussef Dayes. the fusion of those too together with Mansur Brown is beautiful music......Yussef Dayes on the drums is out of this world.
0:48 mad how he found this by accident and now that sample is one of the biggest songs in the world
BOTA sample
Wonder if Interplanetary Criminal found it through this video...
@@jamie7361 great point
i already liked it before even watching it that's how much faith I got in Tom Misch...
That last beat crazy
I think I wrote this already years ago, but who else is dying everytime Tom just randomly lays the vocal melody over the last beat at 7:44
such a genius, amazing
reason I wrote this is for me to get back to this part 1h straight
Reminds me so much of James Blake. It’s great
you don’t hear the bass you feel it. gahdamn
It always seems like you guys know when I'm having a bad day, and so you bless my life with an incredible episode. Love the Mass Appeal family.
He actually listens to the whole records like a real man
This guy is super talented. One of my fave RR episodes.
I already knew what to expect so I got my like on right quick. Good one RR!
This has to be released

EVERY SONG HE MADE WAS BEAUTIFUL
That third beat is fire! Nicely done ✅
I love this guy's music. He was the first one I've seen really do this feature any true justice; 3 different records=3 different beats. WOW!
This was one of my favorite RR so far
Super Talented!! Great episode.. dude was rockin out!!
Good to see ya doing big things, Tom Misch! Great session.
This guy knows what he's doing! I absolutely enjoyed this
One of my favourite shows featuring one of my favourite producers. It's a good day ✌️😎
Awesome video. Always love seeing Tom in action! One of my favorite artists fasho.
5:44 I like the drum line. That remembered me the drums on The Internet "Girl"
my man is a beast! Great one mass appeal! Keep us inspired!
That last joint tho! All his beats came out NICE!! S/O Mass Appeal for this one
One of the best RR sessions I've seen in a bit. Hats off to Tom!!!!

facts
Right?! And on top of that, all of his mixes deliciously clean. Lo-Fi doesn't even come near what he does.
I knew homie from his work with fkj....,who I vote should be next if he is not already on RR. TM is just too talented.....
He just the final boss
whoknows he doesn’t play jazz lol
mad skills, loved how he could here the next layer coming and was vocalising the guitar or singing
sounds amazing. love to see something else. this dude, really got it! peace and love from Romania.
Lisa Lisa is still played in my house on vinyl....So glad you liked it Tom.... Thank you for a wonderful gig in Brixton this evening...
Never heard of Tom, but im glad i did now! Good stuff!!!

6:12 that KWEST Beats head nod kick pattern
This is one of the best of the bunch. This guy knows that music is a feeling!
I like how he sounds the drums with his mouth before he adds them
I do that too. It's very useful so you can hear it and then play it.
This channel is a good way to find new artists to listen to, I checked out Tom’s new album, it’s ridiculous! Highly recommend copping it
Loyle carner and Tom misch make good music
I've come back to this so many times...hes a beast
tom misch, what a legend

Limitless talent. Saw this lad live in Williamsburg, fucking killed it! Big love to you Tom!
This is up there with 9th Wonder and Stro Elliot.
Steven Injety nope.

Stro's was fire
This is the best RR I’ve seen yet. Crazy vibes.
The last beat was fire 🔥
So skilled. Also great example of paying attention to the key/pitch of the drums! Salute
Super legit. Didn't know Kevin Love knew how to make beats.
Wow impressed by the ability to adapt to all kind of genre. Good job!
6:57 so litttt. the drop is dope
That second track was amazing. Would've never picked that sample myself. But those chords he came up with, and the rhythm, damn.
