I think his game went off the rails for a period of time, i think hes just happy to be competing at the highest level at 47? a fantastic player in a era of higgins and O'sullivan. without those 2 with him in the class of 92 then his 3 world titles would easily become 6. a great guy too.

I was playing a tournament semi final at the club last night and was literally shaking potting the pink at end as it was the game ball! Cant even imagine what these guys go through with everyone watching

would have loved to see mark v ronnie in the final, to me they were the best players in the tournament. but at least we had this semi final, watched it in my local club ( same town as mark's snooker club) and it was electric.

Trump got so lucky in that final frame he always seems to fluke something in the perfect moments in matches! Really wished Mark won that match

I am dying here watching old clips but still having fun!
The Championship league starts on Monday 27th June, However that is the worst tournament on the snooker calendar and one I never enjoy. So for me the snooker season actually starts on 16th August for the European Masters.

Fabulous match. Really thought Williams was gonna pull it off after being so far behind then ended up leading. Incredible play from both though. Terrific match.
Every time I look back at this match it just reminds me that Judd went on to lose the final. So this match doesn't really give me much satisfaction overall if that makes sense. Of course, at the time I was so relieved Judd won this match, it was so so nervy. I actually thought maybe winning a match like this would give Judd that extra boost in the final but unfortunately it had the opposite effect :(

Opposite what? The final had nothing with Judd. Ronnie was unplayable, even with Judd playing his best, Ronnie would have won. No chance.

What a classy break to go 9-3. But the missed red in the 15th frame by Mark cost him. He would have had a shot of getting out of that session 10-6 instead of potentially being 12-4 down if he'd won that frame. I think that that was where the match was lost.
