Hey Brian, I really enjoy your videos. I'm in the process of rebuilding a 440i, and I've followed you, and the manual to a T. It is now leaking at the top of the lower fluid section, and for the life of me I can't figure it out.
Great video and helpful.... l have epx2215 that giving me headache replace the piston and the packings and have a pressure leack on the small hole on the side of the piston on the front panel
@@Brian_the_repair_guy thank you as always your very helpful and taking the time to respond thank you.... if you take the cover off had a small hole on the side where the piston goes up n down
@@aveumartinez9167 ok, if you have a leak at the packing nut, then the packings are damaged. Also check the piston to make sure the piston is smooth with no scratches. That can lead to a leak also.
Hey Brian, I enjoy your video. I did the packing process in my titan 440i when is turn up the machine won't build pressure at all. If you can help appreciate, thank you
If thebpackings are installed properly but you have no pressure, more than likely the upper or lower ball is not seating properly. Make sure both are moving freely
thank you brian. i have a loss of pressure for my titan but no leak while pressure is off. Seems like pump issue and hopefully clearing ball bearings will help. let me know if you see this and i am mssing something
@@Brian_the_repair_guy the ball bearing looked good. i took it into a pump repair place and they couldn't exactly pinpoint between either repacking or something with the pressure gauge. So i left it there. i can let you know the outcome.
I have an old spray tech machine. Seems to not have enough pressure. I usually have to run it with pressure turned up all the way but the pressure knob actually Unwinds itself as I’m spraying.
@@Brian_the_repair_guy it doesn’t really spray good no matter what I set it at. I can’t get a good spray pattern even with a new tip. The pressure does reduce some as the knob backs off but there doesn’t seem to be a wide range of adjustable pressure
Hi brian, ive got loss of pressure on my titan 440, it works absoluty fine when im using small tips, but when i use a 621 it only holds pressure for one pass then fades out...surely this machine can hanlde a 621...
@@Brian_the_repair_guy I've done some tip testing today, with standard emulsion, found it sprays fine with 819, but yea went back to 621 and machine was struggling so went back to 819 and carried on....think I'll just stick to using the 640i when doing a lot of spraying
@@fletcher-nf4pn no disrespect to the mechanic, I have seen many machine that where just replaced. The machine should operate with the tip you had and the product you are using. Do you have a high pressure gauge?
Your videos are a lifesaver
Very glad to help
I took off the main valve and put on a high pressure tap. I solved the problem forever. We Italians know how to invent everything

Tell me exactly where the leak is. Is it at the piston, or where the cylinder screws to the block

A 21 is almost the max. These tips require trigger pulls that are on and off, not steady.
What product are you spraying?

@@fletcher-nf4pn the packings and or piston can be a bit worn on the 440. This could explain the lack of power with larger tip.
