TITAN IMPACT X 120 backpack sprayer review,
Today I will review the Titan Impact X 120 backpack sprayer. This is an 18volt system that performed really well. Very light and quiet. Does a great job atomizing paint at low pressure.

Thank you for the demonstration video. I have a battery operated hand held sprayer made by Titans competitor. And I like the convenience of the hand held, however, I do have a couple grievances with the hand held. Sometimes the hand held doesn't hold enough paint for any given project. I can see the value in the titan x120 being a better fit for some "bigger" paint projects. My other issue with these types of sprayers are the amount of time spent cleaning the machine and storing it away for next use. Literally knowing the length of time it will take to thoroughly clean keeps me from wanting to use it. Seems the battery operated sprayers are sensitive this way. I found I need to be sure I have extra batteries nearby for cleaning purposes. Other than "clean out" I like the concepts. Thanks for the video.
@@Readyfreddyize I have many customers with the same thoughts on clean out. The handheld and battery operated machines like this are made with lighter more delicate parts to keep weight down. With that is mind, 1 thing that is a concern. One is the power to performance ratio. The machine has enough power to actually damage the machine during a faulty performance. Like stuck valves or clogged system. This is why the clean up is so crucial. All machines should be cleaned inside and out as well as a handheld machine is cleaned. The standard airless is much more durable and will operate just fine without cleaning it well.
Excellent explanation .

How hot do these pumps typically run and what temps start to indicate a problem with them?
@@KB-ie7jr the pump should not be hot to the touch, very warm ok. If you don't have a thermal valve, put one on. If you do, replace them every couple years. Corrosion will prevent them from working properly

What weird is the pressure washer with a cat pump has the same 5years warranty as a one you just showed a better oil lubricated one. Makes nonsense. I think both can last if you take care of it from the start agree???
@@summerforever6736 yes, CAT is a great pump. Even the cheapest Chinese pump will typically last with care. On average CAT is the most expensive to purchase, maintain and parts. @@Brian_the_repair_guy Hi Brian, for some reason the lips on the blue seals were cut off when hammering the piston into the sleeve. Even with lubrication and the slight lead that's machined into the sleeve.
@@wayne3340 that can happen, the blue worm appears from time to time. To prevent this, you can leave the piston valve loose, after you push the piston through, push it enough to allow the wrench to tighten the piston vlave at the other end
@@Brian_the_repair_guyThanks Brian. It was my mistake, and I wonder if some others have done the same thing. I didn't recognize the old retaining ring up against the hex of the outlet valve. When I disassembled it to install my 2nd seal kit, it came off. That's why I couldn't feel it tighten up and I compressed the seal pack. Thanks again.

Excellent presentation. Thank you! Just bought a 640 that I bought at auction with low hours but condition was unknown. Was using with poly and lacquer and there was paint loaded on the intake tube and a little on the house but the fluid body had no wear no rust. LCD and controls worked and no paint blow through behind the front cover. Video will help me when I get it hooked up to a hose and gun. Paid only 65 dollars which is unbelievable. I asked my local dealer how to clean paint from the housing, cart etc without damaging the plastic - they said nothing. Found out you can use a pressure steamer. I'll upload a picture - no damage, takes a little while but the machine now looks brand new - not kidding. Paint blasted right off chrome frame, cord, housing etc. My machine looked similar to the one in the video - maybe cleaner.
