Thanks for the honest review, Andre. I was thinking about picking this accessory pack up, but after seeing the way some of these pieces turned out, I’ve definitely changed my mind. The price is way too high for what you’re getting. I’m still waiting on Sideshow for my Mark L, that thing looks beautiful. Thanks again for the in-depth review, man. Solid job. 👍
Hey Ryan, thanks for the feedback. You will be veeery pleased with the Mark L! Good luck getting him, and hopefully without scratches....i saw today some photos of people who got their figure with scratches on. On mine the visor of the clean faceplate has a tiny tiny glue bubble (right eye), it's not visible on the video but you can see it
in person since the glue bubble throws kind of a small shadow / reflection...it bothers me quite a bit.
xenom0rph I know how you feel. The reason I’m waiting on Sideshow, is for a replacement. Mine came with paint scratches all across the helmet. Still a beautiful figure, but hearing this, I think Hot Toys needed a little more quality control on this release.

I was looking for your Mk 50 review but completely understand you've been busy living life - which of course is much more important than figure reviews. Congratulations on your upcoming move and digs; hoping it all goes well. Secondly, this is the very best combined review of the Mk 50/accessories kit I've seen. Appreciate you taking the time to show us how it all comes together and supported by actual movie clips. For instance, I just noticed the 'lobster claw' and arm cannons are on the opposite sides on the Hot Toys versus actual movie; wonder why that happened? I also noted your comments on lack of battle damage. I've read in other forums/posts that the bleeding edge armor, when at full capability, would remove any weathering effects. It was only after it was damaged that we started to see weathering/damage effects. In sum, OUTSTANDING!!! Thanks again.
Hey Rob, thank you so much for the kind comment. :-) I really have to collect every bit of spare time and plan these videos , it's taking me from start to finish alost 2 full days, especially with soo many accessories to cover and shooting in parallel photos of all the poses, cutting then everything together and aligning with the movie footage is really time consuming...then rendering of such a video takes almost 2 hours, uploading on youtube half an hour and have it processed by youtube to get to full 4k takes half a day. So I'm really happy you could profit from watching. Yes, the weapon position is also not really clear to me...when i checked the footage it seems that he uses the lobster cannon already earlier in new york in the ebony maw / black dwarf battle. Did not know that trivia about the bleeding edge armor, but somehow it makes sense...if it's all Nano particles they basically can rebuild the suit all day long - 24 / 7. :-)

Just picked up the mark 50 for 190 US brand new, then picked up the accessory kit special edition for 135 US brand new I would say at that price it’s definitely worth it.
Thanks for the review. I'm sure some other fans already did this but yeah what makes that accessories kit even more underwhelming is that they didn't put his "fin funnels" in, the one thing that Tony took a page out of in Gundam. Now if he took another page out of Gundam he probably wouldn't have been stabbed if he had just thought wrist "beam sabers"!

You could match the "missile launcher" in the fight against black dwarf, when black dwarf threw spider away, Tony was shooting 2 beams of repulsor beam while flying around him. It's a blink or miss it moment. Pause it at the right moment and it will show on his left arm
Thanks for the hint, i checked that scene but missed it - it's def. a repulsor cannon, not sure if it looks like the one hot toys created here.

the painted light features look good in the opening of the video. would definitely be best to display with a light facing the figure
Hey hey Brian, thank you :-) The ain't look to bad under certain lighting conditions, that's right. But it's just not matching the rest of the high quality gloss elements of the diecast figure.
i don't get why people are hating on this pack so much... we should be grateful they freaking made it...... no wonder why hot toys never tries anything new to make because they are to scared of all you people who hate on stuff like this
Yup, this I totally support. I love Hot Toys fan service very much on this set - so many detailed accessories of stuff that is only in the movie for seconds.
But the price for the accessory set costs so much 😥 .. i wouldn't complain if the accessory set costs $80-150

I ordered the Mark L with the accessory set but i wish i didnt buy the accessory set 😂 . I made a big mistake
My accessories will be here in July... I REALLY hope someone figures out a process to mod these to add battle damage... scratches/pitting (maybe some singe effects).
This is a great, honest review.. So many of the other reviews kiss HTs ass to the point you wanna throw up but you kept it honest.
I personally think this is, hands down, the worst design of armor from an asthetic view but the price for what you get is almost criminal. And to have the Gaul to now charge $200+ for the accessories that should have been included in the box... Wow..
And then to use stickers instead of actual lights.. This is for people that essentially lease these figures for a few years then sell them.. Easy pass... 👍
Hey mate, thanks for the watch and comment. That's actually a great idea - leasing of Hot toys, as it is with other premium consumables like expensive cars etc. Or event rent them, then be able to return it at a later stage in life. Let's calculate a business case and make a start-up. :-) Hehe It would be a nightmare to judge the value of a figure over time considering everything that can happen in this industry.

@dalfie well then everyone can't see then and are misinformed big time because if you ACTUALLY look at the 2 weapons he already comes with they are 100% CLEAN JUST LIKE EVERYTHING IN THIS PACK yet no one complains about them

@dalfie people are just ungrateful especially since the detail and engineering is amazing and exactly like the stuff he comes with, yes the price is high but people should already know hot toys is a very expensive hobby.... imo ignorance is bliss i guess people just don't get things.... i love the pack.... I'm grateful because hot toys didn't even need to do it but they did for the fans but guess what they get in return ungrateful people complaining....... thats probably why hot toys never leaves their comfort zones on trying new things because this happens
