Mary Tudor || Mary On A Cross

- Often misunderstood Mary was a victim of her own father, her first stepmother, her half brother, his regents and even her own husband. Mary was dubbed Bloody Mary by historians during the Elizabethan era (1558-1603), while her own sister also sent many people to the stake. The only difference was their religion. She only ruled for 5 years, which is far too short for people to remember the good things she did. I do try to make people aware of the good things she did and to show people it was a different time and therefore things were handled a different matter. Now I was finally able to add some footage of the time she reigned, since there aren't many films nor series about it. Luckily Spain still did its best, yet it was not entirely accurate.
Hope you all like this video and thanks for watching.

SHE LOOKS SO MUCH LIKE ANNE BOLEYN
I agree, yet her face is less puffy so to say. And the scene they have together is so well done. You can really feel the hate from both sides.
She soo long waiting can be Queen of England but ..

Hope mary have 1 movie
like Elizabeth 1 😔
Mary 😢❤
I can't express how much I love Mary I because she suffered a lot in her life because of Henry. I love browsing through it. It is very interesting to read about her and her life.
Agreed, that's why I love her as well. But I also love how she managed to overcome all the pain she suffered. And we know Henry did care about her, yet he was a selfish man who wasn't able to put his own desires aside for the people he cared about. But we (my husband and I who run this channel) create at least one video a month about her just to honour her.
@@TudorDarknessAww, that's so nice. Yes, I want to be just like her, brave and determined, without the burning part. She coped with the pain as best she could, even though no one was there to comfort her. She is great. Her father really loved her when she was a little girl, until he and Catherine of Aragon divorced, and then everything changed. He gave up his daughter because she was not a man. He is disgusting, and everyone called Mary bloody, and no one vilified Henry, who killed two of his six wives. I just adore her. Poor thing, even her husband left her, but she was iconic. I hate when sometimes they portray her as a villain in articles about her and don't go into the story in detail. I think Mary would be happy to hear that people love her today and a lot, but now that she's dead... I can only feel sorry for her.
@@user-te6vy1tc8i =3. Seeing her as an inspiration will make you just as brave and determined, because every time you think you fail you just think of her, which will make you stronger. She absolutely did, she never gave up. Chapuys did comfort her for a while, but she was alone for most of her life. He still loved her, but he was just very selfish. Henry thought with what was hanging between his legs instead of his mind. For him it wasn't mind over matter but matter over mind. Henry has been vilified now, they call him a tyrant and I follow a course by Suzannah Lipscomb, and she shows how selfish he was. Philip II of Spain thought of it as a political marriage and he treated her like garbage. She must have been so unhappy =[. Mary would love to hear people still care about her and Elizabeth's success was gained by the plans Mary made during her reign. People seem to forget about that.
@@TudorDarkness Like, literally, I don't know if Henry really loved her that much, but he was selfish because he wouldn't let her go to her mom's funeral. I am glad that now there are people who love Mary because of her bad life and character. She was strong enough to deal with life and when we look at her depressions, illnesses, people who constantly hurt her, we see how strong she was and I really like that about her. And I agree. Philip II of Spain was a bad husband and Mary deserved a million times more than what she was getting.
@@user-te6vy1tc8i He did love her, but in his own way. True, but that's a part of his ego. He wanted to be right, therefore she had to listen. Same, luckily the history books are also changing it. It's a slow process but at least it's changing. Exactly and what people mustn't forget as well is that her trauma caused her to be this way as well. She suffered so much during her brother's Protestant regime, she must have feared the people who were behind it.
Agreed, yet she loved her mum's dynasty and therefore chose him as a husband.
I love mary 😢❤😢❤
Same and she deserves more love.
@@TudorDarknessyess really sad she have title " Bloody Mary " 😢😢
@@gon10suke94 she did not deserve that title
Not many tributes out there that I can find love this 😊
Thank you, Mary is one of my favourite historical figures, so I often create videos about her.
@@TudorDarkness 😁
I’m here after watching her and Elizabeth made small appearance in AHS
Although AHS added a lot of fiction to it, Mary probably would have taken the deal in order to just have a baby. She wanted to be a mum so badly and she could have been a mum. Yet Henry wasn't the wisest at decisions.
BTW we love AHS as well.
Sarah bolger really prettty perfect Mary ❤

@@gon10suke94 they did, it was a different time. It wasn't about love, it was all about politics.
