Now this what we call Malaysian Hospitality. You both are so lucky to get a real Malaysian Hospitality. Not many tourist/backpackers/foreigners had the experience like both of you. I'm so proud of abang Ajib and abang Dino and their families.
You have celebrated 2 rayas with Abg Ajeeb and i hope you can come back in future to attend his wedding..which is a whole new experience. Anyway, i really enjoyed watching you guys. You should try staying in Malaysia one full year. Start by celebrating New Year, then, Chinese New Year, 2 Hari Rayas, Deepavali, Mooncake festival, Thaipusam, Pesta Keamatan in Sabah on 30th May and Gawai Dayak in Sarawak on 1st and 2nd Jun, Christmas. All these celebrations involve open house visits like what you did with Abg Ajeeb. So imagine the people that you will meet and the amount/ variety of food you will eat. So for us Malaysians..there's no concept of dieting every year.
If invited to someone's house even for an open house, it would be very nice to resiprocate for all the preparation hardworks. Gifts specially for the ladies doing all the cookings will be much appreciated.
I still remember when I was a kid, we will go back to our father's kampung in Johor and in the space of three days, we will visit around 15 of my father's relatives' houses and they would all serve us very huge spread of meals.. That explains the stretch marks I have on my waistline lol! I love both of your Hari Raya outfits, especially Ivana's. Both of you really looked the part 👍
